  1. This thread has legs, and I'm starting to believe for good reason. The OP has opened my eyes to the possibility of controlling expected negative events to minimize that events impact on an overall outcome. Perhaps the Bills statisticians should have alerted the coaching staff of a predicted inflection point of rapidly increasing probability of a negative event. The coaching staff could have then determined the best time to take this negative event off the table by simply planning it when they felt it would do the least amount of damage to the season. I take back my previous snarky comment. You can't argue with logic.
  2. That would require our DB's moving off their islands into shark filled water. Sounds risky. Sean?
  3. Did everybody eat tonight? I know Diggs looked like a starving man at a buffet.
  4. Shakespeare couldn't write a response more appropriate. Well done sir.
  5. This. Has a chance to improve when players come back, but there's been a trend of coming up small in big moments. I think they've played reasonably well so far given the injuries and new faces.
  6. He still has a shot to be as good as this guy, and hopefully a bit better value. https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/12456/aaron-maybin
  7. Loud and clear. Time to end the JA experiment. Loud and clear. Time to end the JA experiment.
  8. Jordan Schultz was also first to report McDermott having "The Clap". Definitely legit, but some in this board still questioned that too.
  9. Maybe under those same conditions our pass rushers will be in stealth mode. Trust the process!
  10. I guess we'll have to wait and see. I'm not condemning McDermott, just stating that he needs to either improve his talent evaluation, his defensive system, or both. I witnessed a defense last year that showed the same deficiencies that have held us back in past years. I don't dislike our pics or FA's, so hopefully they'll be put in positions to succeed. Too much has been invested in that side of the ball for the type of performances we've seen. I'm sorry if my opinion frustrates you.
  11. I like the leadership and stability McDermott and Beane have brought, but I also feel this is spot on. The D has been good at times, but never great. Far too much bending and it breaks when needed most. Is it the players, the system, the coaching? The D is Mcdermott's baby and it would be nice to see him own the failures and adapt a bit.
  12. I'd give him a few sets of downs here and there so he stays fresh enough to trade to the Jets for a first rounder in 10 years or so.
  13. I thought everybody eats? Or is that just an offense thing??
