  1. It's actually a legal issue. I'm pretty sure it's technically copyright infringement if the site allows copying and pasting of entire articles on here. Damn the man... but don't hate on Fan in Chicago
  2. Maybe we can have a Lil' Jon remake, or some sort of dance remix... that would be phat! Keep it on the low down
  3. I would try to get in touch with Pinto Ken through this message board (or boards.buffalobills.com), and meet up with him before heading to Gillette. I tailgated with him there a few years ago, and he's always a great time and a generous host. We met at some restaurant parking lot before the game and had a group of 10-15 of us that drove to Gillette together. Hopefully some of the more seasoned vets on this board will be able to point out how to get in touch with him. I know there are some members that have his contact info. EDIT: I assume you mean you are actually going to the game... if you aren't actually going to the game, go to the Harp in downtown Boston. Its the best Bills bar around.
  4. I just hope that Jacobs would be a better owner for the Bills than he was for the Bruins. He was notorious in Boston for being cheap and not spending for players even though they played in one of the biggest markets in the country for the sport. He's stepped it up recently, but I know that most Bruins fans hate the guy and can't wait for him to sell.
  5. Check this site... http://members.tripod.com/bem3/bem3.html I can't go to it from work, but i found it in an email that I traded with a guy for the 1988 NY Jets game where we took down the goal posts. THat was one of my earliest childhood memories, being at that game. When I traded with him, he sent me 2 DVD's, so he only requested I send him 4 DVD's and the necessary S/H. Pretty good guy, hopefully this might help. Oh... and if Bruce has the game, and he can't claim the ticket reward, I think it's only fair I get it as a referral!
  6. Please give a synopsis for those of us not able to listen!!!
  7. Can we just get this guy off the board... he's done nothing but promote his own website here. He shouldn't be soliciting something that is so ridiculous for his own gain.
  8. My good friend, Thank you for the post Manuel. I should put you in contact with my business partner from Nigeria, Alda Achman. He is the accountant of a very wealthy businessman from Zimbabwae and he approached me with a very fortunate opportunity. Which was strange because I never had heard from him before. However, he said that I could get very rich by helping him transfer a sum of $10.5M into the US, and all I needed to do was provide him with $1000 and my bank information to allow for the transfer. Anyways, your post reminded me of Mr. Achman's email. He may be able to help you as he is helping me. His email address is ThisIsNotAScamEvenThoughItSoundsLikeOne@hotmail.com. Best of luck good sir, UnionAMG
  9. I bet if it gets to that point, we'd use the franchise tag on him keep his rights and work out an extension.. Hopefully it doesnt get to that point.
  10. Right... in that situation it is possible for the offense to benefit from the time run-off. And I believe that rule is intended to run off 10 sec if the offense false starts when it is driving and trying to score with teh time running out. Just goes to show how complicated this game has become. Sometimes it really makes me wonder how it has become so popular and how casual fans can even stand it.
  11. I was thinking the same thing... it seems that in a situation like this, if the review had determined that a man was downed inbounds and the clock should have continued to run, they should take 5 or 10 seconds off the clock as they do for some penalties with under 2min left. However, I dont think there is a rule like that. So say they would have ruled the Jones lateral legal, and then the next JAX player down by contact with 3 sec left. They could have lined up and spiked the ball as soon as the ref placed it after the review. Seems like that could be a tough situation for a team down the road at some point. Because a reviewed play shouldn't lead to the offense getting an extra play, when if they didnt review it the clock would have ran out. Did that make sense?
  12. Right call based on the situation... THE BETTER QUESTION: what was the 2nd down play call on that drive with a playaction rollout by Edwards? Was that another short yardage playaction pass (like the one that worked successfully just before that), or was it a naked bootleg? In either situation, I think it was a poor call that added 10 yards to the field goal attempt. NExt time in that situation, I hope the Bills run it 3 times up the middle with Lynch. If he gets the 1st the game is over, if he doesnt we kick a 34 yarder instead of the 44 yarder, with the same amount of time on the clock. I was scratching my head over that call. Any ideas? Not to nitpick, bc the rest of the game was called beautifully... just wondering.
  13. Looks like you guys won!!! http://www.dailygazette.com/weblogs/schott...-bills-jaguars/ DAMN THE MAN... POWER TO THE PEOPLE!
  14. Settle down, its all about the tiebreakers. Division Record then Conference Record. Jets 1-0 Div and 1-0 Conf > Pats 0-0 Div and 1-0 Conf > Bills 0-0 Div and 0-0 Conf. Although I know ESPN screws us in their coverage, this is not a case of that.
  15. Any jersey embroidering store in the Buffalo area should be able to handle this request. I'm sure someone outside of Buffalo could as well but you'd have to make sure they get the name coloring and font correct, as Buffalo stores already know what they need to do. It will prob cost anywhere from 15-45 dollars (screen printing versus more expensive stitching?). Amherst area Sorrentino's... Lewiston try Stuart Sports... out of town you're on your own. I bought a blank Sabres jersey a few years ago and had Miller embroidered on at Stuarts, and they did a great job.
  16. [enable sarcasm] JEREMY BLOOM!!! Is this the guy who was the olympic skier? He's a sick athlete and could really help us on our weak WR core! [/end sarcasm]
  17. Way to make the leap and just go for it. I had season tix when I lived in Boston 3 years ago and never regretted the long drive for games. Of course the price of gas has doubled since then, so I'm not sure i'd be so eager to do it now. Good luck finding a carpool partner.
  18. Wonder how long this thing stays up for. I'm guessing it'll be down by 8pm tonight.
  19. I agree on all accounts... I wish they got rid of the Blue pants altogether. The white pants look much classier with both Home/Away uniforms.
  20. The networking/online gaming of the PS3 is such a pain in the a$$. I'm pretty good with comps and hooking things up to the internet... but it took me forever to get my friends PS3 working. The 360 was almost a plug and play installation.
  21. I loved it... the reaction to the Peters Holdout has officially become more annoying than the Holdout itself.
  22. The newsletter archive can always be accessed here Here's the last email I got from the Bills Backers of Chowder "Are you ready for some football? The Bills get back on the field in actual game action (well, as "actual" as the preseason can be!) this Saturday night, when they visit the Redskins. Saturday's game will be broadcast live on the NFL network starting at 7 pm. As per our pre-season game policy, we cannot guarantee that the Harp will have the game on. Yes, they do have the NFL Network, but on Saturday nights the music/DJ starts at 8 pm, so there won't be sound. That said, there will be a Backers contingent at the Sports Depot in Allston on Saturday night. You can find directions at their website, www.sportsdepotboston.com. The NFL Network will be broadcasting each Bills preseason game, either live or on tape delay. Here's the schedule: Bills at Redskins -- Live: Saturday August 9, 7:00 pm; Tape Delay Monday, August 11, 4:00 am Steelers at Bills in Toronto -- Tape Delay: Saturday August 16, 12:00 midnight and 9:00 am; Tuesday August 19, 9:00 am Bills at Colts -- Live: Sunday, August 24, 8:00 pm; Tape Delay: Tuesday, August 26, 3:30 pm; Wednesday, August 27, 6:00 am Lions at Bills -- Tape Delay: Saturday, August 30, 5:00 am and Sunday, August 31, 4:00 am."
  23. Technically that has always been the policy. Though I bet it would take multiple offenses of someone else using your tix getting booted before they gave you the boot. If it happens once, it should be okay.
