Maybe it will be a wakeup call for him. But isn't a bulging disc painful and doesn't it hinder your play? If he has that injury, why is he practicing?
-
does this failed deal affect future dealing with Indy?
-
Aaron Schobel is not practicing and has an immobilizer boot on his left foot. It’s the first time he’s been seen with the boot on. We’ll have an update after practice. Terrence McGee is practicing on a very limited basis as it looks like he’s testing his knee more than anything else. Everyone else is practicing. I hope he plays, but if he doesn't we'll finally see Chris Ellis as many have asked for

Fox Sports' Jay Glazier reports Tony Gonzalez is "disappointed" and "pissed" that he wasn't traded to a contender. Gonzalez knows he's near the end of his career, and the Chiefs won't be competitive for at least a couple of seasons. Once again, Chiefs GM King Carl Peterson held out for a ransom when a reasonable offer of a third-rounder for a 32-year-old tight end was on the table. The future Hall of Famer's talents will continue to be wasted in Kansas City's ongoing rebuilding project. Apparently they were holding steady on wanting a second and a fifth round pick. Would any of you posters here given them that? I think I might have

If a 3rd was what it would have taken to get it done, then we should have pulled the trigger. The only thing that makes sense to me is what you are all posting as well, is that he didn't want to come to Buffalo and the GM respected his wishes. If they wanted a 3rd and we were offering one, then they are just stupid. If we didn't offer one at all, then our FO has a lot of 'splainin' to do
-
If what I'm reading on the internet is true, we didn't get TG because we wouldn't give up a 3rd round pick!!!! That just makes me fuming mad
-
I didn't think of this before, but would KC be hesitant to trade TG to us considering we play them this year?

from ESPN: Trades that would make sense Kansas City TE Tony Gonzalez to Buffalo for a third-round pick Tony Gonzalez Gonzalez Tight End Kansas City Chiefs Profile 2008 Season Stats Rec Yds TD Avg Long YAC 21 193 2 9.2 23 35 Why it works for Kansas City: Getting something in the neighborhood of what the Giants received for Jeremy Shockey (a No. 2 and No. 5) is probably too steep for Gonzalez, who is still among the league's best tight ends, but won't be useful when Kansas City gets back to respectability. A third-round pick, however, makes a lot of sense. Brad Cottam was drafted to eventually take over for Gonzalez, so speed up the learning curve. It is time to develop players like Cottam over the next year or so and let a bunch of young players grow up together. While it hurts to lose a player of his caliber and, just as importantly, a player of his character who is a leader in the locker room, this is best for the Chiefs. Why it works for Buffalo: Plenty of teams (Giants, Vikings, Cardinals) come to mind when thinking about where Gonzalez would fit in, and that could drive up his price tag. However, Buffalo is a very young football team and still only has one legitimate receiving option in Lee Evans. Having Gonzalez near the goal line and in the middle of the field would be a tremendous asset. It would also move Robert Royal down to the second-string tight end, which is where he belongs.

There are also rumors that Gonzo will get traded to the Giants for a 5th rounder and Sinorice Moss. Moss was a healthy inactive yesterday so it has me wondering a little bit.
-
I got worried at first because they said the tight end sweepstakes continue and a NY team has pulled in front, just not the one you were thinking. Being that it is NYC radio I thought they were going to say the Jets, but they said the Bills were the front runners according to one of the NFL reporters (I forget his name, sorry). Can't wait until tomorrow. I think he WILL be traded, just a matter of where. He requested a trade and I think the Chiefs will honor his request after what he has done for them
-
Just heard on ESPN radio in NYC that the Giants won't be getting into a bidding war for TG, and that the Buffalo Bills are now the front-runners to get him. Take it for what it's worth, but it's definitely not bad news
-
Strange note on Gonzo The Chiefs announced Monday that they will honor Tony Gonzalez prior to their Week 7 game against the Titans after he broke Shannon Sharpe's record for the most receiving yards ever by a tight end. That's pretty weird, considering Gonzalez could easily be traded on Tuesday. Gonzo broke Sharpe's record in Week 5. KC is currently coming off a bye.

Do any of you think that the team wouldn't make a trade because they would worry about TG coming into a new situation and learning the plays, etc.? We have a young team and maybe throwing someone on the team in the middle of the season would could some problems. I'm not sure if it would, just a thought though. THat being said, I want Brandon to get er done!
-
I would be ecstatic if they pulled this off, but Gonzalez said he wanted to go to a proven contender. Now, I think we have a serious shot at winning the AFC East, but that being said, maybe he would want to go to a more established team like the Eagles or Giants. I know I might catch some heat for saying it, but I think it's true. If he does come to Buffalo though, I might piss myself

Tuck Rule Strikes Again!

his arm definitely wasn't going forward. he was going to throw, then pussied out, and fumbled -
this is per rotoworld The Giants have reportedly offered a sixth-round pick to the Chiefs in exchange for Tony Gonzalez. Kansas City is holding out for a third-rounder. Green Bay and Buffalo are the other two teams in the mix to acquire Gonzo. The Chiefs' reasoning for shopping Gonzalez is reportedly because of their faith in rookie Brad Cottam. Cottam was injury prone at Tennessee, where he caught 21 passes in four years. I would do this in a second
-
A first is way to much to give up. There's no way he gets traded for one, but that's most likely the starting point for negotiations. Shockey was traded for a second and a fifth. I'm not sure if the Chiefs will trade him if they don't get a first, however. They are probably seeing if they can get a good deal for him, but only at their price. If we could get him for a second and a fifth though, I might do it

Profootballtalk.com has learned that an "effort is afoot" in Kansas City to trade Tony Gonzalez. Gonzo is 32 and probably couldn't net the Chiefs more than a third-round pick, but he deserves a chance to play for a winner and Kansas City has devoted its season to rebuilding (a.k.a. losing). They aren't even playing their best players. The Giants are the most likely team to make a run at Gonzo. If its true that a 3rd would be what it took to get him, i would do it in a second

The unfortunate part is that I just traded for him this week. I read that earlier today. I just renamed my team Swollen Testes. Winslow must have been getting busy with some real sketchy broads
-
Thanks, that explains it

There are notes on BB.com that Bills certain Bills players aren't practicing. Then I thought, don't players get a few days off on the BYE week? Just wondering. Is it up to each team?
