  1. Fair enough! Maybe (hopefully) this offseason is when Beane takes a homerun swing to help take Josh to that next level. I don't think OBJ would have fit in with the culture McDermott is trying to build here, but I'd have liked one of Sanders of DJax. It's just my gut, but I really think Beane wants to get bigger at WR, and none of those guys can offer that.
  2. I also wonder, since this deal isn't finalized, if Houston leaked this to drive other teams to offer more.
  3. Not accusatory here or anything, just genuinely curious. Can you share some other trades for offensive weapons that occurred that you'd have liked to see Beane and co. pursue?
  4. This is definitely a "what the *****" type reaction from Stills, just as it is from everyone else in the NFL.
  5. After looking at the terms of the trade I'm not so sure BOB is smart enough to not trade him within the conference lol.
  6. What in the world is Houston doing?! Wish we had beat that offer.
  7. I don't have a ton of faith in Wallace, Norman was pretty bad last season, and I don't expect Kevin Johnson to return.
  8. I hope we're able to bring him back at a reasonable rate, but I'm not expecting it. I've always appreciated the energy he brought to the team and fans. If he leaves, someone else will have to step up in that regard.
  9. Same. My big hope was Haloti Ngata over Donte Whitner ?
  10. Can someone please explain this in simple terms/what this indicates? Is the main value of this that we don't have him on the books for 2021-22? Why not just cut him?
  11. Quentin Nelson plays for the Colts. Are you thinking of someone else?
  12. I was thinking recently about the last few Bills offseasons and couldn't really remember too many re-signings, so I decided to look more into it. Here's the list of all the players we've re-signed (besides futures contracts) since 2015, per the Bills' transactions page. It feels good to finally have homegrown talent on this team that's worth re-signing, because for the last 5+ years it's been pretty barren. 2019 Jordan Phillips, 1-year Deon Lacey, 1-year 2018 n/a 2017 Joe Banyard, 1-year (8 weeks) Brandon Tate, 1-year Colton Schmidt, 2 years Ramon Humber, 1-year Colt Anderson, 1-year 2016 Richie Incognito, 3 years 2015 Marcus Easley, 1-year Jerry Hughes, 5 years
  13. Yes, and Juszcyzk was the team's first choice but he signed a large contract with SF. You can just tell Juszczyk is the more dynamic player and offers more explosiveness. And the stats across DiMarco's 8 year career and Juszczyk's 7 years indicate that. theory. DiMarco has never had more than 13 receptions in a season, whereas Juszczyk has never had less than 19 (and has averaged 35+ over the last few years). As you noted, DiMarco played under Shanahan while in Atlanta. Instead of signing his FB, Shanahan instead signed Juszczyk, who has been doing really well in SF's offense.
  14. We barely use DiMarco because he doesn't add a whole lot to this offense. If you can acquire a FB that adds versatility and can run/catch, then yeah, I say you go for him.
  15. He's been fine this year, playing in all 16 games. A lot of guys don't want to take the cart. He got onto it on the sidelines, though.
  16. Let's not forget that the talent at WR/TE last year was sub-par to say the least. Among the group Allen had to work with last year: 3 are no longer in the NFL (Kelvin Benjamin, Andre Holmes, and Jeremy Kerley) 1 was traded for a 5th rounder 2 years from now (Zay Jones) 1 is now on our practice squad (Ray Ray McCloud) Throw in Charles Clay, Jason Croom, and Logan Thomas at TE, and I think it's a bit early to label the # of a drops as a coaching problem as opposed to a talent problem last year.
  17. Only if he gets past all the the teams ahead of them in the waiver order, which I think is probably unlikely at this point.
  18. Special teams will be big. We need to win the battle of field position to both pin the Steelers deep in their end and shorten the field as much as possible for our offense.
  19. STHs at the beginning of the season commit to reserving tickets and say they'll pay for the ticket if the team has a home playoff game. Pretty straightforward and doesn't seem strange to me. They want to have a good handle on how many tickets will actually be up for grabs.
  20. It's idiotic by Harbaugh to keep Jackson in this game.
  21. If I remember correctly, he was up and jogging on the sidelines after this. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see him sit for a few weeks. The training staff was very liberal with the time off for Singeltary's hamstring injury early in the season.
