  1. You really have trouble grasping the whole partisan/non-partisan/bipartisan thing, don't you? Any judge, whether a simple county judge or a Justice of the Supreme Court has as much of a right as you or I to be a member of a political party. It's incumbent upon that individual to be impartial with regard to their personal politics when making a ruling. Your second sentence seems to be saying that since the democrats have done their utmost to slander him and destroy his credibility, that he can no longer be impartial. If that's the case, then we'll likely never get another justice on the court because all the opposition will need to do is throw the hammer down on them every time a nominee comes before them. I don't get the last sentence at all. A swing vote not the norm? A lot of cases come down to one justice ruling one way or the other to decide the SC's position, so swing votes are quite common. In fact, that's one of the things that has the dems throwing such a hissy fit because Kennedy was frequently a swing vote on the court.
  2. The way I figure it, if they can do a cavity search simply on suspicion, then passwords are a shoo-in.
  3. And doing a rather ham-handed job of it, too. Cruz ought to be good.....
  4. &#$@ you for making me agree with Gator......
  5. Indeed. Temerity, gall, and chutzpah all work too.
  6. Sorry, but I disagree completely. If Kavanaugh gets sunk, then the left is only going to be emboldened in their attacks. They will be every bit as vociferous, if not worse, with whoever else gets nominated. They need to be defeated.
  7. That wasn't a Los Pollos Hermanos restaurant - I believe it was the same Taqueria where Tuco used to receive his collections along with Nacho; the same place where Mike conned Tuco into beating the crap out of him in front of the police.
  8. Let me know if you ever run for national office.
  9. With respect, I believe it's important to acknowledge the ever-increasing violent activism of the modern left, and the increasing incidents of assault and destruction they perpetrate. The number of such thugs has so far been a small percentage of the left, but by all accounts they appear to be growing in number. Real liberals can be reasoned with, and are largely able to respect differences they don't necessarily agree with, at least to the point of being able to maintain a civil dialogue. We as a society can tolerate with a bunch of whiny little pussies. The violent "resisters" present a real danger if their ranks ever grow to significant numbers.
  10. If I was on a ship with all three and I had a gun, I'd probably have shot myself in the head long before it started to sink. That being said, If I was to be a survivor, Avanatti would be doomed.
  11. I would point out though that making a circus out of SC justice appointments is pretty much only perpetrated by the Democrat party. Beginning with the Bork confirmation hearings, then Clarence Thomas, and now with Kavanaugh, they've gone all out to do whatever they can to smear each one of them. By contrast, every democrat appointment in my adult lifetime has faced nothing more in their confirmation hearings than the standard dog & pony questions, with a bit of partisan glowering and harrumphing thrown in for good measure. None that I can remember have actually had their character attacked or personal lives sullied like happens to republican nominees. The methods being used against Kavanaugh are nothing more than delay tactics. Outrageous, libelous, and disgusting, but still empty accusations. If the New York %&#$ing Times deems the accusations to be too flimsy to report, then that should be enough right there to stop the charade once & for all. This is nothing more than the radical left steering what little remains of the Democrats of old all the way into all-out TDS hysteria. They're no longer content with looking for things to be angry about, they're actually inventing them, and antifa, along with the rest of the fascist elements that call today's Democrats home are taking this all to a dangerous extreme.
  12. There's no need to slander poor Mr Goodman, is there?
  13. 1) He outsmarted the smartest person ever to run for president 2) The racist clause in our constitution that gives us the electoral college
  14. Quote of the day, right there.
  15. We're in complete agreement here.
  16. If there was any basis in fact for allegations of racism by Trump, then those throwing their fits might have justification for their actions. The fact is that those accusations aren't founded in fact, but rather an unabated wave of TDS. Even if you disagree with my assessment, I still challenge anyone who seeks to justify the hatred and violence the far left has begun to openly embrace.
  17. That's pretty sad. I remember when the American left used to try to presume a monopoly on caring. They appear to have given that up for a monopoly on hate. I liked them better before.
  18. Although I disagree with it, a backlash against open support for the president is one thing, but for taking advantage of attending a round table with the president of the US?
  19. This 100%.
  20. According to that article, one reason among several given for the company's financial trouble is because the owner attended a round table meeting with the president, and the subsequent backlash is supposedly hurting business. If that is indeed the case, Trump is only bad for business if a large enough portion of a business's clientele is a bunch of intolerant, Trump-hating leftists whose bigotry and hatred of Trump will cause them to stop doing business with a company they had hitherto supported. Who then is truly the hateful one?
  21. What?! I knew that the first three names you listed were all the same person, but he was birddog too? Birddog was always a lefty, but he never seemed that idiotic, or acted like such a troll. What happened? A head injury? A lobotomy? A case of sudden-onset microcephaly?
  22. I'm tempted to call BS on Ford's accusations since Kavanaugh has already been vetted by the FBI six times in the past. Surely considering all of their resources combined with their penchant for leaking to the press we would have already heard about this had it actually happened.
  23. Why is it an either/or? I'd say it was very plainly both 1 and 2.
