  1. If you spent the first half of your life in Buffalo until you got married, then you weren't really a kid during the drought years (if this were West Virginia or Utah it could be a different story). I'm pretty sure he's saying the smaller kids during the drought years never got that 'Hero QB' that the current little fellas get to grow up with. Nothing wrong with his take, but not Earth-shattering. In Chicago, there are literally 2,000 residents who can rightfully believe they had a Hero QB in their childhood.
  2. Great video - love the music... especially the ancient Rome themes. Funny, we ended up with decades of red helmet for 1 season of Ferguson under Kay Stephenson.
  3. Considering most of us have been driven to insanity by now, and some of us would cut off a left ear for a SB win, seems pretty fitting.
  4. Crap, I spelled Ralonzo's name wrong... must've been buzzed haha Still, massive appreciation to he who's name I can't spell
  5. I want to throw out a massive appreciation nod to Rolanzo. It's not every moment most of us can tune into a football message board and somehow come across a genuine noter of songs. Dude should be writing for Cream
  6. They'd lose half the fanbase- Even our 19 year old fans would be having heart attacks.
  7. You know where this is going: Fookin great stuff!! Maybe the greatest duet
  8. That's the thing- everyone who followed baseball that year knew the Dodgers had zero chance of winning that series. The A's were brutally stacked, and had easily the best closer in baseball. The dodgers had 1 pitcher and were otherwise old and beat to a pulp. Gibson's homer made the impossible possible- there was no game 7 without that hit, and that's why it makes possibly the most important hit in baseball history all the more amazing- it was game 1. It literally changed the entire series. And Vin Scully to top it off... the man just knew what was important in letting the game play, but when he did speak it was just so poignant. Even the throw away stories were great too- he could've had dinner with a bat boy's grandma, and you'd never want the story to end.
  9. My gal got her Alzheimers mom switched from Medicare to Medicaid (OR state), which has a pretty robust in-home care program (11 hours/day). They also have a private arrangement with a woman who lives in the home and is on call for the nights should something arise. Don't know about NY, but here's a page to start if interested: https://www.health.ny.gov/facilities/home_care/consumer.htm she owns her home, but still qualified due to low enough monthly income- late husband's SS
  10. More of a smash 'n grab n most cases.

  12. It's just a lovely song:
  13. I like to think I've been a breath of inspiration to Ms. Raitt over these past many years. I was there on the closing night of Sweetwater in Mill Valley, when as chance would have us locked together, Bonnie Raitt needed to use the restroom, and I was helplessly stuck in her way in a packed house. We looked, simultaneously adoringly and helplessly into each others' eyes, shared inquisitive yet hopeful breaths, and somehow moved humanity with our mutual understandingness. She found the bathroom she'd been seeking, and I believe she's been rocking the world ever since.
  14. I remember watching this Gem at the Northstar in SF... feels like 8 lifetimes ago. I was so excited thinking 'finally, we've got a real quarterback!!'
  15. There are no Dems. There is no us and them. There are Americans, and there are dipshits. Americans make this country work. Dipshits argue its demise.
  16. I'll keep trying to get this band some love until I die. )
  17. No dipshit, nobody's cheering on the idea that we as human beings are addled with very difficult moral decisions.
  18. I dedicate this one to T&C
  19. There's like 28 pop songs waiting to be made from this one...
