Instability The Bills Biggest Nemesis !!
Max997 replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
you dont keep bad coaches just to have stability how did the 49ers or Broncos do this year with new coaches? how has stability worked out for the Chargers or Eagles recently? its not about keeping a head coach or any coach its about hiring the right head coach in the first place -
Will the Bills be looking for a replacement for Moorman?
Max997 replied to Damond Talbot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought Moorman had a good bounce back year after what I thought was a down year the year before -
same thing we learned about the Broncos coaching staff all year...they design their game plan around their players strength instead of trying to force their players into a game plan they simply are not right for its that simple

Another blown call by the refs on what should hv been a turnover

Possible Free Agent, and draft targets
Max997 replied to mob16151's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
if we are dealing in a fantasy world which is what this is bc the Bills are not signing any of those players Id prefer Colston over Meachem who I like but Bills would be better off getting a true #1 WR The Bills continue to prove to me that they dont put any value on the TE position at all so dont see them even entertaining Bennett you can get solid CB's in the mid to later rounds in the draft, no reason to go out and spend money on a free agent -
Who Thinks Denver Can Beat Pittsburgh This Week?

I think Denver is going to beat Pitt this weekend -
Do We Really Have That Many Holes
Max997 replied to Rob's House's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
you describing either one of them as awesome says a lot Pears is a backup on any other team but the Bills defending the line bc they didnt give up sacks isnt a good argument when the majority of their pass attempts are 2 step drop and quick passes the line isnt as good as some people think and needs a legit LT, if you dont see it then you dont see it -
Do We Really Have That Many Holes
Max997 replied to Rob's House's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Really? the only position on defense thaat they dont need is DT the only position on offense they dont need is RB OT is a gaping hole that most fans just dont want to admit or are delusional enough to think is a strength WR is a huge need and an even bigger need if they dont resign Stevie they could use a new head coach as well but that wont happen until next offseason unfortunately -
Chan runs a college spread offense and is way too obsessed with the pass and the 5 wide empty backfield set someone else made a very good point...why does he throw deep in short yardage situations and throw short in long yardage situations? doesnt make sense their strength is being able to run and with this defense common sense would be to run the ball to control the clock and the game but not chan, he would rather coach like he is playing madden

they shouldnt be thinking CB in the early rounds anyway

Do you feel the Bills are heading in the right direction?
Max997 replied to southernbill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
no i dont and dont think they have all year....do you honestly think Chan is a run first coach? how many times have we seen the offense go 3 and out especially early in the game? dont you think a team with as bad a defense as this starting a below average QB and WR group should be hire then 9th in attempts per game? chan is pass happy and hasnt adjusted at all since the league caught on to what he was doing -
isnt Lynch in the final year of his deal? ironic he is in the best shape and having the best year of his career this year

Do you feel the Bills are heading in the right direction?
Max997 replied to southernbill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
why wouldnt Jackson be back? unless you think he gets traded bc he has two years left on his deal the 2011 draft was light years better then the 2010 draft so in that respect yeah they improved I have no confidence in Chan at this point. His play calling is brutal and sticking with a wide open passing offense when they should be concentrating on running the ball and controling the clock especially with this defense is a huge concern. What kind of coach doesnt adjust to what his team does best or try and limit their weaknesses? -
I believe Fred has 2 years left on his deal so I dont think he will be walking after next year I dont mind having both players but Chan has to be more run oriented and find a way to get both of them enough touches to be productive Its dumb to be so pass heavy when their two best players on offense are running backs. The offense should revolve around both of them with Spiller playing a little more of the Sproles role in the offense I wouldnt be opposed to trading Fred though bc lets face it, he is getting older wants a big contract and prob wont be around if when the Bills ever become relevant again Choice is a more then capable backup and if they could get a decent pick for Fred i wouldnt have a problem with it...i dont see that happening though although the situation is similar its also a lot different...Travis Henry was a talented idiot and TD was more concerned about being the talk of the draft then anything else which is why he drafted McGahee. I still cant believe Mularky asked McGahee to add weight and be more of a power back

Mike Pereira: Gruden is a “blowhard”
Max997 replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gruden isnt leaving the booth, he floats these rumors every year just to feed his ego I wish he would go back to coaching though bc that Monday night crew is horrible...maybe he can take Tirico with him -
would like to see the Bills use Spiller like that next year in combination with Fred...no reason they both cant get touches
-
Hester was drafted as a CB but from what I remember not a really good one but I could be wrong....they decided to move him to offense to get the ball in his hands more because of what he was able to do on returns which ironically seemed to take away a little from his playmaking ability as a returner
-
I like Rodgers as well I cant call McKelvin a bust but I dont think he is a starter in the NFL...i think he can be a decent nickel or dime back which obviously is not what you expect from a top 15 pick he is still a good returner though and should be their primary returner on kicks and punts next year the teams that Welker hasnt put up big numbers against all did the same thing...they leave a defender in the middle to cover the crossing pattern and knock him around a bit...i dont know why the bills just let him run underneath all game long...leave a LB there to knock him on his azz
-
his injuries were flukes and are certainly not what would normally be described as injury prone Bell on the other hand is injury prone been saying all year that I would like to see the Bills draft a legit LT that they can put there for 10 years
-
why? he has had one good year in his career and 3 teams have now given up on him so something is going on there it will never happen but i would love to see the Bills go after Colston in the offseason
