i'll give you jones-drew, because imo he is one of the best short-yardage runners in the nfl, but not lendale white. anyways, my point was, those stats weren't really indicative of a player's skill level.

the only reason i could see leonhard wanting to come to buffalo is if we severely overpay him compared to what everyone else is offering. why would he want to leave an attacking defense that suits his strengths to come here to the sit and react defense?

more chances should usually equate to more touchdowns. i don't see how thomas jones getting 21 more carries and 4 touchdowns in the redzone makes him that much better than marshawn lynch. how many idiotic fades have we thrown on the 1 yard line that could have been cake touchdowns for lynch? playcalling is also a factor.

what is your criteria for 'easily better in the redzone'?

to me, Jones is just mediocre. If he was as great as everyone is making him out to be, Chicago would have never even drafted Cedric Benson in the first place. Who, if he wasn't a moron more interested in boating drunk, should have filled in seamlessly for Jones after Jones was traded away. Chicago's subsequent collapse the next year had more to do with their defense not being elite rather than Thomas Jones being traded away.

why would you think that about boldin when he was in college? his two years where he got significant time, he had 100+ catches for 1600 some yards and 19 touchdowns. his big year even came after he tore up his knee.

screw that. they're crazy. before this year, the label on thomas jones was damn near a bust. i'd say he's solid more than superstar, and he's not going to get any better than he produced last year.
