  1. And why shouldn't we be worrying about 20 years from now? Maybe you're an old geiser who plans to be dead soon, but I'm not; I plan on still being alive in 50 years, yet alone 20. CW
  2. So you'd be fine with some cops busting into your house with your wife/girlfriend in there, your stuff rifled through and taken without any documentation as to WHAT they've taken? In addition, being detained for hours, just because you didn't make eye contact with a police officer when going into the tube station and you used your cell phone to send a text message while waiting for a train is ok? On top of that, you're fine with them keeping your DNA on file? What's to stop the next step, taking your DNA information that's now on file and look it over to determine if you should be granted health insurance? "I'm sorry sir, your DNA shows that you might have some health problems in the future, so we're going to raise your rates." (beforey ou say that's ridiculous, predictions are already being made that this will happen in the near future). Incredible that people are willing to live in a police state, all because it "might" improve security (because it did such a great job with the London bombings, didn't it? ). I guess I'll just stop posting this stuff since I'm aparantly in the minority. CW
  3. Yup, I knew this was coming to a state near you. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...5092301665.html CW
  4. Scary stuff, IMHO. Wouldn't be surprised if this stuff happens here as well. http://www.guardian.co.uk/attackonlondon/s...1575532,00.html
  5. I'm not "working myself into a lather," I'm simply stating (with facts) that NO other coach in the NFL would run up the score like that. It's a pretty weak argument to say, "They should've tackled the back." The point is, it was a classless move by the Raiders. CW

  7. Then Turner's the only coach in the league doing his job, because most coaches don't do that at the end of a game. For example: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/playbyplay?gameId=251023034 Pretty sure Indy could've scored another TD if they wanted to (or at least kicked a FG). I guess Dungy isn't doing his job. The Rams' new coach isn't doing his job properly either: 2nd and 11 at NO 12 (:48) J.Martin kneels to NO 14 for -2 yards (B.Young). 3rd and 13 at NO 14 (:22) J.Martin kneels to NO 15 for -1 yards (B.Young). And can you believe those KC Chiefs? What the heck, why weren't they running up the score? Don't they know it's a tiebreaker?! http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/playbyplay?gameId=251021015 CW
  8. So it's been nearly 30 years since net points in a conference game has been a tiebreaker... I'm pretty sure the tiebreakers have changed since then, to make it even more difficult to get down that far. As I stated in my last post, the '98 season was division points. Here's the new tiebreaker rules (changed in '02, when they changed to 4 divisions per conference): http://www.nfl.com/standings/tiebreakers Points in non-divisional games are way down on the list now. Cw
  9. Except that's net points in divisional games, not net points in conference games. CW
  10. I'm hoping you can see the difference... The Bills scored 41 of those 51 points in the FIRST HALF. They didn't score a TD with 20 seconds left in the game. In fact, we probably could've put up close to 100 points that game, if we had wanted to. That's not the same as scoring with a 14 point lead and 10-20 seconds left in the game. CW
  11. More time to watch Firefly.
  12. As far as I know, in the entire history of the NFL, the tiebreaker has NEVER come down to points scored. EVER. Granted, not quite as classless as the Patriots getting a 2-point conversion after the "just give it to 'em" game, but classless nonetheless. Yes, we couldn't stop anyone, but you still take a knee in that situation. CW
  13. Keep in mind that allofmp3.com is "probably" illegal as well. Nothing has gone against it yet, but it's not santioned by the RIAA and is based in Russia. Food for thought. CW
  14. We beat the Dolphins in the "Snow Bowl." The Dolphins won the division that year.
  15. Exactly. We have a QB who can't throw the ball more than 10 yards downfield, and a QB who CAN throw the ball downfield, but not withing 10 yards of a receiver. CW
  16. How classless is it for the Raiders to run up the score like that??? I wish Ralph never gave Davis money. Let the damn Raiders fold. CW
  17. I found Buffalo's offensive gameplan! If it's 3rd and short, we pass short for a first. If it's 3rd and medium, we pass short and hope someone breaks a tackle. If it's 3rd and long, we pass short and hope someone breaks lots of tackles If it's 3rd and forever, we pass short and punt. CW
  18. According to a post in the "official" thread, NFL.com has him listed as probable.
  19. He missed a couple of plays, but was back in again after the Jerman injury.
  20. The Vikes are absolutely atrocious. They fumbled the snap on 4th and an inch. After a huge KR that put them in field goal range, they fumble... It's 14-0 and would be worse if they were playing a good team. Culpepper's been sacked a bunch of times already. Good night, Vikes. CW
  21. What broguht this up?
  22. Not to threadcrap, but Bledsoe has been making those plays all year in Dallas. That said, I don't understand why we've rarely run screen plays (or draws, for that matter) since the Kelly/Thomas/Reed years. CW
  23. Yes, the dinosaurs make a few appearances in the series as well and are pertty funny Glad you enjoyed it! (although I had no doubts ). CW
  24. Living in Minnesota, I hear news reports about this everyday (it's getting old...) However, I figured I should clarify that the players WERE making advances towards people who worked on the ship. In addition, the players never secured the necessary permits to have "adult entertainment" on the ship. Apparantly that's something that needs to be cleared ahead of time. CW
