Meyer turned down the ND job because the Florida job is MUCH BETTER. What does ND have to offer Meyer that he doesn't have in Fla? The joy of living in Indiana instead of Fla?

I have no proof it is true that Peters would not play in Buffalo. You have no proof that he would. A contract was not agreed upon & training camp was around the corner. Peters HELD OUT the year before, then reported out of shape & played poorly so he was traded rather than have him hold out again.

I implied MAYBE Brandon KNEW he could not resign Peters. I don't know if it is a fact or not & neither do you. Wood will go back to Center at some point hopefully. You do not know if Wood will miss many more games than Peters or not. There is no way to know if Wood is finished or not, & guess what Peters could get injured next week & also be finished. There is no way to know about that any more than there is to know if the Bills could have resigned Peters or not. As far as Peters being injured all last year, the 49ers OVERPAID for an often injured former Bills LT. How did that work out for them?

Marv Levy on the Shredd & Ragan Show was asked about Peters & said that Peters was having a bad effect on the locker room & that if he were coach he wouldn't want Peters on his team.

I told all you Favre haters he still had it last summer. With the Bucs & Bills playing like CRAP, I at least have Florida ( they will beat up on the girls school from Fla this weekend) & the Vikings to cheer for.

If only the Chargers were playing well, & had something to play for, the game might be interesting enough to attract a few more fans.

Yes, there was a reason. Stewart was going off saying he wanted to play QB & promising to act like an ass if not given the chance to play QB. Cowher got another year out of him in the slash role by promising he would get a chance at QB the next year.

Or Brandon KNEW there was NO WAY he would be able to resign Peters, so he put his effort into swaying public opinion in the Bills favor. He was VERY successful in that regard, so he does have SOME talent.

There are MANY Guys in all sports that TRY until they get that big fat pay day. It will be interesting to see how Peters career plays out.

There is no point to any league without fans. The Bills have one of the most rabid fan bases in the entire NFL. If the Bills leave Buffalo the entire NFL will suffer for it. Look at Basketball, the TV ratings for the NBA are abysmal & get worse every year. I heard the other day that the players are going to have to accept that salaries are going to be going down because the revenue intake is dropping. That's what they get for taking the Braves out of Buffalo.

Ralph & Marty both hate AJ.............looks like a good fit.

Yeah, my bad. Still my point was that Minneapolis to Northern Minnesota is the same as Long Island is to Buffalo. People from Long Island have a totally different accent than the people in Western NY. Minneapolis has more in common with Buffalo than it does with Northern Minnesota. I guess I am guilty of assuming everyone knew that, my apologies for that Fezmid.

I think most if not all GOOD Coaches LOVE a challenge. As long as they think that they will have the freedom, time & resources to fix the problems then yes, I think a winning big name coach will want to come here..............as long as he is paid.

The Football savvy folks around here will tell you that 99% of the the problems Dick faced he created himself.
