  1. I know that if it was a member of my family that was raped, the rapist would get the death penalty. I can't imagine what the parents of one of the victims would be feeling, but I don't think I could restrain myself from going after the rapist myself. I know that is not the "right" response and you should leave justice to the courts.
  2. Alaska is at the top of my list for dream vacations.
  3. Heading 13 hours north to fish for walleye with my dad on July 4th for a week. No phones, computers, electricity or people! Nothing but beer, cigars, fishing and relaxation. We are in the Julien cabin. http://www.wetetnagami.com/en/index.php
  4. Bloomberg is one of the few "candidates" for VP that would prevent me from voting for McCain.
  5. Only if they are fat.
  6. You pay the same amount as a guy with 4 heart attacks and a 52 inch waistband.
  7. I sell Health Insurance and we usually just refer people to Blue Cross Blue Shield because we have such a horrible selection in NY. Being a community rated state really limits the options. I'm licensed in all states and NY is the worst. We can work with GHI, but the plans suck.
  8. Kelly is one of the few ex-players who has an agreement with the union to produce jerseys. I tried to order an ex-player authentic 2 years ago and got the same BS. My Dad called up and tried to order the same player jersey for me and must have had a sales rep that was new because they made the jersey and shipped it out. It was not authentic though, it was the replica version that you can get any name and # printed on. I would keep trying, maybe you will get a rep that does not know who Chandler is!
  9. I don't know why, but that really made me laugh! I can picture a bunch of guys sitting awkwardly after a good play not sure how to celebrate.
  10. Judging by his size, I would assume a lot of that electricity goes to the oven and refrigerators.
  11. What exactly did you do in "the industry" to make you feel that hunting with a modern compound bow is easy?
  12. You certainly hit the nail on the head there!
  13. Spoken like someone who has never hunted. How much sport is there in having someone else kill your food for you?
  14. You got me. I'm so embarrassed that I'm scared of being the victim of violent crime. You call me names for being aware of the fact (scared apparently) that I could be the victim of a crime and talk about how slim the chances are, and then you bring up even less likely crime scenarios to support your point. I won't be attacked, but if I am it will by an army trained assasin and my weapon will be useless? We can't all be virtual tough guys like you. I also lock my doors and avoid the dark alleys that you speak of because I'm a "wuss and a scaredy cat". There is actually a difference between a "scaredy cat" and realizing that bad things can happen and to prepare for them. I'm not going to change your ignorant views. After all, you can find stories on the web about gun accidents and assume every gun owner is the same. Should I link to car accidents and point out how stupid you are to drive? It makes about as much sense. As far as a criminal getting my gun, they would have to figure out how to move my 400 pound safe that is bolted to the floor. I'm sure you can find a link that shows gun owners leave their guns on a table near the front door or in their baby's cribs.
  15. There are no children in our house, but I would certainly take extra precautions if there were. I have a safe near the bed that can be opened with a punched in code.
  16. I don't think my wife is going to shoot either one of us while playing with a firearm in the house, but thanks for your concern.
  17. I've been driving for 17 years and never needed my seatbelt or airbag either. Why does it upset you that someone chooses to protect themselves with a gun? It does not affect you one bit. Actually it makes you safer because criminals don't know who is willing to protect themselves. You resort to name calling and insults while sitting safely behind your keyboard. You cite one scenario and are naive enough to think that it covers all arguments for self defense. I can tell you that I will not be in a position to let some guy walk up behind me on the street close enough to stick a knife or gun in my back. Even though the odds are slim that I will ever be robbed or attacked, I choose to be prepared and willing to do whatever is necessary to defend my life and those of my family. Maybe your just a guy who gets a stiffy from insulting and mocking people's views when you don't have to face them in person.
  18. I have also been told that if you have a pistol permit and are carrying legally at the time of a traffic stop, you hand your permit to the officer with your license. It is a very responsible and calm way to inform the officer that you are legally armed. I have heard horror stories about people informing an officer that they have a gun and being drawn on and put on the pavement.
  19. I'm sure your "bravery" will protect you from a criminal with a gun or knife.
  20. They may not want to get into a fight with a possible drug addict due to the distinct possibility of blood transfer. I know that doesn't answer your protocol question.
  21. We started taking that shortcut last year and it saved a lot of time and hassle.
  22. Yep, I was going by the info in the story. I guess they probably won't top 57,000.
  23. Have they set aside enough seats for season ticket customers to surpass the old record? I think they would need to sell a little more than 53,000.
