Why take on the challenge of change when you're getting $10M per year to keep doing the same old thing. I'm always wary of leaders that think their "process" is king. Keep following the process until it actually works so you can satisfy your own ego. Sadly McDermott hasn't been a bad leader throughout his tenure, he's just stubborn and stuck on following his own mantra while the league continues to roll on. He can't or won't adapt. If he doesn't have the players to fit his system to a T, he keeps pushing and hoping it'll all click at some point. He should have learned that even if he gets the "right" players, injuries can impact the course of the season drastically. New crew, same tired old plans.
