  1. great points, but like I posted elsewhere.. we're the Pegulas aware of how Rex was going to transform the D, and what he needed to do it? he obviously got the ok to create Jets North with the staff.. but if his ability to make the transformation quickly was tied to signing ex-players - was this expressed? did the Pegulas miss that rather significant piece of info? or did they leave it as something to be worked out with the GM? why do I get the impression that Rex never got into the nuts and bolts of what he had planned during their meetings?
  2. the kid makes some plays, and leaves some out there.. but did anyone think our QB was gonna carry the team this season? we needed an O that could score some points, and that would get us 3 more wins than last year's team got.. nope.. our Taylor led O held up their end - even with the injuries at the skill positions
  3. are we filming a beach movie? will Capn' Geech and the Shrimp Shack Shooters be playing?
  4. ordinarily, i'd agree.. but Rex took something that was working good.. and made it worse, not better. so, i don't think it's unfair to question whether it will get even worse... or whether it's worth the wait for Rex to get us back to 'good'.. maybe if Rex explained what he was trying to accomplish, and where things broke down, we'd be able to regain our confidence in him. but we won't hear that. i don't even know if Pegula will hear that.. or if he wants to know.
  5. he was paid that money because he's a playmaker.. he must still see himself as a playmaker, because he's pretty disgusted with how he's being used what's so 'hilarious', is that you and he actually want the same thing
  6. i hear where all the Mario critics are coming from - but how do we know what his responsibilities are during those plays where he seems content to engage and read the backfield? i think he's confused and humiliated - and i don't think he's alone. analysis by paralysis
  7. Rex's coaching has proven to be not only ineffective, but detrimental. same story as in NY.. just escalating faster
  8. "My mindset is, if you're an attack defense, if you're going to be a bully on the field. You don't let anything else dictate what you do." ~ Mario Williams Mario's right. entire offensive and defensive systems have been designed by realistic coaches, trying to overcome large talent gaps with their opponents (see service academies athletics).. .. but happily, this was not the Bills problem this year. the front office stocked the roster with diverse and talented players.. enough to field above average O, D, and ST units. what excited many of us, was that for the first time in a long time... we were the 'haves' - not the 'have nots' - and other teams would have to adjust to us. if Rex told the Pegulas that his plan on improving our D depended on how quickly this group of above average physical talents learned how to properly react to an opponent - rather than dictate the terms of engagement - they either weren't listening, or they simply didn't understand. maybe the more important question is... why did Rex think this was necessary?
  9. yep.. and the worst thing is, they still can't play it effectively
  10. unfortunately, unlike the revolution, the last 2 games will be televised
  11. there usually is.. don't know why Tyrod makes some choices
  12. 4 men in patterns versus 7 men in coverage edit - like we used to do
  13. Gilmore's fails are very noticeable, but his ability to man up and make the QB go elsewhere isn't as obvious.. McKelvin is struggling badly
  14. blitzing creates holes in secondary - so do DBs who can't play zone
