  1. Issue is he only trusts Diggs, which is a because no one else can really catch. Diggs is double covered = check down. Gabe has a 54% catch rate this season, drops way too many balls, Mackenzie has had issues all year long and Knox is having issues from his loss. The team Need OBJ or a legit #2 ASAP OL has been an issue for years now, OG play is still terrible and RT hasn't been great either
  2. As a leader of the team, he is taking the blame and not calling his players out, whether we like it or not. Davis has a% catch rate this season and that is not going to get it done. I saw another clip out there today where he was clapping his hands together to catch a pass. It is a very Allen and Diggs based offense, Knox is obviously struggling with his loss earlier this season and Mackenzie's one game against the pats appears to be an outlier. WR2 is a very big problem for us... On the interception at the goal line, he didn't see the end This call was trash Davis had one drop early in the game that he should have had also he is not wrong:
  3. tackling is still an issue We now saw why Hamlin is starting over Johnson, who was brutal today. Marlowe need to get going ASAP and Poyer needs to get healthy. Bernard also had a poor game too. Lots of blame to go around here as shown above
  4. I just hope we stay relatively healthy and start to play our best ball in December and KC gets knocked off in the playoffs before us.
  5. OL players don't grow on trees and if anyone had watched the NFL, it is a need for every team with the possible exception of 1 to 2. The ones that would be available via trade will either be due for some serious cash or they are a bottom feeder that is a slight upgrade from your guy in the trash can... I think everyone knows that keeping allen upright in a clean pocket and better run blocking would do absolute miracles for our already great offense
  6. he's oddly enough correct https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/san-francisco-49ers/cap/2023/ Edit: Also FWIW we are ($7million) - yes that is over the projected cap
  7. Don't rule out safety as a trade target either
  8. Agree with what you have said. He needs time and should have some more opportunities as we go forward during the regular season, we also have to watch out for the rookie wall as well. As the playoffs begin and the stakes increase, my desire to see him on the field depends on how well he performs at the pass protection part of the game, cannot afford unnecessary shots on #17 and mental errors from pressure situations creeping up either.
  9. Not sure the Panthers are blowing it, they don't have to tank, Rhule set them up to already suck. Shaq Thompson and other elder players are the ones they will trade. A 26 27 yr old rb who has had some injuries, has a 12m per season cap hit, is simply not a player worth hanging on to either. For DJ or Burns to go, the offers would have to be multiple 1s. They are still young players at positions you will have to replace. These 2 players specifically will still be excellent in 2 to 3 years with the rookie qb they draft at 1 next season...I wouldn't call it a blow up at all. They are actually in a decent spot
  10. There's more to it than just giving cook more catches, pass protection and blocking is a big part of the assignment and if he can't do that well enough yet, he absolutely cannot be on the field any more than he is. If I have to explain why this is the case....
  11. That's what I prefer, but I don't see many of these players being available. OL play is a huge weakness throughout the entire NFL. The guys listed by the OP certainly don't move the needle for us at all. CMC made a degree of sense for us, but certainly not at that price. I do not see NYG trading Barkley either based on their record and him being an FA at the end of the season. That isn't the same as Sammy and Dareus. I think they would try to keep him personally
  12. It was posted after: It's a 2, 3 & 4 this year plus a 5 next year (SF traded their 1 to Miami)
  13. I have wanted a back like CMC for a couple years now, but that is just an insane price to pay (those are our $$$ picks anyways). No clue what SF is thinking here. I'm glad Beane bounced and said I'm out. Here is the thing, we don't have to make a move. I would like to, I want as few holes as possible on our team. I also will gladly block our biggest threat from getting a player they covet as well, even if we don't "need" that player; it keeps them weaker. But holy hell I can't get over this price and the fact he is going to a team that always has injured RBs....
  14. A Jimmy G hailmary! The plus's I see, SF will finish with a better record and the first they gave Miami will be a lower pick, he didn't go to KC and we didn't kill 3 of the middle rounds of our draft
  15. I would have done a 2nd and that's it. If they wanted a 1, they would be paying a crap ton of money. No way I am giving up 2-4 this year and a 5 next year... This next draft should have some real nice RB prospects and I would rather look there for a guy - this price is insane...
