I think Schiano is a good coach and appears to have a coaching style that would translate to the NFL. Rutgers had a bounce back year in 2011 after a terrible 2010 and he did bring the program back from no where but in saying all that this looks like a massive reach for the Bucs I guess this is better then hiring another re-tread coach like Jauron though

how can anyone feel bad for this guy when all he does is blame everyone else for his problems the article mentions his houses but also states he never spent lavishly which i disagree with...this is a guy that knocked on someones door in Moorestown NJ after becoming an Eagle and offered the homwowners more then the house was worth when it wasnt even on the market i could be wrong but i dont think he ever sold that house even though he hasnt lived there for how many years? and if he is broke how is he becoming part owner of an indoor football league?

Im surprised people still dont know that most of Merrimans contract is guaranteed so cutting him wont save them much so he is most likely on the team next year McGee, Spencer Johnson and Dwan Edwards are def gone as is at least one other veteran since this team seems to get rid of a surprise player every year. what has this team done in recent years to make anyone think they will be major players in free agency? dont expect a splash, maybe one or two signings for mid level free agents at best
