  1. Exactly. That's collusion and not allowed. If that happened both teams would be penalized. Crowell has no kids and that makes it a lot easier for him to pull up stakes and leave. If he had kids in school here he might be less likely to leave. I think we should all say goodbye to him, unfortunately. He has no beef with TB and it's a much better climate. I agree. If the Bills bring in all of those guys and then sign one out of desperation and he sucks then a lot of those guys are gonna B word about the stupidity of the signing.
  2. Haynesworth has been indicted on his March, 14th traffic infraction that's not going to sit well with RG. Some of those infractions go back to 2006 and I don't know how long ago Goodell takes past behavior into account but I'd think this will be at least a four game suspension and possibly a year. All of those who pleaded here for the Bills to sign him should be eating some crow about now. Many people here said that he was on the verge of another possible year suspension if he did anything again. If he does get the suspension then Snyder is effed on the signing bonus. Michael Vick got to keep his signing bonus even after his dog conviction. Very glad the Bills passed on this walking time-bomb.
  3. In NY State refusing to take the breathalyzer test is as bad as being drunk, the same laws apply as if you were drunk.
  4. Well, that will cost him a few years in the pokey if he was DUI. It is sick. I have a friend who's mother and sister were killed by a DUI driver. It's a tough crime to deal with.
  5. #1 Courtney Brown - Cleveland #2 LaVar Arrigngon - Washington #3 Chris Samuels - Washington #4 Peter Warrick - Ciccinnati #5 Jamal Lewis - Ravens #6 Corey Simon - Philadelphia #7 Thomas Jones - Arizona #8 Plaxico Burress - Pittsburgh #9 Brian Urlacher - Chicago Bears #10 Travis Taylor - Ravens #11 Ron Dayne - Giants #12 - Shawn Ellis - Jets #13 John Abraham - Jets #14 Bubba Franks - Green Bay #15 Deltha O'Neal - Denver #16 Julian Peterson - San Francisco #17 Sebastian Janikowski #18 Chad Pennington -Jets #19 Shaun Alexander - Seattle #20 Stockar McDougal - Lions #21 Sylvester Morris - Kansas City #22 Chris McIntosh - Seattle # 23 Rashard Anderson - Carolina #24 Ahmed Plummer - San Francisco #25 Chris Hovan - Minnesota #26 Erik Flowers - Buffalo Bills #27 Anthony Beck - Jets #28 Rob Morris - Indianapolis #29 R.J. Soward - Jacksonville #30 Keith Bulluck - Tennessee #31 Trung Canidate - St. Louis The Jets had four #1 picks in that draft. Oakland took a kicker in the first round. Washington had the second and third picks.
  6. Corey Moore was taken in the third round of one of the horrendous Bills drafts ever, IMO. 1. Erik Flowers 2. Travares Tillman 3. Corey Moore 4. Avion Black 5. Sammy Morris 6. Leif Larsen 7. Drew Haddad 7a. Dashon Polk P.U.
  7. No way, the markets too volatile these days. Thanks, I don't know if this really matters but nobody expected him to be left over by the Bills pick. It would seem to me that some years they bring in guys they have no intention of drafting and other years they don't. It keeps the other teams guessing.
  8. I agree that a father is needed for optimum care. The mothers here are conniving gold diggers. I'm not saying they shouldn't be compensated in order to care for the child but I have no sympathy for the mothers, just the kids. Really? Why was Jesus called the Prince of Peace?
  9. Sounds good and I'd do it. How about the Bills 1st and 3rd for the Eagles two firsts?
  10. Where do people come off saying he's lazy? To go from an undrafted TE to a Pro-Bowl LT takes a lot of work and commitment. A guy who makes the Pro-Bowl two years in a row after all that work isn't lazy. JMO
  11. Unless the restaurant already pays an ASCAP fee already they could be charged for singing the song. Large restaurants would take the other way around it. JMO
  12. I don't understand how the economy affects what he should sign for. From BN article. The top contract signed by a veteran left tackle went to Carolina’s Jordan Gross just three weeks ago. A week before he was about to become an unrestricted free agent, he signed a six-year contract worth about $60 million, with $30.5 million in the first three years of the deal. Gross, 28, is a six-year veteran who made his first Pro Bowl last season. Peters, 27, is a five-year veteran and a three-year starter. He made his second straight Pro Bowl in 2008. _____________________________________________________________ From Rotoworld Jordan Gross Tackle 2/19/2009: Signed a six-year, $60 million contract. The deal includes $30.5 million in the first three seasons. 2009: $5 million, 2010: $4.5 million, 2011: $6 million, 2012: $7.5 million, 2013: $9 million, 2014: $7.4 million, 2015: Free Agent Jake Long Tackle 4/22/2008: Signed a five-year, $57.75 million contract. The deal includes $30 million guaranteed. Year six voided based on rookie-year playing time (Long started all 16 games). 2009: $3.75 million, 2010: $4.5 million, 2011: $5.25 million, 2012: $6 million, 2013: $6.75 million (Voided Year), 2014: Free Agent I don't see where his demands are unreasonable. JMO
  13. It depends on his league suspension. JMO
  14. At least their game is the 9pm game tonight.
  15. You seem to think the big head is capable of actual thoughts. Foo! $170,000 a month works out to $18,000 per kid yearly. That seems like and awfully small amount for a kid who's father is a multi-millionaire. I think the judge should have put a lump sum into an interest bearing account and have it doled out monthly and it would be a lot more than $18,000 a year if I were the judge. Henry's got to have a lot of assets to sell off. If he has to live in a one room apartment and have only one car and use a public defender then oh well. I think the interest bearing accounts should have a million dollars each or divide by 9 the total money left over after the sale of his assets. He had the kids he has to man up and pay them.
  16. As many have said here already. If he can't stay in shape when millions are on the line what do you think he'll do when he's drafted? It's too much of a risk. I wouldn't take him til the fifth round if he was still there. Some team will grab him long before then and they may be very smart or very dumb but with that amount of cash on the line why risk it?
  17. Did you know Happy Birthday is copyrighted and the copyright is currently owned and actively enforced by Time Warner?[/u] Did you know that if you sing any copyrighted song: ...at a place open to the public ...or among a substantial number of people who are not family or friends You are involved in a public performance of that work? Did you know an unauthorized public performance is a form of copyright infringement? Is Happy Birthday Really Copyrighted? Yes. The melody for Happy Birthday was first penned by two sisters from Kentucky, Mildred J. Hill and Patty Smith Hill. The song was called Good Morning to All, but bore the recognizable melody. The tune was first published in 1893 in the book Song Stories for the Kindergarten. The melody has since passed into the public domain, and is safe to hum in public without permission. While it is not entirely clear who first wrote down the words for Happy Birthday, it showed up in a few places before Jessica Hill (another Hill sister) was able to demonstrate undeniable similarities between Good Morning to All and Happy Birthday and to secure the copyright to the song. Working with the Clayton F. Summy Publishing Company, Jessica Hill published and copyrighted Happy Birthday in 1935. While the copyright should have expired in 1991, copyright has been extended repeatedly over the last quarter of the twentieth century and the copyright for Happy Birthday is now not due to expire until at least 2030. The Clayton F. Summy Company is no longer independent, but, through a chain of purchases, the copyright for Happy Birthday To You lies securely in the hands of the Time Warner company. Happy Birthday's copyright is licensed and enforced by ASCAP, and the simple little ditty brings in more than USD $2 million in annual royalties. For more information on the history of the tune, lyrics, and copyright status, check out these resources: * Snopes' article on the legal status of Happy Birthday Don't forget to pay or TW lawyers may hunt you down and litigate you to death. If you've ever wondered why a lot of restaurants use different birthday type songs, this is why.
  18. Munchies would get a government grant to keep the prices very low.
  19. Thank you very much for that. I'll bow for those well deserved props. Thank you, thank you, no, no, no you're really too kind. Journalist wannabes almost as bad in their writing as Beerball. I hate to give Beerball any props but his writing's here are above Bialy's by this/close. Like StupidNation.
  20. That is not true. The ultra-conservatives have reminded us that a kid who gets pregnant out of wedlock is committing a mortal sin. (i.e. Jamie Lynn Spears) Being married is more important than the child's happiness.
