    Jackie -as he was known then- tells his version of our 1st League championship. He’d started 2 previous title games with the Chargers but this was his 1st win. We then won the title again the following year and made the title game for a 3rd straight season, losing to -you guessed it, KC..

    For me, Phil Hanson’s deflection and INT sealed the win. It was the best of times.

    A season ending loss at Houston cost us the Division and QB Jim Kelly with a knee sprain. The epic WildCard game comeback avenged the Houston loss followed up by an impressive road win at Pittsburgh in the Division Round. The stage was set for arch enemies squaring off in the Title game in sunny Miami with the winner advancing to the Super Bowl

    Bengals were our nemesis in the 80’s. Their coach, QB and Icky were easy to hate.
