This is getting ridiculous. I was a JP supporter when he was starter and I am a Trent supporter now. JP has done nothing, but come into camp, work, and keep his mouth shut. He is a competitor, of course he is mad about not being a starter, but who wouldn't be. And some of the posts here absolute garbage. HIS BEARD!?!?!? Who cares about the guys facial hair, are you serious?. And IMMATURE. He's been a great teammate even though he's been d!cked around the front office since he's gotten here. I'm not saying he's a great player, but he has been a class act and done everything right. Maybe Jason Peters can learn something from JP.

I don't think there is anyway he has a new contract signed before the first game, or even a new one during this year. I think they might negotiate during the season, and give him a new deal starting at the beginning of next year. Also, there is NO WAY the give him a new deal before Lee Evans, a player who wants a new contract, hasn't been a distraction, has showed up to camp, and has worked hard. Those are the players the Bills will negotiate with
-
Because the differences between salaries will be much less
-
My mistake, I knew that but for some reason I typed it. My point was just that the top players salaries for each position goes up every year. If we lock Peters up now, we avoid having to match or come close to whatever absurd number it is for top LT's or lineman in the league in the future.
-
One thing no one has mentioned is the ridiculousness of NFL salaries and how they increase steadily with each top performer per position. Peters is due a raise for his recent play, and while he wants more money and he wants to be paid as one of the top lineman in the league, it might not be bad to re-negotiate now. If he comes back, plays for a season and leaves, we lose a Pro_Bowl left tackle and nothing is gained. While resigning him will be costly, if we lock him up now, the price in the future will be that much more.

I understand the Giants have a superior defensive line, and I agree that Schobel, Kelsay, Ellis, etc. are a downgrade from the Giants. What I do think though, is that there are enough good teams out there that play the Pats to employ the same strategy, and that there is a possibility Brady will get hurt
-
I'm just bored, and wondering what everyone thinks actually will happen this year with Jason Peters. I think the success of our team depends on him
-
cassel mainly, but o'connell too
-
This is a HUGE if, but New England does not have a decent backup, in fact he's pretty terrible. If more teams employ the Giants strategy against the Pats, it's possible that Brady might miss some time this year due to injury, most QB's do. If, and it's a BIG IF, this happens, I see them as a very beatable team. They looked dreadful against the Bucs. No Brady = very beatable team

It had better be fake -
Get that mute button ready for the Indy game

HHAHAHAHAHAHAH. That is so classic -
If Lee Evans signs I think Parker will advise his client to get to camp. he will see his commission and Peters will get his new deal. I hope....

pro footballtalk aslo reports no progress with Steven Jackson. F- that agent of Peters Profootballtalk.com disputes a St. Louis Post-Dispatch report that the Rams have had mild talks with Steven Jackson in recent days. PFT says Jackson's agent has refused to speak with the Rams since they told his client no negotiations would take place until Jackson reports. The Post-Dispatch says the club's latest offer was worth roughly $50 million, with only a third (or about $16.7 million) guaranteed. That won't get it done.

not yet, but the day is young
-
I figured I'd get responses like that. I'm just bored. Sorry for pointless post

There remains no movement in contract talks between the Bills and holdout LT Jason Peters, according to ESPN's John Clayton. Buffalo needs Peters back desperately, as several backups have gone down to injury. RG Brad Butler is now having to work at tackle. Perhaps the sides will begin talking when the Bills leave their camp facility in the coming days.

I know, but you can't like that they have to go into the same surgically repaired knee, Rice has looked great, and they seem to be losing the love for him, if they had any to begin with
-
we got rid of him just in time. per rotoworld Willis McGahee is scheduled to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee as soon as Monday. The knee has been bothering him throughout camp. Recovery generally takes 2-4 weeks, which would put Week 1 of the regular season in doubt. Ray Rice was already a must handcuff for McGahee owners, and this news makes it even more imperative. Given McGahee's history, this "clean-up" procedure is enough to knock him down a few pegs on the draft board.

thanks for the positive input Max. I'm not an idiot. Just posing an innocent questiob. Of course we'll see how he does when he actually plays in a game. Looking forward to more intellectual insight
-
wow, i knew that he didn't talk to him, but that he fathered him when the mother was 13!!!!!! That's just disgusting
-
He is working with the second team already. This, coming from a guy who was drafted in the 7th round and had to work to make the roster. Has anyone seen him at camp? How does he look?

will Favre on Jets help the Bills
BeastMode54 replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
that's why I included we have to beat them as well -
I do think the Jets will be a better team with Favre behind center, but could his signing help us by beating teams that are in contention with us. The Jets play Denver, Tennessee, and New England. If they can sneak out a previously unheard of win against one of these opponents, it might actually give us a better chance (that is if we beat them as well)
