Gaither not on practice field this morning....
Steely Dan replied to Bronc24's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
More likely Youboty and fourth or fifth rounder for Gaither. JMO. If it was Youboty for Gaither you're right Nix should be HOF'ed instantly. -
Fixed! If a Gaither trade is made, Leodis McKelvin won't be a part of it; Leodis McKelvin-DB- Bills May. 8 - 4:48 pm et Bills RCB Leodis McKelvin is reportedly unavailable for a potential Jared Gaither trade. Rumors of a Gaither-to-Buffalo trade persist. Adam Schefter shot down a report of a second-rounder going to Baltimore, and we've also seen one scenario that has Ashton Youboty going to the Ravens. McKelvin, however, is staying put. Source: Aaron Wilson on Twitter Related: Ravens Youboty would be ok but I don't want to see McGee or McKelvin leave.

Here's the latest; http://www.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/05/07/lawren...x.html?hpt=Sbin (CNN) -- The man accused of bringing an under-age prostitute to ex-NFL player Lawrence Taylor told her to lie about her age, prosecutors alleged in a federal complaint against the man on Friday. The complaint says the alleged pimp, Rasheed Davis, told a 16-year-old prostitute to tell a "Client-1" that she was 19. The federal complaint against Davis does not refer to the former New York Giants linebacker by name, but the description of "Client-1" matches that of Taylor in the complaint against him. The rape charges filed against Taylor on Thursday are based on the allegation that he had sexual intercourse with a minor -- someone younger than 17. The complaint against Davis also alleges that he assaulted the prostitute to coerce her into having sex with the client who matches Taylor's description. In addition to the third-degree rape charges, Taylor -- a 51-year-old member of the National Football League Hall of Fame -- was charged Thursday with patronizing a prostitute, police in Ramapo, New York, said.

I believe that Polian's mantra for drafting is to take self motivated players and not schlubs. I think this alone is why the Bills took Troup over manboobs. Even if you believe manboobs is better coming out of college I'm positive that Troup will have a much better career. I know Levy said that smart players get better and it seems that Nix is looking, mostly, for smart, mature and self motivated players.

I'd like to know what a "slew" of int's is. I can't find any reporting on how many he threw.

Link Making ends meet was sometimes difficult despite his mother’s best efforts as she held down more than one job to earn enough during most of Torell’s childhood. Seeing his mom working from morning to night to provide the bare essentials, Troup quickly recognized the toll it was taking on her. “I grew up pretty fast and I knew what she was going through at a young age,” said Troup who by the age of 12 he had a firm grasp of what his mother was up against every day. “My mom had a lot on her shoulders and I did what I could do to take a little pressure off of her just to make her life a little bit easier. She had been doing everything for us so I wanted to do a little something for her.” Torell did what he could to pitch in on the home front. He cooked meals for his brothers every night, helped them with their homework and did the laundry. “I’d go grocery shopping, help her pay the bills if she couldn’t get to it, like pay the rent,” said Troup. “Just the normal things.” Normal, perhaps, for the average American parent, but for a 12-year old boy it was an awful lot of responsibility. Those efforts did not go unnoticed or unappreciated by his mother. Lashana Johnson to this day expresses her gratitude for her son’s efforts during those years, even though their family unit is whole again with Torell’s father back in the picture for some time now. Looks like he'll want to succeed if only to make her proud.

I hope he is miffed about his treatment. It should give him the chip on his shoulder it appears he needs.

Jared Gaither-T- Ravens May. 8 - 11:58 am et Updating a previous item, Ravens RT Jared Gaither was reportedly undergoing treatment at the team's facility Saturday morning. This report is less than convincing. According to the two major beat reporters that cover the team, Gaither did not get injured yesterday. He's had a tumultuous offseason, and his absence is more likely a sign that he's miffed about the way he's been treated by the Ravens. Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter

Beerball brought up the point...
Steely Dan replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I guess I wasn't clear. When I reread what I wrote it didn't come across right. I meant that since this is for rookies I would think they are going to get the vast majority of playing time. JMO -
Steak sauce is to steak as large breasts are to women. You don't have to have them but it makes the experience a lot more enjoyable. JMO

I would Link Woman becomes first person banned from EVERY pub and club in the country A woman has become the first person to be banned from buying or drinking alcohol anywhere in England and Wales. Laura Hall, 20, was issued with a Drinking Banning Order - nicknamed Booze Asbos - which bars her from entering any pub, club, off-licence or bar. The two-year order also bans Hall from buying alcohol at any other establishment or shop, carrying it in an unsealed container or drinking it in a public place. I picked other because one choice wasn't enough. I love steak, especially with Heinz 57. (I wish restaurants carried it) I do agree that cows are earthlings too and so about 24 hours after I've eaten part of one I return it to the earth.

There can be many views to one situation. When Smith explains what happened it may make complete sense that both Florio and him are right, but just viewing the situation differently. -

I don't know whether to or . If Janet Reno were that young today she'd be playing in the WNBA. -
Who did you have rated higher than Spiller that was available to Buffalo? Also, if the Bills landed Gaither before the draft for a (estimated) second round pick in 2011, and then had the draft they had, people would be screaming about what a genius Buddy Nix is. JMO

I think Select Comfort is more likely. "Hi, I'm Duke Preston, former NFL offensive lineman. For years I was hitting the turf on my back as defenders ran over me. I don't know what I would do without my select comfort. My wife sets hers at 78 and I set mine to mimic NFL turf, my favorite. Select Comfort the best nights sleep you'll ever get."
