  1. lol we need an LB and I don't want an off ball LB in RD1
  2. Hey - I liked the swap 27 for 34 for Hopkins and grab Downs at 34 and Campbell with our 2nd...
  3. This likely isn't the correct thread for this, but it does echo what you are saying. I heard this from someone on WGR last night who used to be at PFF. When it comes to this draft and other drafts, we have to realize that we will always be in contention with McD, Beane and Allen. The draft should be about grabbing elite talent and traits almost regardless of position and perceived roster holes or strengths. Our view when drafting should be to be able to win 2 to 3 superbowls in a 5 year period, what gets you there is getting the best players you can, even at a perceived strength on the team. If CB this year at 27 is by far the best player available, you draft him, edge etc. You can always move existing players on your roster once and if they are beat out. If one goes down like tre, you aren't dangerously thin at CB all of a sudden. If you need to move on from Morse, you have that ability if we took bpa at 27 and it was a C. You don't pigeon hole yourself by forcing wr. All stuff most everyone on here knows, but I found the viewpoint to win 2 to 3 in 5 years as opposed to just load up for the season, to be a much different view on acquiring the highest level talent you can get. As you said, there are not many elite players on this team....
  4. It's a lot of movement for a split second...It can be done, but it is tougher now than earlier in this thread lol
  5. The issue is if we trade for him, ARZ has to rework the contract before we make the move. When we pull the trigger to trade, we must be able to fit him under the cap, even if we have already agreed to a reworked contract, in order to process the trade he must fit into our cap as his contract stands at the time of the trade - even for the split second...
  6. I wanted Etienne in his class, as at that point I felt we could afford the luxury pick and that it would help Josh and our offense out more. I was wrong, Josh is a push the ball down the field qb, wr2 and beef up the line. I would still like a nice screen game though... Fwiw and i know one of you jerks will pounce on the no first rd 1 rb thing and yeah I'm on that train; to me and especially in a light class like this one, a low rd1 = high rd 2 pick.
  7. Have you actually gone to a store and picked one up yet to see how it feels? I know you gave some general genre's, but is their a specific sound or sounds you are looking for? Ex: Adrian smith and maiden, priest, acdc, gojira, clutch, black label, slipknot? Made in Japan is USA level quality and other countries tend to be hit or miss.
  8. Seriously under-rated player. I saw him at the whiskey in 2019 on a j5 and the creatures tour. I have tons of videos I took that night. Duff McKagan's daughter opened, she was bad, her mom was smoking though, Jared James Nichols was next. The special guests were Corey Taylor, Fred coury, Chavo and Michael Anthony. Boy I miss LA sometimes... Best thing I did was rip put the 300k pots and Gibson pickups on my LP and upgrade to 500k pots and the slash pickups are freaking amazing. From a guitar I was meh on, it's great now. I may pick up another LP or 2 and throw a JB/59 set in it.
  9. The one I called too easy was stand by me
  10. So out of what the 10 that I own... 1.) Charvel model 6 2.) USA black strat with the custom shop Gilmour electronics (had connections at fender for a bit) 3.) Mick Thompson custom shop Mike Shannon made jackson soloist (only like 15 made) 4.) Gibson LP studio with slash pickups 5.) Takamine electric acoustic 6.) ESP e11 mii 7.) jackson ltd wildcard 8.) Evh wolfgang (MIJ) stealth 9.) Evh USA signature 10.) USA charvel San Dimas (series 2) aka telecaster body The EVHs might be the most comfortable guitars I have ever played and they are so stinking versatile and playable. I'm really a jackson and charvel guy and nothing still beats a soloist, but these freaking EVHs are really close. I have toured the fender factory probably 5 times and it's like a kid in a candy store there.
  11. Too easy...chopper You know what they call a quarter pounder with cheese in Paris?
  12. I don't give his reporting more weight than Allbright. Idk who Ben's sources are around the league, but he is the most reliable one of them. That doesn't mean everything he reports will happen, but he isn't a useful mouthpiece
  13. in the end who knows how anything shakes out, I still think Mike Evans might be on the block as well and I'm not sure we are done with WR. I still lead towards a proven commodity at this point....
  14. So as beane says social media is social media - he curiously denied this report though
  15. Beane already said he wasn't scheduled for a visit...
  16. The way he talked about wanting to hold on to it, screamed like someone who has plans on moving his own 3rd in 2024. This ensures he has a 3rd...
  17. After listening to Beane's interview, they are laying in the weeds...and not out on Hopkins. It sounded like he entirely brushed the question on hopkins away and then was like until a player signs or is traded we will be in on it. He only ruled out non-culture fits and non-scheme fits.he had a mini tirade about how only 1 out of 100 calls for trades where they actually happen and a bunch of other stuff. That's jmo. Iirc, obj won't count against a comp pick because he was a ufa before the league new year. I imagine we were the $4 mil team though lol
  18. Bulldog asked sal if they want a wr or they just want to add Hopkins bc he's available and maybe cheap Sal said he has heard from multiple people that they are very high on Harty and sherfield But they aren't going to say no even with obj
