  1. As long as he is aggresive I don't care what front we play. If Pettine is a good teacher we might be a good defense from game 1.
  2. This is awesome. Hopefully he can maximize the talent we have on defense, specially LBs. Harris or Scott are not more athletic than Sheppard but they were in position to make plays, more often than not. I want to know if we have something in Moats or White, too. The most important thing, though, is that our guys need a change to be more agressive and mentally tougher.
  3. Where is the thread with Ryan's mediocre rankings?
  4. Sorry Mr. Capaccio, if it is in the interwebs it's irrefutable
  5. Still, not good enough, IMO.
  6. Yeah, I don't know what to think. If you follow the link from the coaches page, there's only Marrone's bio listed.
  7. Check this out http://www.buffalobills.com/team/coaches/nathaniel-hackett/d44495d8-f6b5-410b-8ad0-97cd22f444aa
  8. I don't like him, his defenses are never dominant. Too much bark and no bite.
  9. I don't think so....
  10. I can't really say for sure, but they kept the offensive minded HC theme and that was Nix's original idea when he took over. The NFL is where defenses aren't allowed to defend anymore and QB is the name of the game.
  11. First, desperately, we need a QB, until then we're spinning our wheels.
  12. He strike me as another great DC with no HC material, my guts tells me so, so don't ask me for links.
  13. I don't really have a favorite to win, but I sure know who I don't want to see winning it, the cheating Patriots.
  14. The guy has great tools to work with, he's not a finished product by any means but he's an intriguing prospect. Sometimes he's oblivious of pressure but he can make all the throws necessary. I view him as a poor's man Newton with better off the field persona.
  15. Back when we were about to hire Nix, there was an article (I believe it was on SI, still searching) about up and coming young GMs working for winning franchises. One of those names was Doug Whaley. Take it FWIW.
  16. Shannahan was on the hot seat with Grossman and Beck, he's back to being great with RGIII. Gailey was shorsighted, put all the money on red #14 and lost.
  17. Never liked him and never will. I don't see him as HC material.
  18. I would like him as HC but I'm not sold on that wide 9 defense. It's porous and weak.
  19. I would like the new HC to decide if Levitre will be functional with the offense he wants to run. Byrd thrived in zone and though not perfect in man to man coverage he can adapt to any system.
  20. Yes, really. No GM is infalible. I hated that him and Gailey went exclusively the Fitz route without a serious plan B, but I always try to be objective with my opinion, he has done many things the right way. Troupe over Gronk, what player had red flags medically that year? TJ Graham over Wilson? I believe they could have drafted him, it would have been a slam dunk, but it is easy to say this now. Aaron Williams, so far he has been a big failure, I would have loved for Nix to draft Kaepernick with this pick, it made too much sense for Gailey's offense. Nix built a good core of players but faied to bring in a QB to develop and now he might have to pay it with his job. I would understand if he's fired but I would be glad if we keep him.
  21. Forgot about Tyler Wilson, I like him too.
  22. Rookie, I like Landry Jones, EJ Manuel and Glennon. Ask Fitz to take a paycut and accept a demotion, run wild with Spiller and Fred. Get a good DC, we have talent to be better defensively.
  23. No, I like Gailey and NIx, but I don't see Gailey firing Wanny and benching Fitz, so I understand if he's fired. NIx I want to keep, the guy can recognize talent for the most part and has good connections where most of the talent comes from.
  24. I don't want Nix fired, but he has to realize that the decision of going with Fitz and not bringing a QB to develop in Chan's system was the wrong choice. With a young QB like Kaepernick, Wilson or Cousins they would have had a fourth year to sell to the owner and fans.
  25. Romo would be awesome, he's a great QB,
