  1. How well do you know Ralph? Were you his dinner guest tonight?
  2. Why not let this season play out, evaluate Trent Edwards after the season instead of projecting possible failure before game 1, and don't project a player who might not even enter this year's draft as a possible pick for the Bills.
  3. Anything less than 11 wins is hate, not love.
  4. Polian once had Bruce Smith followed.
  5. There is no such thing as hell, it's a metaphor for the center of the earth. Hell is not even recognized by all religions.
  6. The Patriots will get off to a fast start because the 1st 3 weeks they have KC at home, Jets on the road & Miami at home. If they lose any one of these games, the end is near, although we might have to wait until the playoffs to write them off. I'd love for the final game to be for the AFC East. Can you imagine the Bills & Pats tied with the final game at the Ralph? It would be pandemonium! I say we're both 11-4 going into that game.
  7. Night games always get less coverage than day games because they are running up against printing deadlines & don't cover them as well. One time I was headed home the day after a night game & got a Rochester D & C in Rochester that had to go to print before the end of the game. I think because most preseason games are at night, they get less coverage.
  8. Because both are nursing injuries and they don't want to be stuck playing Fred Jackson in the 4th quarter trying to hold onto the lead when you have Hamdan around with a much greater chance of succeeding in doing that.
  9. He's writing a book titled "LIVING THE DREAM, what I got to do on my summer vacation."
  10. Most of us got to watch the game.

  12. He's headed to waivers & if he's not claimed, the practice squad. There's no room on the roster for him at the start of this season.
  13. No, he's just someone pandering to the people he described.
  14. See the other thread that this one should be merged with.
  15. If it's really xssports, they went on a thread in the Zone & said they will be on at 7:30.
  16. Things have changed so much since abortion was illegal, many people either are too young to know or have forgotten why there was a push to legalize it. Back when it was illegal, women who had money could travel out of the country and have safe abortions. Women who couldn't afford it played Russian Roulette with their lives, some not surviving an abortion as a result. That's the real reason for the push to legalize abortion-women were dying. Now there's more to the story-back in the days before Roe v Wade, our society would stigmatize both woman & child who were the result of an unmarried pregnancy, this doesn't seem to be as much of an issue these days as it did 40-50 years ago. What was once called a "bastard", is now "the child of a single mother". So the urgency to avoid being ostracized by society is somewhat of a moot point. Also, before the pill, birth control was a lot less effective, another reason the issue is quite different today. Plus there is now the morning after pill. Whenever the issue comes up, I remember the women who either couldn't afford another child or didn't want to be stigmatized and died as a result. I really can't say what the effect would be if there was no place in the USA where abortion was legal. That would be the only true test since if it was legal in a few states, those states would have women seeking abortions going there. Since both society & science have changed so much, the issue is quite different than when the politician from the souther tier cast the deciding vote to make abortion legal in NYS.
  17. There are rumors on other Bills sites that Justin TV/xssports will have the game again. If they do I'll stay home, if there's nothing by 7:45, I'm headed to a sports bar.
  18. Do they suspend you if your estrogen level is too high?
  19. Ken Johnson was the backup QB in 1977. He had started his career in the World Football League in 1974, then signed with the Bills in June 1977. He then went on to play a few years in the CFL after the Bills released him in August 1978. He also played in the USFL. The USFL Guide and Register says "Active for 14 games with Buffalo Bills in 1977; did not play". Fred Besana was the Bills 5th round pick in 1977. He is listed in the Bills media guide as being with the team in 1977. The USFL Guide and Register says "Active for 2 games with Buffalo Bills in 1977; did not play". Besana went on to be the starting QB of the USFL's Oakland Invaders. So there were 3 QBs on the 1977 roster: 1-Joe Ferguson 2-Ken Johnson 3-Fred Besana
  20. Yes, we make it to the Super Bowl. No, Peters reports before opening day. Here's just a peek into the future: JP is with the team in 2010 after getting cut, JP comes back to be our backup. Any more questions? I've got a sports almanac from 2020 that I picked up while getting a ride from Doc Brown.
  21. Donahoe was in negotiations long before he was named on the 10th. I had no doubts that all Ralph did was clear out the Coach before Donahoe became official. Donahoe wanted nothing to do with Wade. If Wade had been Coach on the 10th, he wouldn't have been on the 11th.
  22. You called it, I think you're projecting.
  23. If he doesn't show he doesn't get paid the millions of $ he's under contract to make. It's a lot easier not showing up for camp than it is the regular season. He'll show.
  24. Move that SD @ Buffalo game into the Bills win column.
  25. That really is a myth. All sticking up for Ronnie Jones did was give Ralph an excuse to yank Wade's health insurance & try not to pay him. The real reason Wade got fired-Tom Donahoe came in and wanted his own man. Go back to his quotes before the 2001 season where after he hired Gregg Williams he made some very unflattering quotes about the way the Bills were previously coached. There was no way Donahoe was going to keep Wade. Jones was just a convienient excuse to do what they were going to do anyway.
