  1. No one is suggesting they can fix or overhaul the defense in one or even two years.
  2. stand by for an on slaught of attacks from those who believe this is a playoff caliber team; as I stated on another post this team has many holes to fill, not to mention fielding a completely revamped defense. Poor coaching and schemes, horribly play from CBs and LBs, no pass rush, sloppy tacking, and it is not a physical team.
  3. They cannot stop anyone on third down, no pass rush, lousy play by CBs, and sloppy tacklers. And it's still the first half.
  4. Not saying we are not competitive - we sure; as I stated we are a vastly improved team. If we win today against Dallas I will be one happy mofo. But the win does not diminish the fact this team has many holes to fill this off season.
  5. The Bills have improved and have a good nucleus to buid on; they are not yet a playoff contender. - The Defense is still poor and a major disappointment; they cannot stop the run nor get pressure on the opposing QB - Fitz is a great stop gap solution but not the franchise QB needed to go all the way. - Fred Jacklson is the Buffalo Bill of the decade and current heart and soul of the team, howver, he is thirty plus years. - CJ Spiller has yet to prove he is worthy of being a first round pick. - Still need a deep threat. I we finish above .500 or sneak into the playoffs it will considered success - absolutely - but I see the same results as the Jets game.
  6. Build an open air stadium in downtown Buffalo on the waterfront! I love the idea of a late December game with cold gray skies! The Vikings have never been the same since they movede to a domed stadium, take football back to its roots, muddy, snow and the gray December sky.
  7. I have to say that Fred Jackson is one of my favorite all time Bills; great success story, exciting to watch and all Buffalo mind set.
  8. This guy is playing awesome football; definitely a contender for MVP at this point in this young NFL season. Part of the problem during the loss in Cincy was the fact we did not get the ball in this guys hands.
  9. I could not agree more, the Bills Defense is terrible! You cannot give up 400 yards a game and be a contender. Tghis is going to become very evident against the Giants. Bottom line is the Defense is not physical and Eli is going to have a field day.
  10. mcKelvin is a hold over from the losing era of Jauron and poor draft picks. Time to move on!
  11. Got to admit I was wrong, but still cautious. Been a long ten years.
  12. This one is for all of you, no matter where you are in the world. Stay safe and God Bless. Enjoy the big win too.
  13. just returned from a year long deployment to Iraq, know the feeling of getting to see the Bills live on AFN. For all of you deployed I hjope you see a great game with a Bills victory. Nothing better for morale. God Bless and stay safe.
  14. Freddie Jackson is the greatest Bill since the glory days of the nineties! Class act too!
  15. I must admit, at half time I was thinking same old bills.
  16. Howard Kindig number 67; played both offensive and defensive line.
  17. Howard Kindig; played offense and defense from 67 - 72; played for the Dolphins on the 1972 perfect season.
  18. I think we are watching a disaster in the making - remember 1985!
  19. JD Hill played hard nose football with a lot of character. I too am happy he is turning his life around.
  20. Totally agree with all, it is a shame Lou Saban is not on the wall in Buffalo. Cookie I understand wants to get paid for being on the wall. Great point about Cookie in the Hall of Fame, think he is more deserving than Floyd Little.
  21. I travel quite a bit and have to say that the Buffalo Teams of the 90s led by Jim Kelly and the "no huddle" had many fans. Just spent time in a Tampa watering hole and relived a few Bills memories from those days. I think if the Bills ever put a competitive product on the field and get back to the playoffs the support is there to stay in Buffalo. I'm just sold on the off season restructuring of the front office, things could get ugly in 2010.
  22. Kind of agree, I still contend that Schobel is a second team player on a Super Bowl caliber team. As far as Stroud, Ted Washingtton or Smerlas would get the nod over him. The Lee Avans story here in Buffalo is sad. He plays with Kelly and he is a HOF. He is a class act too. I still like Fred Jackson, a character player who would have fit right in with the 90s teams.
  23. How about Walt Patulski, the 1972 first round pick; happy go lucky guy who never made it in the NFL.
