  1. I don't have a link for this, just a reference. In the April 26th issue of TSN three 2009 rookies are asked how to avoid becoming a draft bust. The three are: Brian Orapko, Hakeem Nicks and Brian Cushing. This is the beginning of Cushing's advice; "Don't change the things that have always worked for you. Follow your routine. Train the way you've done successfully; eat the right way..."
  2. Where did I say anything about his party affiliation? It's just sad that these guys hate themselves so much and are so afraid of people figuring out they're gay that they have to be vehemently anti-gay. The fact that this guy went on a trip with a boy toy to give him daily massages is proof, IMO, that homosexuality is not a choice. If anyone in the world didn't want to be gay it's this guy. JMO
  3. Anyway, you get my drift, both real and facetiously. Where could all this end? Do we some day yank people out of the Hall of Fame because they violated the law or some code we do not like? That is a slippery slope, and for an example just look at the Ben Roethlisbeger case. He violated no law, at least none anyone knows about or is willing to prosecute. Yet he has been tried and found guilty in the court of public opinion and by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. Taking people out of the Hall would be simple, right? Look at OJ and Lawrence Taylor. But what about others who may have been scoundrels, such as Ty Cobb? Hey, here's an idea. Why not re-vote on the award if someone is caught doing something that gives them an unfair advantage. Yes, Belichick should have his coach of the year award rescinded as well. JMO

  5. Link (BTW, his 120k testimony was paid for by the state of Florida. Any anti-pork (no pun intended) people wish to comment?) Anti-gay rights activist resigns after trip with male escort By the CNN Wire Staff May 12, 2010 9:35 p.m. EDT Rekers has written that gays are a "deviant segment of society." Revelations of Rekers' trip to Europe with a male escort surfaced last week, shortly after he returned to the U.S. The male escort who traveled with Rekers -- who goes by the name Lucien, though that is not his given name -- said that he advertises his service exclusively on the website rentboy.com, where visitors can choose from hundreds of male escorts in suggestive and revealing poses. Lucien says Rekers first contacted him through the site. He was hired to give Rekers daily "sexual massages" on the trip, which took them to London and Madrid, Lucien says. "He got excited," Lucien said of the massages, adding that Rekers wanted Lucien to touch him, though Lucien said that he didn't have sex with Rekers and that Rekers didn't ask to have sex. According to a contract Lucien showed CNN, he was hired to carry Rekers' bags and to provide at least one hour's worth of massage every day in their shared room, at a cost of $75 a day. The contract also stipulated that Lucien spend at least eight hours a day with Rekers, including sharing two meals. http://www.cnn.com/video/?/video/us/2010/0...ssing.clean.cnn Why don't these guys just accept who they are instead of harming themselves and trying to control other peoples lives with their denials and needs to show the world how NOT GAY they are. In the future he shouldn't hire a male escort, he should go with Larry Craig. Queen: The lady doth protest too much, methinks. Hamlet Act 3, scene 2, 222–230
  6. You tell us? Dude if she's a great grandmother stop complaining. She could be just good or even bad.
  7. I hope the movies is better than this; Evidently they are under the impression there were 5 Beatles. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68edB_Q1e4g
  8. Ummm, I'm pretty sure he won't be back, not by his choice. You should have read the posts he wrote that got deleted!!
  9. I'm not accusing you of being biased but you have to admit these AP writers really effed up this vote.
  10. My fear of fighting her is mainly based on the fact that I'm a coward. I have a very common last name and that proves we are cowards. Just compare names like Custer and Crockett to the most numerous last names and you'll see what I mean. Back on topic; (These are the good guys) CHANGED FROM BRIAN CUSHING (19) Jarrett Bell, USA Today (Jairus Byrd) Clifton Brown, The Sporting News (Jairus Byrd) Rich Cimini, New York Daily News (Clay Matthews) John Clayton, ESPN The Magazine (Clay Matthews) Bob Costas, HBO/NBC Sports (Clay Matthews) John Czarnecki, Fox Sports (Brian Orakpo(notes)) Boomer Esiason, CBS/Westwood One (Jairus Byrd) Mark Gaughan, Buffalo News (Jairus Byrd) Nancy Gay, AOL Fanhouse (Jairus Byrd) Bob Glauber, Newsday (Jairus Byrd) Dave Goldberg, AOL Fanhouse (Clay Matthews) Ira Kaufman, Tampa Tribune (Jairus Byrd) Peter King, Sports Illustrated (Clay Matthews) Matt Maiocco, Santa Rosa Press Democrat (Clay Matthews) Alex Marvez, Foxsports.com (Jairus Byrd) Pat McManamon, Akron Beacon Journal (Jairus Byrd) Dan Pompei, Chicago Tribune (Clay Matthews) Adam Schein, Sirius NFL Radio (Brian Orakpo) Frank Schwab, Colorado Springs Gazette (Clay Matthews)
  11. I'd be ascared to fight her.
  12. Go back and reread all of my posts. Try to find a place where I said I thought Cushing should get the award again. Hint: You won't find it. Uh-oh Booster he's got your number! You've just been burned by...ummm...wait you haven't been burned at all. Never mind.
  13. Read it, think about it, read it again, think about it (repeat). Do not lather yourself.
  14. Cushing is a ballerina? Read this again; I believe you are the one who couldn't get it through their cavernous noggin that the AP writers don't vote on it and yet kept writing multiple posts from that ignorant standpoint. That's why JW was within his rights to start treating you like a third grader. Marijuana has never enhanced anyone's performance.
  15. Do you get that guys? Nope. Still hasn't sunk in. What he said. The AP decided that they didn't think he won the award justly so they re-opened the vote. The AP is actually taking a stand by re-opening the vote. They are the good guys. The guys who voted for him are the bad guys. There were actually 18.
  16. Even this guy can understand that AP writers don't vote for the players. It seems at this point it still hasn't sunk in. Big surprise. Main Entry: den·si·ty Pronunciation: \ˈden(t)-sə-tē\ Function: noun Inflected Form(s): plural den·si·ties Date: 1598 1 : the quality or state of being dense 2 : the quantity per unit volume, unit area, or unit length: as a : the mass of a substance per unit volume b : the distribution of a quantity (as mass, electricity, or energy) per unit usually of space (as length, area, or volume) c : the average number of individuals or units per space unit <a population density of 500 per square mile> <a housing density of 10 houses per acre> 3 a : the degree of opacity of a translucent medium b : the common logarithm of the opacity AP writers don't vote on the award they only submit the ballots and then tabulate the results!!! Wow, you have cajones if you think you're qualified to put anyone down.
  17. Ok, I know some of you are slow so I've quoted the appropriate posts to show how dense you are. PLEASE READ ALL OF THE POSTS! ESPECIALLY THE BOLDED PARTS!! IF YOU STILL DON'T GET IT GO BACK AND REREAD THEM AGAIN AND AGAIN UNTIL IT SINKS IN. AP writers didn't vote they only tabulated the votes!! The AP only tabulated the votes from other writers!!! The AP only gives out the ballots and then they tabulate the votes. 'Nuff said.
  18. Best point in any thread I've seen in a long while. Wrongo Betty Lou. Link The penalties for a positive result are, first positive, 10 days; second, 30 days; third, 60 days; fourth, one year Notice those are days and not games. The first offense in Baseball is 10 days. In football it's four games. So in baseball, we'll be generous, you miss 8 games out of 182 or 4% of a season. In football they miss four games or 25% of the season. Football also had a steroid policy long before baseball so I think you have your thoughts reversed. JMO
  19. I agree with those who say great or horrendous. BTW, I took the "Which Beatle Are You" quiz and I am most like John Lennon.
  20. Hmmm, beats me why he'd try that defense. Davis -- who was released from prison in 2008 after serving 15 years for manslaughter -- is now charged with federal child sex-trafficking, and could be sent back behind bars for life if convicted. 21. I found a picture of the coach Mike Knowles; Linky
  22. I was wondering the same thing. If nothing is reported in the next couple of days I'd say that that wasn't the motive.
