  1. imo it's a little premature to be predicting gloom and doom, with free agency and the draft not even having gone by.
  2. yeah, except for the fact that he specifically mentioned that JP was part of the equation. Oops! Try again.
  3. Please elaborate on this statement. If you mean that Jeff Garcia is nothing but a winner and gets it done, then you're correct. The man is a player and I'd be happy if Trent could put up any of the numbers that Garcia has put up.
  4. if culpepper comes to buffalo, i'm never supporting the bills again.
  5. i absolutely hate the thought of drafting a TE @ 11.
  6. cleveland doesn't really have any leverage here. they've made it clear that brady quinn is their QB, and anderson's contract is ridiculous. my guess is they end up cutting him and taking the signing bonus cap hit, because i can't see them eating his $10million dollar salary to be the backup. Then I could see us signing him for an incentive laden deal, possibly. If he was traded for, I can't see anything more than a pittance given up for him. It'd just be stupid for any team to give up anything more than that. in summary, if we could sign him for cheap after cleveland cuts him, then hell yes sign him. let him and edwards battle for the #1. this BS about 'Edwards is entrenched as the starter' is ridiculous.
  7. going along with the topic, haynesworth took a while before he became a dominant DT.
  8. damn.. impressive.
  9. Hmm. If I remember correctly, we switched to a 3-4 to get Sam Cowart onto the field.
  10. the strangest thing about Dockery is that when he was in Washington, he was a budding star just on the verge of Pro-Bowl performance. What the hell happened up here in Buffalo?
  11. Well, I certainly hope he motivates himself. Buffalo has (and still is) looking for a legitimate QB ever since Jim Kelly left. Maybe he can be that guy.
  12. Thurman being furious about his draft position was because he was an awesome college player that only dropped due to worries about an injury. The only similarities between Thurman and Trent's college careers is that they both got hurt.. with Edwards getting hurt a hell of a lot more. Thomas was an awesome college player. Edwards? Not so much.
  13. holy frickin' crap. how did you not melt down in all his glory and chroiseness? did you at least go prostrate in his presence?
  14. whoever the announcer was is irrelevant; the fact is that edwards did say those things about knowing who every qb ahead of him was, when they were drafted, and how much $$ they made.
  15. i don't know where they got 94 tackles for denney. espn has him @ 58 with mitchell having 82.
  16. i'd love for us to have fred signed for 3 or so years. he's proven that he's a more than capable NFL running back. PAY THE MAN HIS MONEY
  17. impossible for that guy from NYC. Lawrence Taylor also was addicted to cocaine and hookers. Are you saying that trent edwards should be too? :dunce:
  18. and i never stated that he was. I said "maybe he's the answer @ OLB for us"
  19. if the bills win the Sb, I'm flying my ass up to Buffalo from Ocala, Florida and partying my friggin brain out.
  20. oh man, that'd be hilarious. i'd be loving it.
  21. not to mention, everyone was clamoring for Cassell to get cut during the preseason when he struggled so mightily...
  22. What's everyone think about Bobby Carpenter? He's been miscast as a 3-4 LB, and he has good size (6'3, 250+). He's also young. Thanks to Dallas running a 3-4, he's essentially worthless to them. I'm sure we could snag him for cheap. That'd give us a starting LB trio of Carpenter, Poz, and Mitchell, which doesn't look bad at all if Carpenter and Poz can play up to their potential. Best of all, it keeps Ellison off the field on running downs and doing what he does best... special teams/pass coverage. Thoughts?
  23. huh? have i even posted my political opinions on this board?
  24. if the bills were to draft CB in round one, they better have addressed the many other glaring needs of the team and traded away at least one CB.
  25. i'm not going to go out of my way or make plans to watch the game, but if i happen to be flipping through the channels I might check out what's going on for a few minutes.
