  1. Somebody should have been monitoring her a lot more and noticed that when her patients were injected with the saline instead of Fentanyl they had a lower tolerance for pain. Her positive test for hepatitis C should have been passed along to her superiors. Since this is job related I think confidentiality could be waived by having people sign a limited waiver. When I worked at Strong I was given a hepatitis C vaccine because my job was a risk for picking it up. At that time they didn't know how long it was good for. I hope I'm still immune. I think she should be charged with attempted murder for each case that comes back positive. JMO
  2. Great post! I think that explains the situation with the Bills very well. Sorry to hear about your diabetes.
  3. True, but 14 years for contempt of court? That seems about 12 years too excessive.
  4. Donte Whitner-DB- Bills Jul. 11 - 10:41 am et Even though he played nickel corner for the Bills last year, Donte Whitner will be focusing on safety this season. Reggie Corner, Drayton Florence and Ashton Youboty will compete for the nickel corner job. Whitner was merely filling in last year for an injured Youboty. Whitner faces the possiblity of losing a starting job this year to Jairus Byrd. IDP leaguers watch out. Source: buffalobills.com That article barely touches on Whitner and only really refers to him as nickel back and ignores his safety work at SS. IMO, the most interesting thing from the article is this; Most impressive in the spring camps was Corner. The Akron product has made a noticeable jump in his play from year one to year two. His improved anticipation led to more plays on the ball including a handful of interceptions during OTAs and minicamp. Entering training camp he’s considered the frontrunner. “You learn the system more, get more experience and you feel a lot better on the field and you’re not thinking as much,” said Corner. “So definitely it’s going to be a better year for me I feel.”
  5. If they played in the offseason I'd watch pretty often. Since they'll play during regular Football season I doubt I'll give them much notice. It's cool they are calling it a development league. That makes it a lot more interesting to me. I'm hoping it will eventually turn out to be a league similar to triple A baseball with each NFL team having a minor league team to develop players and the ability to call up and send down. Hopefully Rochester would get a team for the BB like the Amerks used to be for the Sabers.
  6. He also had a shoulder problem that plagued him for some of last season. From Rotoworld; Trent Edwards-QB- Bills Jan. 6 - 1:10 am et ESPN's John Clayton reports that Trent Edwards may need surgery on his shoulder this offseason. Clayton doesn't say if Edwards' right (throwing) or left shoulder is being looked at, but he is getting a "second and third opinion." Edwards battled a groin strain, ankle sprain, and a concussion in 2008, but was never known to have shoulder trouble. Like at Stanford, Edwards has been very injury prone as a pro and any potential loss of arm strength would be a major concern. Source: ESPN Insider Trent Edwards-QB- Bills Jan. 6 - 2:54 pm et The Bills claim Trent Edwards has lost no arm strength due to his shoulder trouble, but confirmed he is getting opinions from two doctors this week. The injury was discovered during Edwards' exit physical and is to his right (throwing) shoulder. Initial reports indicate that the injury is not serious, but if he does need an operation Edwards' future outlook could change. Source: Associated Press Trent Edwards-QB- Bills Jan. 16 - 10:09 am et Trent Edwards will not need surgery on his throwing shoulder this offseason, according to the Buffalo News. He got positive opinions from three doctors. While avoiding an operation is promising, the extent of Edwards' injury remains unclear and his status for OTAs is uncertain. He hasn't shown a quick ability to recover from injuries. The Bills are poised to add a quarterback this offseason, although Edwards seems likely to enter training camp as the team's clear starter. Source: Buffalo News Trent Edwards-QB- Bills Jan. 30 - 4:43 pm et Bills QB Trent Edwards revealed Friday that his throwing shoulder "feels great" and the swelling has subsided. Edwards termed the soreness he experienced "normal wear and tear" from the season and has been told by several doctors that the shoulder will heal on its own. His status for OTAs remains uncertain, but this report sounds promising. Source: Buffalo News That bothers me about the "normal wear and tear". Good lord this kid is brittle. At least it didn't affect his arm strength. Here's to a healthy 2009. What he said! I can also see Wood getting very angry after losses too. I hope there is a big time attitude shift this year. Thanks Captain Obvious! The Bills handled the JP problem the best I think they could. JP holding out last year wasn't a tactic the Bills should have caved to. So I think JP wasn't the same player last year. The guy gave up 11.5 sacks last year and didn't even know it!! He also admitted that his contract situation affected his play!! I think this addition by subtraction for the Bills. Even if the Bills had given in to him this offseason he still would've been a lockerroom and field problem. I think the change of scenery will be good for him. He'll be committed to Philly until he feels his contract is a problem again. Link If you do that again this year the caps won't be in your ass next year! You'll be dead!! Jack-Ass!!
  7. From the article; The past two defensive line coaches for the Bills were known as yellers. Tim Krumrie and Bill Kollar were highly vocal coaches that tried to get the most out of their players by preaching effort more than x’s and o’s. Buffalo’s new defensive line coach Bob Sanders has a bit of a different approach. He’ll raise his voice when it’s warranted, but his philosophy is strong technique skills win the battles in the trenches and get results. I wonder why that didn't work for Tim Anderson? Sanders doesn't want thinking as much as solid technique. This has nothing to do with a players instincts. This is all about using technique when attacking the OL. Sanders is trying to make the technique second nature for the guys. A lot of these guys already know how to diagnose a play. Play diagnosis is for the meeting rooms. I'm not as sure about that as you seem to be. I think you'll be very surprised by how much better the DL gets through solid techniques.
  8. I'm not so sure about that. It usually takes two years for a player to return to full strength from the injury Simpson had in 2007. I think you'll see the same Ko that played very well in his first season again. Hopefully they'll be able to trade a guy (most likely Simpson) for something. Even a 7th rounder would be better than letting a guy walk due to cuts. JMO
  9. It seems they keep 11 total DB's each year. 6 CB's and 5 Safeties. I'm guessing for CB's: McGee, McKelvin, Corner, Youboty, Lankster and Florence. For safeties I'm guessing; Whitner, Byrd, Wilson, Wendling, Simpson. JMO.
  10. Off the top of my head right now I can't think of a tougher division than the AFCE. Whoever wins the AFCE will be the best battle tested team going into the playoffs. I'm glad Buffalo plays in this division because the winner of the division will be an elite team. It doesn't guarantee a SB win but it does mean they've already beaten some elite teams. If Buffalo can become the division winner it's a very good sign for the future of this team. They are young and a lot of guys are just hitting their stride now.
  11. He was thinkin bout it but decided to cut you some slack jack. Ass.
  12. Jack ass!
  13. IDK, Skooby's car is worth more than the signing bonus alone. I read a Tim Green book where he talked about some guys he played with buying a new car every month. That's a huge financial hit over the course of a year. OT, but Green also said in that book that he hated playing in Buffalo the most due to rabid fans and playing against the teams that were then going to SB's every year.
  14. Mitchell and Whitner have identified him as the most surprising rookie in camp.
  15. Much clearer now but still damn funny! Look for O'Reilly to go off on Obama for it. "Is this any way for the leader of the free world to show himself!!"
  16. Linky
  17. Damn! I should have put Clinton's number on speed dial!
  18. Fixed!
  19. I'd do the same thing. Lookin aint touchin! Way to go Prez! He's human!
  20. I meant why you thought; You are generalizing way too much. There are conservative Christian southerners who aren't racist and not everybody in the north is a racist either. It seems like you are trying to say that all of each are one way. It's not totally true either way. You have to admit racism is far more prevalent in the south though. Whether religions enter into it I don't specifically know.
  21. I've heard this story with Ford as a waiter and not a grocery clerk but it's still funny; Harrison Ford Besides being a licenced pilot, what do I have in common with the actor Harrison Ford? In addition to being fabulously attractive and well regarded, of course. When Harrison Ford was starting out in Hollywood he landed a number of bit parts like bellhop, cowboy, and suspect number two. Naturally he played each role to the best of his ability, putting his considerable talent towards making the audience believe he was indeed a bellhop, a cowboy or a suspicious individual. He wanted bigger roles, but they were not forthcoming. One studio executive apparently told Ford that he was delivering the lines he was given, and was well-suited to portraying a bellhop or a waiter, but that he lacked star quality. "Check out Tony Curtis in HIS first role," the exec said. "He's a grocery clerk but you KNOW he's a movie star." "I thought the point was you were supposed to think he was a grocery clerk", countered Ford, quite reasonably.
