  1. WR is tough to evaluate given productivity depends on targets... and of course targets depend on play design and does the guy get open or not... since we can't really see the route on TV, I have no idea is Zay gets open. But, he has only been targeted 17 times this season. That's really low. And, obviously our QBs have both had accuracy issues. It'd be far easier to judge Zay if we had a decent offensive coordinator (I'm not a Daboll fan) and a solid NFL QB. Until that happens I'm going with "need more data" on Zay.
  2. I never liked the Daboll hiring (4 prior seasons of NFL experience with 3 different teams) and still don't. Even if they're stacking up against the run and daring us to throw, we still have to try to run on first and/or second down when our QB is very clearly having a rough day (Allen's early passes all sailed high - he just wasn't "on" early in the game). The other thing that infuriates me is the number of read options and QB draws that Daboll calls. This isn't the University of Alabama. In the NFL that sort of stuff gets your QB killed. One other play call bothered the crap out of me... we had a 4th and 1 in the first half and Daboll ran a play that called for uber-slow Vlad Ducasse to pull around to the right side. Ducasse can barely move and that play ended up a completely disaster.
  3. They're slow, not good route runners and don't have good hands... other than that, I'd say we're in good shape. ?
  4. I was in high school back in '88 and I listened to a lot of rap at the time... so I like it. ?
  5. Foster reminds me of Featherstone from Necessary Roughness
  6. If you go to Bills.com you can find a video of every throw Allen made in the game (both complete and incomplete). BTW - about half of his incompletions were drops. It's not hard to see Allen's obvious talent. He has that "it" factor (as does Baker Mayfield) that I haven't seen in Buffalo since the '90s. He'll have his ups and downs like all young QBs, but if he stays healthy, it's hard not to get excited about the fact that we many finally have found our first "franchise quarterback" since Jim Kelly.
  7. Props to Ryan Lewis who is playing, and starting in, his first NFL game at CB opposite of T. White. Thus far, the kid seems okay! (and F Vontae Davis)
  8. To get crushed in the first two weeks then come out like this today, that speaks to locker room leadership. This team has heart. (and, FU Vontae Davis ?)
  9. I'm thinking the first half was so good, we shouldn't jinx it by opening the 2nd half thread. ?
  10. We plugged Ryan Lewis in a CB - his first NFL game - and so far he's done just fine. So.... FU Vontae Davis!
  11. Assuming we don't fold like a cheap tent (which is still a distinct possibility for this team), I have a feeling this game is going to impact a lot of survivor leagues!
  12. We got our QB and MLB this year... next year we get some receivers...
  13. My college team (Virginia Tech) inexplicably lost to a winless Old Dominion yesterday. Then, the Bills pull this today as a massive underdog on the road. ...this is why we love sports!!!
  14. ...it's almost like there was a reason we traded up to the 7th overall pick to take Allen. ?
  15. What the hell is going on here? ...I think I just soiled myself! Go Bills!!
  16. To celebrate their first win in over 600 days, I certainly hope Browns fans drink something better than Bud Light. ...break open the good stuff, fellas!
