  1. I hope things work out for you. Even one a year is better than none. I used to sit in sect I row 6, don't remember the seat, but at my age I've gone to wearing a name badge! LOL.
  2. I feel the same way. Maybe Jones is a stud on ST???? He certainly didn't impress me as a wide out.
  3. Not surprised with 4 of the 5, but keeping Jones over Jackson has me scratching my head. They must have liked what they saw on Special Teams as his performance as a wide out seemed substandard at best.
  4. Thanks, Jack. I haven't lived in the Buffalo area for over 30 years but I'll always be a Buffalonian. Here's one for you Tim, and may god bless us, with our dream fulfilled, in the near future. Go BILL'S All I can say is be patient. My wife didn't get for a long while, as she isn't a sports fan, but she came around eventually. She still isn't a fan but she is beginning to understand how I feel. My twin boys have followed the tradition so that bonded her alittle more. Good luck. PS I'll be in 313 row 6 seat 18 as always. How about you?
  5. It is a shame. He played on some "BAD" BILLS teams, and left just as OJ was showing signs he could be the star the team drafted. Costa was also one of my favorites. I loved that catch where he laid out to pull the pass. Out standing!
  6. I feel Brown is the most likely cut, as he is a work in progress. Fitz and Brohm are both more polished. With injuries to TE and RF last year, BB was forced into action. This scenario could easily happen again. If either Fitz or Brohm are moved, that could open the door for a start by Brown. I'm not sure he is in any way near ready for this. Also as 7th rounder interest will not be too high if waived, allowing him to move to the PS where he can continue to develope. But thats just MHO. What do you all think?
  7. It would not be unreasonable to believe he bought tickets for himself and his family. It's also possible he planned to return to Buffalo, after his career ended, so why give up the seats.? He only played one more year, and tickets back then were not that expensive. As someone else posted it has been fun doing the research. I was shocked to discover that Paul Costa averaged over 16.0 per catch over his career and over 19 as a rookie. Pretty impressive for a tight end in todays world!
  8. That has been my main concern as well. He has looked very good the last two games. I hope it continues. He needs to show he can read a 3-4 D.
  9. Die Hard sorry to see you go. I used to go to the Rock pile with my aunt and uncle when I could. I bought my 1st seasons ticket in the fall of 67, so you must have been a rookie. Unless of course you came in a trade. My neighbor and I stood in line for tickets to the AFC championship on a cold January day in 67 and I was hooked for good. Hope all goes well for you, and the Bills win the big one for a change. Although I still think the 65 team could have kicked the snot out of anything the NFL could bring. GO BILLS!
  10. I have been very unimpressed with TE previously, but gave him a pass against Washington because of the poor line play. That being said, I am going to expect him to contunue to elevate his game on Sept 12th, against the Dolphins. I'm hoping the addition of Spiller to the back field will create more space for Edwards execute.
  11. I agree. He has had some bumps in the road so far, but he seems to be progressing well. He has had his share of positives as well. I like his hustle and hitting. I hope this is a sign of things to come.
  12. Not sure where you got your data? NFL.com has each of them with two TD's if I read it correctly.
  13. It should be about football, but many on this board can't get beyond Lynch's off field transgressions. I certainly don't condone any of them but will continue to argue the merits he brings to the team talent wise, and he is also very popular in the locker room. The Bills have a great situation with 3 quality RB's with different skill sets and we should be over joyed by the fact. Unfortunately many posters, as well as the media are compelled to try to elevate Fred to a level above Marshawn to justify trading him. Fortunately for the rest of us, that decision isn't theirs to make. Can't we all just get along????
  14. Seriously folks. It's his second year in the league, his first at a new position, and his first year was setback by his hold out. Try a little patience. Have you ever heard the saying "Rome Wasn't Built in a Day"???? there is some logic there we could all draw from.
  15. Hate to break it to you buy TD's is what the game is all about. The yards look nice but no one won a game by leading it in statistics. Also, freddies yard/ return was not all that significant. If anyone returned Kickoffs as often as he did his yard total would be high but look at the average. That is more of a reflection of how bad our defense was. I like FJ, he has a role, but he is not and will not ever be a star.
  16. Didn't Lynch have the same OC??? He had the same number of TD's on 1/2 the touches. 120 to 237. I like Freddy alot. He is very versatile. But unfortunatly, Freddy is a nice change of pace but he will never be a star.
  17. You're playing my song PDaDdy. For all you folks out there in love with Freddy, Marshawn get's the ball in the endzone, and unless they have changed the game recently, it's points that determine the winner, not yards. And by the way, so much has been made of Jacksons 1000 yard season, but if you do the math that comes to a 62.5 YPG average. That standard was a little different during a 14 game schedule, but not quite the benchmark anymore. I am lovin CJ though. Hope it continues when the games count.
  18. I am afraid I have to dissagree with you on Revis. He just redid a contract that he hired a "professional" agent to broker for him. Now he has a big year and all of a sudden the Jets should throw away his deal to give him more money. No! Because next year he will want more. He signed a deal and I feel he should play it out. You give a great reason for the Jets not to redo a deal. Say he signs a new deal for 30 mil guaranteed and blows out a knee and what do the Jets get, a 30 Mil dollar hole in thier budget and a DB with a bad wheel. Sorry I can't bleed for him. And one other thing, I could live pretty well on the bonus money he has collected already. It's all about greed and jealousy.
  19. I posted earlier in the year that I wasn't so sure our D backfield would be the strong point everyone was expecting it to be, because of the difference's in technique needed for man to man. I'm hoping they prove me wrong when we start scheming for teams when it all counts
  20. This kid battles back from a catastrophic injury and kicks Arse. If he isn't your hero then who is? I Just love his mean streak. Glad to see him back on the field. Anyone know of a way to clone him?
  21. He has battled injuries at Cinci, and Tampa and has been somewhat of a head case through his career. With the addition of TO I can't say i'm surprised.
  22. Nice post. I thought all along the D will be our biggest hurdle, at least early on. They didn't seem to do much scheme wise but we're still giving up way too much on the ground.
  23. You're confusing the issue with logic, and common sense. How dare you.
  24. I'm with you. He was inexperienced to begin with, and this gives them an opportunity to evaluate other talent on the roster. This is a make or break year for a couple of wide outs, and this will give them the chance to force the issue one way or the other.
