Well, I finally went downstairs (been working from my home office today), and I noticed that one of my cats must've puked on the carpet last night. Just lovely... So I go to clean it up, and I see a hoard of ants crawling on top of it. YUCK! Looking closer, I also see a stream of ants walking away from the puke, just like you see on cartoons. Never seen anything like that before... So I follow the line to the end and I see a couple of the little buggers crawl into a hole in the carpet where the stairs meet the floor, and then they disappear... (It's more like a small crease where the carpet from the first floor meets the carpet going up the stairs; not sure if that's always been there or if the bugs did it...) I used some bug spray on the area, cleaned up the puke (and killed/vacuumed the bugs), and sprayed extra where that hole in the carpet was. I'm guessing these little buggers didn't just move in yesterday (although maybe they did with the weather change?). Should I hire an exterminator? Will the spray in that area be enough? Or should I just let them go? Our cats puke at least once every month or so, and I really don't want a repeat of what I saw this morning.... Besides, can't they be dangerous to the house or something? For the record, the living room is right off of the dining room/kitchen, and we've never seen them in there before, including today... Damn insects... CW

I agree that SMG was a terrible choice fo the role, but that didn't ruin it for me. The sound on the phone and from the kid were both creepy IMHO. My wife still hates that sound. Freaked her out the whole movie The only thing I didn't like was the movie was extremely confusing to follow the first time through due to the hops in the timeline. However, it made it easier to watch Ju-On because I already knew the timeline. CW

They do a lot of good work against things like this, content management, etc.. EDIT: If I would've read the article a little closer, I would've seen that they actually credited EFF with finding it. You have to watch the movie a couple of times because it's not told in chronological order. It was kinda weird when I watched Grudge, but then when I watched Ju-On, it made a lot more sense (the two are different, but the basic story is pretty close). I've read lots of good things about Ring, so I'll have to check that out (havn't decided if I want the American or Japanese version though). CW

I'd recommend either the Grudge (english) or Ju-On (Japanese, with English subtitles). VERY creepy. You WON Nethack once? If so, I'm impressed. The closest I got was when I had the amulet and tried getting back to the surface but was killed by the ever-resurrecting Wizard of Yendor. I was not a happy camper. I used to play rogue and hack, although it was on my dad's Amiga 500 (probably circa 1985 or so). My memory is sketchy on those; all I remember is that it was tough to find food and I starved to death a lot... CW

Agreed. Half the fun of the show is seeing all the unique lacales. I'm sure they did it because they don't want little kids running around in 3rd world countries - too dangerous. Either that, or it'd cost too muc hsince they'd have to fly lots more people around. Not sure, but it's definately not as interesting as the "real" editions;. And yes, it's been going on for four weeks or so. CW

This is one of the best games ever made; I've been playing for years, and have only come "close" to winning once... Very deep, lots of variety, never the same game twice. Or a defense that only gave up 19 points to both the Bucs and Saints...? The doublestandards around here are amazing. In crunch time, Bledsoe leads the team down for the winning FG, yet gets no credit. However when he FAILS in crunch time, regardless of how he plays the rest of the game, it's said that he can't win when there's pressure on him. CW

He did carry them last week (despite the defense trying to give it away - although the defense helped carry for the first 3 quarters) against the 3-1 Giants. Then again, that was at home so time will tell. Any team losing their LT (pro-bowl quality or not) is going to suffer. CW

Actually, I just read the link that posted above my thread. Hadn't actually even thought about the topic until saw the thread bump up again. No reason to get bent out of shape, we can all have our own opinions on the matter and there's nothing wrong with sharing some facts. And just because TD said he hired a new security firm, doesn't mean that the state isn't paying for it. We just don't know (and may not be able to find out, unless someone else starts a lawsuit). CW
