  1. Well Schoop is dead wrong - RBs are found all over, -QBs not so much but Brady was a 6th round, Drew Breeze end of the 2nd, Tony Romo undrafted, Kurt Warner undrafted,- WRs this is the position Schoop is probably closest I think most 1000+ yard WRs come from the 1st two rounds- TEs again all over, Gonzalez a 1st, Winfield 1st, Gates undrafted, Witten 3rd, Cooley 3rd, Boss 3rd, Daniels 4th,
  2. I like it but if we agree on Michael Oher that means the Bills will probably take Michael Jenkins
  3. all things considered 11 might be the best spot in the draft- if you know what you are doing- Curry>Raji,>A Smith > M Oher> Tyson Jackson - one of them will certainly be there and 11 money isn't too bad
  4. I'd be pretty stoked too How would this be for the all overly optimistic draft day. 1a. Curry LB 1b, Ayers DE 2. William Beatty OT 3. Lawrence Sidbury DE 4a Traded for Henderson DT 4b Traded for Scheffler TE
  5. I was wrong on the compensation but other than that pretty good
  6. Mike is a fairly smart guy but only about half as smart as he thinks he is- his lack of football knowledge can be astonishing. one of the unforgivable things about the Peters trade was that it made me listen to WGR for the first time in a year.
  7. Rhodes is a smart Pick up he will spell Jackson the games Lynch is suspended and he will be there if either Lynch or Jackson is injured- what I don't understand from the topic starter is the idea that the first three games aren't important- do you think the Bills are so good they are going to Waltz into the playoffs - Please!!! if they make the playoffs it's going to be from scrapping for every game possible
  8. Supposedly Raji is one of the reasons that the Jags are talking about trading Henderson - the general thinking was that no one wanted to take a LB who's not a sack machine with the top 5 picks and that he wouldn't be a top 10 pick to any 3-4 team because he'd be a ILB.
  9. The Bills made the best of a bad situation but they are a large part of why the bad situation exists in the first place- blaming Peters is like blaming your two year old if he walks out the front door you left open- the Bills remind me of Will Smith in "The fresh prince of Bel Air" " someone has to be the Mature one, and it ain't going to be me"
  10. Could Curry really drop to us at 11 - talk is that the 3-4 teams don't think he rushes the QB well enough to be a real different maker- has anyone else read anything like this 1. Detroit,... Stafford QB 2. STL ... , Jason Smith OT 3. KC .... Eugene Monroe OT 4. Seattle ....Mark Sanchez QB 5. Cleveland Michael Crabtree WR 6. Cincinnati A. Smith OT 7. Oakland Jeremy Macklin WR 8. Jaguars Raji DT 9. Green bay Brian Orakpo DE/LB 10. San Fran Aaron Maybin DE/LB
  11. Question on Ayers: saw a highlight film and it looks like he gets three sacks a game- check the stats and he has three sacks for the season and 9 career- Jackson's not a sack expert either (4.5 sacks senior year, 19.5 sacks career) but I think he could move inside to DT on passing downs - does Ayers bring that versatility?
  12. Mike doesn't believe in taking Lineman high period, he thinks you should use 1st and 2nd rounders only on skill positions, I think one of his quotes is "geezz can't you find big fat people anywhere"
  13. A man is talking to his lawyer after his divorce trial MAN: "well I lost the house and car but I got to keep 50% of the other assets and I only have to pay her a third of my salary for the next 5 years, I guess we did the best we could " LAWYER: "well I guess" MAN: "what do you mean you guess, was there something else we could have done?" LAWYER " well I can't help thinking it would have gone better, if you didn't strump the babysitter in front of the nanny-cam"
  14. These moves would make perfect sense if they were getting ready for next year- Dump dockery, Peters, Kelsay, Parrish, TO has a one year contract dump Schobel- If the Bills work things right they may be 40+mil under the cap next year, very attractive to a new owner - I'd watch to see if anymore picks are for next year.
  15. I seen some draft stuff that has Curry falling to San Fran-I don't believe it but would you trade 11 and 28 to the Jags for Curry and Henderson.
  16. This is simple Raji> A Smith> M Oher> T Jackson> pray for trade down> Pettigrew> USC LB
  17. Peters won't give up more than three sacks this year for these reasons 1. he will come in fit, ready and with his head in the game 2. He has a legit QB who feels pressure and knows when to get rid of the ball 3. the interior of the pocket wont always be collapsing allowing him to just push the DEs around the pocket, it's going to be so much easier he's going to think he died and went to heaven.
  18. One thing the Jags don't have are WRs - Parrish for Henderson the best Bills deal ever on a pound for pound basis.
  19. What were the Stats going left and more importantly what were the stats up the middle- and I don't give much of a crap about stats because I have eyes and can see when a OG is getting push around like a shopping cart- so when Lynch gets hit 2 yards behind the line of scrimmage breaks three or four tackles to pick up five yards you think Butler should get credit.
  20. The reason was everyone thought he was too big for TE and he had no snaps at OL- some had him projected at DT- basically no one wanted a project- even though he ran a 4.9 at 336.
  21. I didn't like the OL last year but it had nothing to do with Peters- Dockery, Fowler, Preston, and Butler were all worthless and weak- Butler may have been the best of that motley crew (he didn't totally wiff or forget assignments) but he got no push in the running game and got pushed right back into the pocket way to often on pass plays.
