This team hasn't looked remotely ready to play in either game which is what concerns me the most The LBs have looked awful. Sheppard is out of position way too much which is pretty much how he looked last year They look like exactly what they are, a young team with a lot of new players

Carrington and Batten didn't do anything before this year so don't know why you would give them passes bc of the change to 4-3 This was an awful draft after Spiller with too many reaches and small school guys. I hated the Troup pick almost as much as I hated the Hardy pick that so many on here loved...you know who you are People can bring up Modrak all they want but in the end it was Buddy's call Still can't believe how long Modrak was kept around

I really liked the VY signing and think he will one day be the Bills starting QB I know the issues but he is still only 28, has a strong arm, can run very well and has been a starter with a winning record I'm not calling for this or saying when just that he will be the Bills starter at some point

That was my guess as well. He isn't a DE or OLB in a 4-3 so was it worth keeping him for the 10-12 plays he would actually play over a young guy that could step in and play every down if needed I thought anything they would get from him this season was a bonus but that he would be on the team if he was close to healthy just bc of the threat of him rushing the passer opposite Mario. There are a lot of delusional ppl on here who thought he should start at DE or OLB since he was supposedly healthy which was just ridiculous And we all know he is going to end up with the Pats now

its sports, guys get big deals and its Philly which is a big market so all of their teams have the money Halladay and Lee both took less money to play with the Phillies then they could have got from other teams so you are off base on them Weber did get a ridiculous offer but they did so in hopes that it wouldnt be matched Bell's contract is really a one year deal I was never a fan of Bell's and was glad to see him go. He thought he was a lot better then he actually is then add in all of the talk of how the Eagles got another starting LT from the Bills and yeah, i am getting a little enjoyment out of this Even the Phillies blogger I follow is ripping him thats how bad he played

my concerns are with the QB, head coach, and the wide receivers but im not taking too much from what they were doing in this game i do however think Chan falls in love with the passing game when the offense should revolve around its beter players and thats Jackson and Spiller

I find it interesting and comical actually that D.Bell has already been demoted to second team in Philly after only one preseason. Of course this could be meaningless and a motivational tactic but he was terrible in his first game and has been getting ripped since

He will never be anything more then a role player I don't get how anyone ever thought he could be an every down DE in the NFL I prayed for someone to draft him before the Bills picked that year

Wow, a highlight show that actually shows highlights...what a concept. Now we get to see maybe 3 plays from each game then have 19 people talk about it Early 90's was a great time for football and not just bc of the Bills success There were a lot of good players on those Bills teams but Thurman was on another level

Where do I start with this? Just bc a back averages 5 ypc doesn't mean they will get that on 3rd and short and I can't imagine you think that's the case I didn't get the Brad Smith signing but there is a threat of a pass with him which can be just enough to increase the odds of converting on 3rd n short I am not a fan of the wildcat n would rather they just lineup and play their offense instead of a gimmick offense that takes your QB out of he equation Brad is an ok 4th WR that can pay QB in an emergency and come in and get a key first down if needed which is why he will be on the team but his roster spot will have ZERO impact on Levitre or Byrd. Why you would assume it even might is just dumb

It was his fault bc they reached for a player to fill a need...Troup was a bad pick even without the bad back Having a good draft in 2011 doesn't make up for having a bad one the year before, that's not how it works

Merriman is FAR from the most important player on this team. He is a complementary player and in reality anything the Bills get from him is a bonus
