  1. Yes - Hover was crafty, while Hoover just sucked.
  2. I don't see people here using the poll to support anything. They're using it to illustrate the fact that more white people are offended by the term "Redskins" than there are in the native American communities.
  3. If that's strictly for wireless voice and not data, then they are indeed dumbasses.
  4. The "pee-pee-tee-pee". Honestly, the only person that should have any say in what that team is named is Dan Snyder.
  5. Not only that, but it's great for your lawn.
  6. Are we to assume this guy wasn't in drag or obviously trying to appear female? Was he just walking into a women's bathroom dressed like a regular dude? This lady quoted has it right, and it's pathetic that the security guard got arrested.
  7. I hear that Irish Spring protects your garden against cervine and other assorted herbivores.
  8. It figures that deer are racist against leprechauns - I've never trusted those beady-eyed, Cervine bastards. Besides, deer whistles produce a pitch which is likely to be above their hearing threshold, so I'd probably be better off rigging a PA speaker inside my grill and connecting it to my CD player, where I can play a mixed disc of bear growls while traversing the Texas backwoods. Seriously though - I had never heard of using Irish Spring to ward off herbivorous mammals before.
  9. That would work, but not as well as my piranha-stocked moat. Irish Spring? Really? I'm wondering if it would work as deer repellant if I used it to wash my truck.
  10. My favorite comic strip ever.
  11. Guns? When bears are involved, I become an advocate for grenade ownership.
  12. Krugman and his ilk have been making those same claims for so many years about all Republicans that they've gotten to the point where they actually believe them. Their penchant for seeing racism, the evil rich, and Christian intolerance everywhere they look has turned them into a bunch of bitter, self-deluded, neo-commie-fascists, and they've blazed the trail that leads directly to the door of the Sanders campaign headquarters.
  13. This article was written 19 years ago, and pretty much ignores any political elements associated with the topic, probably because it was written 19 years ago. "Through a million year period, the average amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is affected by four fluxes: flux of carbon due to (1) metamorphic degassing, (2) weathering of organic carbon, (3) weathering of silicates, (4) burial of organic carbon. Degassing reactions associated with volcanic activity and the combining of organic carbon with oxygen release carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Conversely, the burial of organic matter removes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere." http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/earth/cause-ice-age.html
  14. So the left is getting a taste of its own medicine at the hands of their comrades, eh?
  15. I'm truly sorry that I missed that.
  16. I was afraid people might think I had dated Gator.
  17. This reminds me of a girl I took out to dinner once. We ran into another couple I know, so the four of us were having dinner at a nice little Tex-Mex place out on the patio. We were all commenting on how impressive the full moon looked, and this girl suddenly started going on about how ( paraphrased ) the full moon makes people do crazy things because it has more mass when its full, so there's an increased effect of gravity on people and animals. That's why dogs howl at the moon - they feel the extra gravity. The other couple were polite about it, but I wasn't. I tried to remind her that when the moon waxing or waning gibbous, there's still just as much moon present, that you just can't see it all. She just looked at me blankly and said "but when its full, you see more of it." I never saw her again.
  18. Holy crap - watch that video. What a bunch of spoiled, misinformed, angry little morons.
  19. I agree. I was only addressing what I believe to be the futility in the "let's dig up some dirt" approach that Bezos wants to take.
  20. Not that it matters anyway. They're not going to find anything so outrageous that his supporters will change their minds - he's lived his life publicly for decades. The "let's try to smear Trump" train left the station months ago.
  21. I don't think the party cares. Bernie fans will come unglued once the super delegates cast their votes for Hillary anyway.
  22. Maybe one of Trayvon's relatives will buy it and use it on Zimmerman.
  23. Bernie's hanging around because he's a true believer and he's trying to make a point. He's riding it out as far as he can, regardless. If Hillary has to bail on her presidential bid, you'll see Biden in there so fast that it'll make your head spin.
