  1. Jobs created is a stupid dead horse beating red herring. If I ran a successful company of 100 people for 10 years that turned a large profit every year, never hired any more employees and at the end of 10 years I still employed 100 people, did I really create 0 jobs?
  2. 1) Don't worry about it. You're getting married. They won't be your friends much longer. Pocket the cash and buy something you like. It's the last time you'll be able to buy something for yourself without permission. 2) Are you talking songs during the ceremony, or a first dance/reception type of song? Don't worry about it. You're getting married. Your music appreciation will dwindle until you're unfortunate enough to start singing along with the ****ty songs on her favorite playlists. One day you'll have kids and it's "Wheels on the Bus" time then. 3) Don't worry about it. You're getting married. Sports will become something you can barely keep up enough with to talk semi-intelligently at work since you haven't seen much/any of the actual game. Sundays off limits is a joke. It'll start slowly at first, but eventually you'll be watching reruns of "What not to Wear" and "Toddlers and Tiaras". It's a win win for her. Because eventually you'll get so fed up with the stupidity of those shows that you get up and work on the house instead of watching TV. Which is what she wanted you to do anyway. Congrats
  3. Reading an EII post is like having a cartoon character open a closet that is so full, the door is about to burst, and suddenly being buried in a pile of **** falling out of the closet. It's predictable, stupid, and just a mess of ****.
  4. So who's the douche that made up a new handle to start ridiculous threads around here? It is the return of an old douche, or a current douche trying to be funny?
  5. You have serious issues. Might want to check into the homophobia. And being able to read us good. Now you can start working on comprehension. If you were worth having a discussion with I might try it. But so far my responses are a reflection of the level of conversation I wish to have with someone like you.
  6. Wow an intellectual and a tough guy.
  7. So now you have a behemoth of a bill that few, probably including you, have read completely, and you're excited because it provides a framework that can be improved? And you called me naive? Maybe when you take some time off from being an imbecile here on ppp you can look up what some of the words you can so easily spell mean. Call me gay all you want, but if you truly believe the pompous **** you post I pity the people in your life that have to deal with your stupidity on a daily basis.
  8. Good write up. But a difference of opinion could be whether the word penalty was up to interpretation. Had they said charged or fee, that could be up for interpretation. Penalty is a different word with a different meaning than tax. There should be some ambiguity necessitating the need for interpretation. There has to be some kind of line drawn as to when words or statements are open for interpretation and when they aren't. I think they drew that line incorrectly this time.
  9. You play dense so well, one must wonder how much you're really playing.
  10. Your asinine and pompous opinions have been met with exactly the type of response they deserve. Feel free to keep stating gems like doing something is better than doing nothing. It's that kind of stupidity that keeps this place going.
  11. So as long as they are popular programs, that means they are working well? Really, I'd like to hope you're smarter than that.
  12. Hmm...seems like only 1 person here is acting like an "internet tough guy"....
  13. Yes, gov't iterations work out well. Look how SS and Medicare have vastly improved since their beginnings. Also education, and the tax code. All things the gov't continues to improve. You !@#$ing idiot.
  14. I like how the only 2 choices you listed are: He judges the law correctly and fairly and it is upheld, or He votes political party lines and the law is overturned. Good thing those were his only 2 options.
  15. Why? Are there 77 people you want to kill?
  16. Who are you going to find that says all people shouldn't be able to have healthcare coverage? It's how you implement that idea that divides people.
  17. So it should be easy for you to use your statistics in the categories you feel are key and come up with the "best" country. I'll wait...
  18. Usually you just hire the people that write the legislation...
  19. Keep up skippy. It doesn't have to be either form or interpreted substance. It can and should be both.
  20. Legislation is like MMA. Never leave the decision in the hands of the judges.
  21. I understand what you're saying, and I understand courts have done this in the past. We'll disagree as to whether it should be the job of the court to judge their interpretation of the substance of the law and not judge the actual law that was written.
