  1. Doubtful. I have known some very good gluttons for punishment in my life, but he is among the most willing of punching bags.
  2. I don't usually make it through posts this long but I'm going to give this a long careful read (but shorter reply) over the weekend as I'm genuinely interested in this topic and your point of view.
  3. In about a month after Trump undoes a few more things it will be as though Barry sat on his hands for 8 years with frequent breaks to golf, campaign and fundraise.
  4. Yup, they have to figure out how they can still give away coverage to the lower income folks that got it through Obamacare and create a climate where those that buy insurance have more choices and less expensive choices. Not easy which is why I think they should take their time and get input from more true experts.
  5. Yes because people cannot resist being influenced by what Trump says and therefore cannot be held accountable for their actions due to that influence.
  6. Please please please elect Sally Boynton Brown as the next DNC chair. She makes Ellison look like an every American's centrist.
  7. The sane among us are quite enjoying the liberal meltdown. Madonna, Ashley, Michael Moore and these crowds of idiots willing to make fools of themselves with fake issues. When is "your side" going to figure out that debt and entitlements, the economy/tax reform, illegal immigration, national security, fixing the f-ed up health care law are the big glaring problems that the federal government mostly owns and should be priorities. All the other crap is just noise.
  8. You must be near Bourbonnais. People that exhibit that stereotype are the easiest to negotiate with. Simply take your product or service off the table if they won't pay your price. Hold your ground don't move an inch. As long as you're willing to walk away from the deal they cave every time.
  9. Time for the January Chicago update. http://heyjackass.com/ Yes you do but that's better than living among the liberal dispicables. American Indian or India Indian?
  10. So the media is surprised he doesn't wave to them? He could just flip them the bird.
  11. I don't care if we pay for the wall, the cameras. the drones or the moat. Whatever it takes. Taxing their goods fine with me. Put up a gofundme page. I'll write a check.
  12. I don't think anyone believes that a wall alone solves the problem but defending a border that is mostly walled off is certainly easier than one that isn't. Significantly reducing the flow of people into this country from the south will require a variety of tactics and cooperation from Mexico. If nothing else the wall threat tells them we're serious about solving the problem. There will be a time for nice with them. Pissing them off is a good start as we don't get respect from their government. Who defends Mexico if they were to be attacked? Who is facilitating the passage of central Americans into our country? Who allows the drug cartel to set up shop in areas near our border and does nothing about it? Who essentially encourages their own citizens to leave and come here? And how badly has the Mexican government bungled their awesome economic opportunity given their huge supply of low cost labor, their huge stockpiles of natural resources and their proximity to the largest market in the world?
  13. That is exactly my belief, but look forward to Meathead's next post on this.
  14. Biggest myth ever that securing our border or granting amnesty will have a significant impact on hispanic vote. See Reagan and Bush 1 election stats. Mark Levin made an awesome presentation on this filled with data. Wish I could link it here. And who gives a **** what some partisan dem from Brownsville Mexico, I mean Texas, thinks. He'll reconsider once he realizes how much hurt we can put on his country economically. This man is in a terribly weak bargaining position.
  15. I ask people this question and usually don't get an answer or an answer that makes sense. What civil rights changes do people of color want and what changes should the federal government make to achieve these changes?
  16. It's almost 20 years of ineptitude by the Bills, Jets and Dolphins that has given NE so much opportunity.
  17. Clay dries out after a year or two and then you can't do **** with it.
  18. I think I mentioned removing incentives (no jobs for those here outside of the immigration system) as necessary and yes that would be a big deterrent compared to now. A wall in many areas makes it harder for people to enter in those areas and reduces the effort to enforce so many miles of what is an open border now. That and some technology should reduce the size of the force needed to enforce entry. Current border patrol from TX to CA is about 21K agents now. If agent costs $75K per year with bennies and equipment (average over 50 years) and we can employ 3000 less of those than we would otherwise due to a wall or other devices being utilized, in 50 years we save $11 billion which is half the cost of the wall. Not a great return on the investment but added security might be worth it. As for Trump, he always starts a negotiation with a very high bar position. Could be that the wall plan is just a way to get everyone to the bargaining table and we end up with cooperation from Mexico, more border security through some means not necessarily a 1000 mile wall, tighter employment verification, deported alien criminals and orderly legal immigration and just a trickle of illegal immigration. Mexico pays by Trump telling Americans to stop vacationing there which is good advice. Been there 4 times, will never go back.
  19. The lead chip eating explains a lot . Right now drug cartels occupy areas and buildings along the Arizona and Texas borders. They have armed personnel in some areas and both U.S. and Mexican governments know exactly where they are and nothing is done. Of course the Mexican government is on the payroll. Occasionally a shot or two is fired. We don't shoot back, yet.
  20. OK, you're earned the fool merit badge. Wear it proud. One thing isn't going to solve the problem. Wall + technology + real border enforcement + speedy deportations + Coast Guard enforcement + no work without visa + Mexican government caving into pressure to also enforce will all but stop it. That and we have issues on the Canadian border as well. Not the influx of people just coming for a "better life" but some bad apples coming over from the north.
  21. Anyone like yourself that doesn't see the merits of securing our southern border by whatever means necessary is an absolute fool.
  22. I'm putting a filter on anything Trumps says and watching only what gets done. Makes the evaluation a lot easier.
  23. Nope, sorry I am correct about illegals registering to vote in many states. How many is tough to say but likely a big number as it's been going on for many years. See Washington post chart down the page. http://www.whiteoutpress.com/articles/2014/q4/dems-show-illegal-immigrants-which-states-they-can-vote/ My main source of information is not this article. It's my very close association with the producer of 3 documentary movies on the subject of illegal immigration.
