Exactly. Those who are saying "hey, the defense only gave up 16 points in the game" are missing the point. In the first half, our defense stonewalled the Steelers and got a lot of pressure on Roethlisberger; in the second half, the Steelers moved the ball easily and scored pretty much every time they needed to. It was like two entirely different performances and the OP was right to question what went wrong in the second half. The difference in QB pressures was obvious to the naked eye.

Agree with all this. This is the third game in a row, stretching back to the last two playoff games, that the offense was pretty much shut down. I’m kinda done with pass-only, empty backfield football; it doesn’t seem to be sustainable, especially against teams that can generate a pass rush with their front four. And I know it’s only one game, but the gap with KC seems to have widened.

Disagree. We made them look very good. They have a brand new o-line with three rookies and we still couldn’t get to the QB.

Yep, Shurmur is a moron. Not only did the Giants pass on Josh Allen for a running back, they could have traded that pick for a king’s ransom. The Giants are actually putting together a pretty nice team. If they get decent play out of Jones this year, they will definitely surprise some people.

Carolina is going to regret giving McCaffrey that second contract, too, if they aren’t already. Football has changed a little bit since then…
