  1. He had two receptions for 35 yards. Making him the second leading receiver on the team yesterday. The TD pass to him was a thing of beauty and yet the smarter people here refuse to acknowledge it. It's one game and if they beat the Packers next week that will be one game too. The board should start selling panty debunchers here. Yep, they did. The Dolphins, evidently, came into the game with the notion that they would only half heartedly try to score points. BBM Yeah, take out a great play and ignore it in order to make your point. It was a fourth down play that the Dolphins knew had to be a pass and they failed to stop it. It was a great play, why deny that? They were bad, they weren't pathetic.
  2. Wow!! Is Alex Barron gonna have to walk home to Dallas tonight?! Orapko may have gotten to Romo without the hold but talk about a team going from a high to a low in seconds!!
  3. You do know that the word TEAM and the word OFFENSE mean two different things, right?
  4. I forgot to mention Hall's flip into the endzone. I think it was Andrea Kremer (?) who said that Wade Phillips was not happy with that call at all.
  5. For those of you who didn't see it, there was 4 seconds left in the half and Dallas is on their own 37 yard line. Rather than have Romo take a knee they have him throw to Tashard Choice who gets one yard before fumbling. Deanglo Hall picks up the fumble and runs in, easily, for a TD. This reminded me of the play call that lost the Jests game a couple of years ago with JP Losman. IMO, a dumb, dumb play.
  6. They held the Poorpisses to 132 yards rushing, total. If the Dolphins knew they didn't have to score a lot then they would have ground it out but they couldn't. The Bills held the Poorpisses to an average of 3.7 yards per rush. I'll bet dollars to donuts that less than 5 of the Poorpisses opponents hold their RB corp to under 4.0 yards per rush and 133 yards rushing in a game. Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams are one of the best RB corps in the NFL. JMO BBM I was absolutely mystified by that myself. It's these kinds of mistakes that I think they will be able to get under control and will greatly help things.
  7. I'll make it easy for you to understand. The team didn't look great today but they didn't look pathetic. I expect they will get a lot better as the year progresses. So to answer the question; They are struggling now but will be a lot better as the year progresses. This is not a doom and gloom game.
  8. So the doom and gloomers come out in full force due to a five point loss. Evidently to some people there was nothing positive about this game to go on. Despite this being a loss there is a lot the Buffalo Bills can take away from this game. They were in this game up until the last minute. The running game couldn't get going but TE had a few nice passes during the game. Leodis McKelvin is a player. Roscoe Parrish is a weapon teams can no longer ignore. The Bills seemed to be in better condition in the fourth quarter than the Dolphins. On defense Poz and Bryan Scott recorded sacks and the D didn't allow a single 100 yard rusher. Although it doesn't show up on the stat sheet Aaron Maybin had a decent game. It's my belief that this team will improve over the season. There might be a setback or two but they will be playing a lot better in sixteen weeks than they did today. On the bad side it seemed TE went back to checking down too much. The running game didn't amass over 50 yards total. The Dolphins didn't seem too concerned with TE beating them and stacked the line. TE was unable to make them pay for that enough. The O-line didn't help him much today either. Hopefully they will improve quickly. The defense needs a lot of practice. They are the unit that I think will most improve over the season. I will say they weren't as bad as I expected them to be today. If a defense can hold an opponent under 17 points then the team should be able to win, IMO.
  9. Trent could throw for one yard and if the Bills win I don't care.
  10. Was I supposed to see something about Chad Henne at that link?
  11. 25% off on another cruise!!!!! Yeah! I'm sure as soon as those people got home they immediately called to book another trip! Hey boneheads, refund 25% of what I paid right now. How about that?!
  12. Wow! A cogent post from Deerball. Here's my guess as to what will happen early in the game tomorrow; The Bills win the toss and elect to receive. David Nelson gets it to the 27 yard line. The starting Offense comes out. TE fakes a handoff to CJ and throws to LE who's separated from his man and is flying down the field!! The ball lands in his hands as he runs full stride into the endzone. Ya heard it here first. Then the D makes the Dollfans run, run, pass but Terrance McGee jumps the route and strides into the endzone for an easy TD. Ya heard it here first.
  13. Good questions. I agree with the scripted comment from Steve Irwin and maybe kids that age can fall for that kind of thing but the guy seems to think he's in a Hollywood football movie. I hope they lost.
  14. I haven't seen anything from Chad Henne that makes me understand any of the hype being given to him. Maybe he'll be a great QB but I have yet to see any evidence supporting that notion.
  15. Early in camp it looked like the D had the upper hand on the O. However, that seemed to change and the O seems to be the better unit now. Gailey has a history of working magic with offenses and the D is going to the 3-4 and will experience growing pains, IMO. TE looks the best he's looked in his career, CJ appears to be the real deal as well as FJ and ML. The zone blocking scheme seems to fit the O line a lot better than last years scheme and Gailey seems to know how to utilize RP. Something no other OC has been able to do since he was drafted. I'm afraid the D will give up over 25 points in the first few games before they settle into a better understanding of the scheme and develop a rhythm with each other. Hopefully Gailey and the guys will be able to score more points than the other teams. JMO What are your thoughts?
  16. I'm not quite sure I understand your point here. Are you saying that you're not a bad person for wishing severe harm to people you've never met and don't know, simply because they wear a different uniform?
  17. Very immature post, IMO. *No they aren't. They want to hit hard and inflict pain that makes the other player wary of being in their zone. The vast majority want to make big hits but not injure somebody. I point to opposing team members having prayer groups for the injured player on the other team. Dominic Hixon felt horrible about the hit that paralyzed Kevin Everett. Why you think that being a man entails lack of compassion and a depraved sense of morals is beyond me. **You watch different games than I do. What I've seen during an interception is guys blocking for the returner. A cheap shot on a QB would nullify the TD and the player would catch hell from the coach. ***Cornerbacks are not taught to knock guys out. They are encouraged to give hard hits that will take a receiver off his game mentally. ****When Brady or any other QB gets hit hard and is slow to get up I like to see that. I don't like to see them permanently injured. When Donte sent Ochodinko to the hospital after a brutal legal hit I was happy he made the big hit but not happy to see Ochodinko hurt. Anybody who cheered the Mike Utley or Kevin Everett injuries need to seek intensive psychotherapy, JMO In one of the preseason games at the Ralph an opposing player was injured and the crowd cheered when he got up and obviously wasn't paralyzed. That's the fan base I'm proud of. IIRC, Michael Irvin was injured in a game in Philly and the fans cheered his injury. That's not a fan base I'd be proud of. Guys like Harrison, Andre "Dirty" Waters, Wilfork and others who deliberately deliver cheap shots deserve to receive cheap shots themselves. A good team is like a band of brothers. If somebody takes a cheap shot at my brother I'm gonna get pissed and attempt some revenge. Those morons seem to only understand physical revenge. If somebody takes out their knees and ends their season it gives them ample time to reflect on their playing style. JMO What he said. I normally try to ignore the trolls but this is such a sick topic I felt I had to respond to it.
  18. He's a seven year vet so I don't think he even hits the waiver wire. IIRC, he becomes an immediate FA, If the Bills can sign him he'll probably be a backup for the rest of the season with a chance to earn a starting job in the spring OTA's. A big question is are his injuries bad luck or the signs of a chronic condition? He's definitely worth a look. JMO
  19. I don't think he really wants you to get hurt. I think he's trying to show you that it wouldn't be cool for someone to enjoy seeing you hurt. He's trying to make you see if from a personal perspective.
  20. #1 It's a game that's less important than the human beings who play it. #2 Rooting for anyone to be injured is a bit sick, JMO. #3 I'd rather beat a team at full strength rather than give their whiny fans a reason to make excuses. #4 Taking the high road is always the better thing to do. #5 Legal hits that "jack up" a dude are awesome. Sometimes referred to snot bubblers. Vince Wilfork has to live with himself and I have to live with myself. I can't be happy with myself if I wish ill will on others.
  21. He is definitely worth a look, IMO. He would be good depth for now and if he can put the injury bug behind him they will have unearthed a diamond in the rough. It seems this is the kind of guy Chan and Buddy are looking for right now, JMO.
  22. There are some very promising rookies, but a lot of rookies look good in preseason and then look less than ordinary during the regular season. CJ Spiller, Ryan Matthews and Jahvid Best look like money but how will the HC split their carries? Also, when rookies hit the wall it seems to be right around FF playoff time. There are also a lot of big names who are suspended for part of the season, getting old or coming off injuries. Some examples: Clinton Portis (In 2008 he started all 16 games and rushed for 1,497 yards. In 2009 he was only in eight games and had a nagging injury all season long so he only rushed for 494 yards.) Can he come back to being close to his 2008 form? Does the fact that Mike Shanahan drafted him enter into anything? Ronnie Brown (IIRC, he was the number one FF player just before being injured.) How well can he come back from his injury? Can Percy Harvin get his migraines under control? Is Brett Favre gonna hit the wall this year? Will Mike Martz make the Chicago offense pump out a few good FF guys? Will Ben and Santonio come back to the Steelers and Jets and not skip a beat after four weeks off? Who do you guys think are the sleepers and busts for this year? My super sleeper for this year is Dexter McCluster. Charlie Weis took over the offense and he wasn't a good HC, but he's a good OC. McCluster has good receiving and running skills. I don't think Weis came up with the way to use Wes Welker but I'm sure he has studied film on it. Could McCluster be KC's Wes Welker?
