Are we seriously calling for Jaurons head
Pirate Angel replied to Pirate Angel's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who will be available that will be an improvement over Dick, you dont throw out your car unless you have something else that can get you to work. I believe we need leadership on the field a player that can motivate in the huddle, someone every player believe in, A Ray Lewis, a Tedy Bruschi, A Brett Farve, Joey Porter, Those players are few and far between but thats what we need, a player whos puts fear in the opponents someone who stands out, wether a free agent, a trade, or one of our guys step up, we need a pulse on the field. -
Are we seriously calling for Jaurons head

so firing a coach if hes not successful in 3 years is the thing to do? Do we take into consideration the condition of the franchise when he arrived? no QB, no oline, heartless runnigback, aweful defense, best players include Terrance Mcgee and Aaron Schobel. -

most coaches have a stronger influence on one side of the ball if theyve been on the defensive side there whole career, whether there the head coach or not theyre less likely to but heads with a coordinator that has been on the offensive side his whole career. In what way does he not have this team prepared? -
What exactly is he suppose to say during these interviews, what exactly would you like him to do on the sidelines. Billicheck is about as dull as they come and Andy Reid isnt at all entertaining. Jauron is a defensive minded guy, most of his emphasis is on the defensive side of the ball, our defense has been playing fairly solid considering the talent of the players.Im doubting the fact that hes coaching Duke Preston to go backwards, I dont think Keith Ellison learned to overpersue from Dick. Maybe he should draw Chris Kelsay a map so he can find the other teams backfield. My guess is Rian Lindell choked all by Monday night.

He Reminds me of a second year Quarterback (and you didnt mention a Quarter) who has no running game, an Oline that gets trashed up the middle, no tight end, and his best possession reciever is hurt.

No i dont expect any actually, but I would like to see some sort of spark from the coaching staff. wether it be a flea flicker or a half back option pass something to generate some excitement and get some momentum. -
#1. Could we please put Roscoe back to return kicks, why pass on an oppurtunity to put the ball in this guys hands and who knows we might put a little fear into our kickoff opponents. I understand wanting to use your #1 pick but c'mon are we going to develop players or make a serious push for the playoffs? Leodis just isnt making anything happen on kick returns, we have some of the best in the game with Parrish and Mcgee, Now It makes sence not to use Mcgee because he is our best corner, but it makes no sence not to utilize Roscoe #2 Can we leave Marshawn in the game, we all saw this guy fight and claw his way for over 1000 yards last year behind the same shotty ass run blocking we have this year. He earned every yard why cant he see as much action as he can take. I cant believe Fred Jackson is splitting this many reps with him, The only scenario I can come up with is that our Interior blocking is so pittiful the the coaches may think Fred is quicker to the edge than Marshawn. If Marshawn is going to be our starter then he needs to get most all the touches. #3 Lets start Derrick Fine. in the Last two games hes shown he can be as productive as Robert Royal. Both players will make bone head mistakes, Id rather see a rookie screw up and learn from it than see a veteran of several years make keep making mistakes. supposively Robert Royal is a good blocker and a Locker room guy, Well since it isnt a priority to have offensive lineman who are good run blockers it sure should be a priority to have a good blocking tight end. Maybe Royals pregame speeches would mean more if he wasnt such an awful player #4 We have a Rookie named Demetrious Bell, He was considered a "raw" player as I believe he only played like two years of college football but is extremely athletic. Bell played well in the preseason and in helping Kirk Chambers spell Langston Walker as Langston went to Left tackle to replace Jason Peters while on his holdout. Anyway he played pretty well when in, can he play center or guard? we have to be taking applications.

Josh Reed being out with an injury has been crucial, he has been huge on third down this year, since he has been out we havent been able to sustain drives or pick up 2-3 more first downs to get into field goal range. He doesnt make many TDs or big catches to get the press but hes a tuff physical reciever that has comeon big this year.

The biggest problem with this defense is the inability to generate a pass rush without blitzing, teams have figured out that since we blitz so much that the screens and passes to the flats will be wide open. -without Josh Reed we have nobody who can run the short routes and be effective, Hopefully James Hardy develops quicker as of right now he is innefective, perhaps we should give Steven Johnson more time. Maybe Derrick Fine can help as he did look good last week. - the O line could use a road grader or two to upgrade our center and right guard spots. Im not sure why Marshawn is not getting the ball more

Trent had all the time anyone could ask for on that safety, blame him for not finding a reciever or blame the recievers for not getting open. Mcgee has been injured and had a bad game, did you watch the game last weak? Mckelvin was beat all day, and you think Corner is going to make a differance? We turned the ball over on the road in the NFL plain and simple

The Bills are a better team than Miami, buffalo beat themselves with turnovers, penalties, and more turnovers. -

Mike Hart from Michigan was still on the Board when we drafted Xavier Oman, IMO this was very stupid and I wish the braintrust would explain to me there thinking on this one. -

He has also never had a good team to coach, the best QB hes ever had was Jim Miller- a very bad one, he had a great defense in chicago but an aweful offense, in Detroit and Buffalo hes had a horrible Offense and Defense, Its hard to be a great play caller when your team cant execute a basic dive play. he won 7 games last year with his biggest names leaving in free agency, giving him one of the youngest teams in the NFL, and not only that we had the most injury plagued team in the NFL. You can look at statistics all you want but if your not willing to consider what hes had to work with thats incredibly ignorant.
