All you guys are talking about how we should ban high capacity mags and "assault weapons". The fact is there is zero difference between a semi-auto hunting rifle and an AR-15. High capacity mags? Many lives were saved by the fact that the shooter's mag jammed, as big mags are very prone to do. Holmes could have easily killed many more people if used more, smaller magazines.

Who's to blame? Richard Nixon. These people are shooting each other over drugs, plain and simple. Nothing else can offer anywhere close to the rate of return as selling drugs.

The Supreme Court has ruled that the police have no duty to protect you, and are only there to investigate crimes after they happen. If you rely on the police for security, you really have none at all.

So let me get this straight, he pushed a cop and is being charged with resisting arrest, and not battery? Not very likely. Especially since 90%+ of the time they charge you with anything remotely applicable in order to have more leverage when bargaining.

The uptick in crime has nothing to do with gun laws and everything to do with the drug war. The vast majority of these guys wouldn't be shooting each other if a bag of crack wasn't worth many times what it costs to produce.

Early Judaism was not monotheistic. In fact only after the Babylonian exile did they deny the existence of other gods such as El (used for the supreme creator in genesis, but rarely used after.. is a canaanite god), Baal, and Asherah. They only made the distinction because it was thought the Babylonian god defeated their god and they were conquered. It allowed the Jews to retain some pride after some bad defeats.

The same can be said for religion.

It's impossible to get rid of these drugs. Most of the designer drugs are research chemicals that have some psychoactive effect. They literally have pages and pages of them, waiting until one is made illegal to release the next one. The chemists will always be far ahead of the law.
