  1. The old saying goes, "The day you start listening to the fans is the day you're sitting with them." Well, why not let the fans coach the team! I suggest equipping all of the seats at the Ralph with buttons (similar to "Who Wants to be a Millionaire"). Every play, there's 4 or 5 options -- "Run right," "pass middle," "trick play," etc. Whichever play gets the most votes in the stadium gets run! You don't have to pay for a head coach (or maybe just offesnsive/defensive coordinators), you guarantee a sellout every game (come on, who wouldn't want to help control the team???). To top it off, we'd get MAJOR national media attention - something people here complain that there's a lack of. It's a win-win situation! CW
  2. He was sacked three times against Jax... That said, I think you keep the players in, hope they build a big lead and pull 'em at halftime. Nobody will say, "Hey, the Colts won the Superbowl in '05," but they WILL remember if the Colts went undefeated while doing it. CW
  3. http://www.startribune.com/stories/510/5778895.html I guess he's only afraid of Willie Parker, not the Bus. http://sports-att.espn.go.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=250102002 CW
  4. It definately sounds like something Marv would say. Too bad they don't link the audio... CW
  5. Umm, your link doesn't show any of that info....
  6. He was the third QB and never played. CW
  7. Gilbert was awesome. Only player in NFL history to go to five straight Superbowls. He even had a hand in bringing the Chargers there in '94, as he played a bit when Humphries (?) was hurt. CW

  9. One of my favorite scenes from Simpsons. Chief Wiggim: No, this is 9-1.....2.
  10. You only came over for a few days??? From my time in London, it seemed to me that people went on holiday for 2-4 weeks at a time. A few days hardly seems worth it (especially considering the game... ). Can't wait to hear about your trip though! CW
  11. Do a search, and you'll find MANY more posts started from bashers complaining about every bad play: http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...4922&hl=bledsoe http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...4912&hl=bledsoe http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...6556&hl=bledsoe http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...3531&hl=bledsoe That's 4 of the top 6 threads. Funny, considering these posts are started by the people saying "Let it go, he's gone." Again, so there's no misunderstanding, my posts are directed towards the people who said/say he's washed up and should retire. CW
  12. Umm... Did you even click the link? Dallas Cowboys at San Diego Chargers CW
  13. That bum Bledsoe throwing 6 incomplete passes. What a loser! http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=250911024 CW
  14. Because it's more fun to constantly bash MM/TD (and sometimes EM/MW) in 73 separate threads...? CW
  15. Why do they get a pass because they're an expansion team? Last I checked, Jax and Car made the conference finals their second year in the league... CW
  16. I think we'd be slightly better this year with Bledsoe, but only by a few wins, and probably not enough to make a playoff run (and definately not enough to win a playoff game). The only point I'm making with my posts on the topic are that Bledsoe is far from washed up like the people who ran him out of town on this board said. The progression of posts has actually been rather amusing as bashers backpedal from "He should retire!" to "See, we told you he sucked!" to "Well, of course he played well the first couple of games, he can't win on the road though," to "Well, of course he won on the road, but he'll tank after 8 games," to, "Take your DB poster down, he doesn't play for us anymore!" CW
  17. I think it's hilarious that people are complaining about not being allowed a sign/tshirt, yet frisking everyone is a-ok.
  18. You mean like how all the Drew bashers post whenever he gets a sack or a loss (even if it's a preseason game)? Also, Bledsoe was anything but ordinary today. Besides, that stat you quote is *worthless* unless you put it in context; what is Kelly's record against 10-5-1 teams? Marino? Elway? Montana? It's worthless if you don't have any context. At least Bledsoe comments are confined to one thread, unlike the 487 "MM/TD suck" threads. CW
  19. Yeah, tired logic because the argument was, "Is Bledsoe washed up or not?" Last I checked, he has only one losing season in the last four. That's not washed up. Yet people like you insist on saying "HE SUCKS!" Whatever. CW
  20. Well, can't argue with that tired logic, can you? CW
  21. He's much closer to being an HOF QB than he is to being washed up. CW
  22. That's not the point. Nobody on the board has said that Bledsoe is the league MVP. However, the bahsers simply say that he's washed up and should retire because he flat out sucks, and are unwilling to admit that he's a good-to-very-good (not great) quarterback. CW
  23. Fun watching a washed up QB who should retire, isn't it...? CW
  24. Well, if you were watching, you would've seen Bledsoe lead the team down the field for the go ahead TD. Interesting stat -- since '93, Bledsoe is tied for 1st in come 4th quarter come-from-behind drives (tied with Favre). CW
