  1. If Alex Mack is on the board in the 2nd round or if we have a chance to move up into the 1st round to grab him, you take him. I have to imagine with our 1st round pick we take the best available DE/OLB. Whoever can hit the QB and hit him hard.
  2. No offense, but I think that you are totally wrong. The difference between being aggressive when you are down 2 points and being conservative when you are up by 3 is night and day. When you are up by 3 points, you run out the clock. If it were 2nd and 10, it would be a different story. But, when you are running the ball at a dominant pace and you have 5 yard to go in order to win the game, you don't call that play. A play action roll out is risky no matter what, it is even riskier when your QB is known for having zero pocket presence and for fumbling the football. To say IF a play were successful is pointless in this context. Even if he completed the pass there would have been people saying it was a risky call. Lets also note that the news cycle of this story has been more "What a stupid playcall" than it has been "The Jets pull off a miracle".
  3. I would bet anything that around the 4th, 5th round, we will draft a QB and Hamdan will be our 2nd stringer. I would love to see it be Tebow bc I think he is vastly underrated as a potential NFL QB, but I have a feeling he will be drafted between the 2nd and 3rd round as a multi-pronged player (QB, TE, FB, etc).
  4. Out of all the of the dropped passes, very few fell on the responsibility of the receiver. Even the pass that Lynch dropped, the ball had no spiral and he had 3 linebackers charging at him. Remember, this was on 3rd and long, and JP tries to dump it off to Lynch for what would have been MAYBE a 4 yard gain. Which reminds me, everyone is talking about Losman's terrible judgment in the pocket and inability to sense pressure, but how about the fact that he had over a minute to get down the field. With no timeouts, JP threw 4-6 yard passes to the middle of the field. The receivers had no chance to get out of bounds much less get down the field. Why is no one discussing this? Were those blown play calls or did JP just check down too early?
  5. If you look at the performance of this years rookie WR's, only 2, maybe 3 rookies are performing better than Hardy. One of which is Avery, and you can't tell me you would rather have Avery! In terms of TDs, the last time I checked, Hardy was either tied for 2nd, or 3rd out of the rookies with 2 TD's. He clearly has work to do, but he has caught 1/5 of Trent's TD passes. I think if we came into this season saying Hardy would catch 1/5 of Trent's TD passes we'd be happy.
  6. I think you are being sarcastic more than realistic, clearly being from the south is no reason for you not to be drafted by a team from the frozen tundra of Upstate NY. Though to be fair, you left out Edwards, who is probably the only legitimate question in terms of durability in poor weather conditions.
  7. Is this viewed as an actual injury to TE, or a nice way of pulling him out? Was he really playing that terrible? No way can he be worse than JP, but it will be pretty sad if we end this season with a different starting QB than Edwards.
  8. Reading NFL game center's description of what is happening makes me pretty embarrassed for the Bills: Things like the ball being "bounced" to the receiver Lynch just fumbled Edwards runs for no gain, scrambles for 2 yard. Terrible. Is the weather really this bad? And is one linebacker really dominating the Bills?
  9. What coaches are hitting free agency haha? That is the most important piece of the puzzle.
  10. Agreed regarding the Cleveland game, that really killed us. Although even with that win, we would still essentially be in a must win situation since our season was going to come down to how we played our division. The good news, if there is any, is that notwithstanding any injuries next week, I think we have a good shot against the Pats, Dolphins and Jets. It is tough luck for the Bills in a sense, as critical of them as I am, the Jets, Pats, Dolphins and Bills are on a pretty level playing field. In all three games we had our chances. We were just outplayed in all 3 game.....or even more significantly, we were outcoached. So long as win against the niners and Dolphins, I could see the remaining 3 games all be nail biters. Though I must say, as much as I hate the Jets, they are playing much better football now than earlier in the season.
  11. Probably the fact that Reed was back= Hardy was not on the field.
  12. Typical Jauron comment. You know what else is needed in this league? A good coach and good Offensive and Defensive Lines!! But, oh yea, having 3 real good corner backs is top priority.
  13. JP Losman still.....sucks. Nothing has changed.
  14. I said this a second ago, but it is going to suck playing against Jarod Mayo for the foreseeable future.
  15. Wow, Mayo is a lot better than I expected.
  16. Man it is fun watching rookies contribute isn't it? (Mayo/ Keller)
  17. How quick has Hardy looked coming off the snap? He is a big guy, so I can't imagine he is breaking any ankles, but if he has mediocre to above average speed (which he was scouted as having around draft time) and learns to run a crisp route, there is no reason to think he won't be a good player. I guess my point is, it all boils down to route running and that deals with learning, being disciplined and recognizing coverage. It is not an easy thing to learn and that is why rookie WR's take awhile to adapt, but it by no means there is an issue related to the natural talent or potential of Hardy. Essentially, the only way Hardy progresses is by getting snaps, seeing the coverage and running the routes. But when you are a 5-1 team, you don't give the rookie WR any snaps. I understand he hasn't been spectacular thus far, but he hasn't had a chance to gain the in-game experience yet. By all accounts, he is a hard-worker, he has great hands, and so long as he can get off the line quick and get a little more physical he will be just fine.
  18. I could pick draft picks out of a hat and come up with a more likely situation. NO WAY the Bills draft someone in the secondary two years in a row. Not with the holes on both of our lines.
  19. With Schobel most likely out, does anyone think Ellis will get some reps? I can't imagine seeing Denney and Kelsay being able to put ANY pressure on Rivers.
  20. I say give them Royal for TG straight up. Deal.
  21. What did Shockey trade for? Btw, if Moss goes for a 4th rounder. TG shouldn't go for anything more than a 3rd.
