I think Daboll’s success in NY bodes well for the McDermott coaching tree. If the Bills continue to win, Dorsey will be “one and done” as the Bills’ OC. I think Frazier may get a shot, too…

At the end of the 2020 season, the Colts had a really strong roster; the only reason the Bills beat them in the wildcard game is that we had Josh Allen and they had Philip Rivers (even though Rivers played well in that game). Their decline can be traced directly to giving up a first round draft pick for Carson Wentz, who was literally the worst starting QB in the league in 2020. The Ryan deal was not as bad, but still more of the same. And yes, Reich absolutely deserves a lot of the blame.

As of now, there has never been an NFL quarterback with Josh’s combined running and passing ability. At some point, Josh will start to decline as a running threat, but will remain an elite QB for years after that. I’d say the next 3-4 seasons is the Bills’ window with peak Josh Allen, but their Super Bowl window will remain open for many years after that, with a somewhat less dynamic, but still elite, JA.

Not very generous, calling Hurts borderline top 10. I mean, who’s definitely better right now, besides Allen and Mahomes (and maybe Burrow)?
