what would be a good idea for a blender drink....
Steely Dan replied to The Poojer's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Classic! Classic! SNL sketch! 1. Catch a bass. 2. Remove hook. 3. Place in bassomatic. When Cincy wrote that I knew about it but just couldn't remember everything. Thanks for jogging my memory. You forgot, though, that it can also liven up breakfast cereals! Vodka Martini, shaken not stirred. My suggestion is chocolate milkshakes with Bailey's Irish Cream! -
Disappeared! For what post?

The price of calamari just dropped to record lows. I can't believe that some people here drink clam juice in their drinks. Invest in the land just where the break is supposed to occur and you'll have beaucoup beach front property in a few years!

LK started on late night radio. Probably not. Letterman's staff probably asked his people if Paul would be willing to talk about his first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show back in 1964 when the Beatles first came to America. Letterman's stage is where they played back then. After they played on Ed Sullivan the beginnings of Beatlemania began. Paul's people probably got back and said yeah he'd really like to do an interview about the old times. Letterman's staff then probably asked what subjects would be ok to cover. JMO

This article explains things a little. Tackles need to be very mobile athletes. They need long arms to help with stopping rushers off the edge. Left tackles have to be the best player on the line. They have to take on every teams best pass rusher and protect the QB's blind side. On running plays these guys need to move the DL's back in order to open the hole for the RB to scoot through. (Ahhhh, the days of Thurman Thomas behind LT Will Wolford. Those were the days!) The problem people see on the Bills line is that Langston Walker is being moved from RT to LT. Many people here don't think he's athletic enough to take on the best pass rushers. Some people here are concerned that Brad Butler going from RG to RT is a bad thing. Butler had 30 starts as a college player at RT. He has the long arms and other physical attributes a RT needs. I see no problem with that move. Guards are bigger and beefier guys that often need to be able to take on two guys at once and plug up the holes the defense is trying to open in the middle of the line for the LB's during blitzes. They don't need to be as athletic just more of strong bulls that can push the defenders back on run plays and can wall off (create a pocket) the DL on passing plays. The center position IMO is greatly underrated in the game. The center has to make the line calls and simultaneously snap the ball and get up to block the nose tackle. IMO, it's the second hardest position on the line. Smart, tough aggressive guys are what a team needs to excel on OL. The Bills have put together a line like that now. IMO, they'll be good at the start of the season and great at the end.

Chad Ocho Cinco Plans To Twitter During Games
Steely Dan replied to angrygnome's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I disagree, he should be on the sidelines cheering the defense on. Tweeting on the sidelines is so egotistical it's disgusting. I hope the NFL fines him out the ying-yang. If he doesn't get his act straight he'll be a has been soon. I'd love to see him bust for the rest of his career and never make the HOF. Whitner needs another chance at him. -
That $ss*hole Letterman paid his entire staff through the last writers strike. He also was the first to settle with the writers union. STFU before you call someone an $ss*hole without the facts. What a lot of people don't know is that the interview topics are discussed beforehand for most guests. I'm sure McCartney's publicist was completely aware of what the interview would be. If he didn't want to talk about the Beatles he wouldn't have played "Get Back" on the marquis. JMO I have no idea where that came from.

I would just like to know

Are you henpecked by your wife? Sometimes there's no good way to take advice that is very hard to hear. I've been in situations, like Chef's, and have gotten very angry about it (not saying you are) and when I've cooled off I thought about it and realized the advice was good from caring people it just hit a little close to the bone. Here's another one of your thread titles; A sad day for me, My son will only be able to play JUCO I'm shocked! Absolutely astounded anyone could think that of you! Oh, and here. If that's too hard for you to figure out then try this one eediot!! I agree. For the first thread he wrote back in may "A sad day for my son", IMO, would have been better. For this one a title that doesn't make him the big loser in his son's knee problem would have been better. IMO, "Just when my son was getting back on track his knee blows out. He's devastated" It seems your focus is on your feelings about these situations and not your son's. JMO -
Terrell Suggs, who never minded playing under one-year franchise tags, found the financial security he had been seeking when he agreed to a six-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens. The contract is worth $63 million, according to a source. "Hello, is Jason Peters there? Hi Jason. Did you hear about how Terrell Suggs got a huge contract after acting like a team player for two years without holding out or letting his play slip? You did? Have you learned any..."(click)

The biggest thing is to pressure and sack Brady. The Giants showed that if you pressure him he is a totally different QB. IMO, he'll be gun shy after getting injured last year. They need to pound the ball as much as they can and as ans4e64 pointed out they will need to do a lot of shotgun. They need to go to the short passing game to set up the long ball. With Owens and Evans out there they won't be able to stack 8 men in the box. Look for NE to set up a lot of blitzes on the first few plays. They'll be testing the new OL. If they can manhandle the line then TE needs to exploit the decreased coverage. If he can burn the blitz enough they'll stop that right quick.
