  1. I was thinking the same thing. I got four stores in and I was ready to jump in front of a bus...
  2. I find out DC Tom has any influence on the soaring gas and oil prices, someone will be on their way to shiv the mofo...
  3. Don't forget Trent's uncanny ability to wave his arms frantically and fake audible so well that Rich Gannon picked it up after two plays...
  4. Back to your old no-schitt "but it was so much worse in the past" argument, huh EiI?
  5. Not defending Huffington, but her column was just repeating what the NY Post's Page Six was reporting. I got the link elsewhere, read the story and didn't post it right away, so when I wanted to add it to the thread I had to go back and Google it, and Huffington's was the first search result.
  6. You're just a DC Tom apologist...
  7. Find where I said that.
  8. I can't talk about the game after a tough loss without getting ticked off. Add in an idiot fan from another team running his mouth and I'm likely to be calling the wifey for bail money...
  9. As the captured general in Black Hawk Down says - "Miami, my friend, is not Cuba."
  10. I usually can't stand wearing my Bills stuff after a loss or a tough game. Not because I'm ashamed of them, but because the loss still stings the next day and I don't want to talk about it or get any crap from anyone...
  11. I went to the 2004 Orange Bowl there (FSU - Miami) and felt pretty much the same thing - we stayed about 15 minutes away from the stadium, so it was a nice "in-between" area between the crappy area around the stadium and the nicer beachfront areas -- but I couldn't believe how crappy the neighborhoods around the stadium were, how dirty and poor everything looked. I don't think I'd go back, especially not for a night game -- unless it was for a Bills Super Bowl or a NCAA National Championship...
  12. You're wasting your time...you'll never get a straight answer... Besides, of course the credibility of the victim's perception should be challenged. In theory, if she was hit by a car, she would be rolling around on the pavement in some sort of distress and trying to figure out what happened. Not to mention the fact that according to some Marshawn sped up, blasted her head on, and yelled out "Beast Mode, Baby!" as he sped off while cackling maniacally.
  13. This is pretty much what I think, as well.
  14. Good. This article talked about how Chris Matthews and Olbermann were both jockeying for the position before Tim was laid to rest, so I'm glad neither got it. Tools.
  15. If you look up about six posts you'll see the answer...
  16. On a serious note, try going to a good, family-owned jewelry shop. You can usually find something a little more unique and not as expensive. My wife and I looked at a half-dozen chain stores before going to Whitenight's Jewelers on Buffalo Ave in Niagara Falls. She found a setting she loved, we got a very good price on it and they took excellent care of us.
  17. Damn oil prices are hurting the diamond market now...
  18. And the march towards ESPN 8: The Ocho continues....
  19. I wonder if these guys who were supposedly "not grasping the playbook" were simply confused as to what the hell Fairchild was doing...
  20. I don't care if it's Trent, JP or Hamdan -- I'll take a gunslinger, a guy with bad mechanics, or even someone whose throwing motion looks like a monkey humping a football if he wins regularly, wins a Super Bowl and puts up those kind of numbers throughout his career.
  21. No worries. /LSI
  22. Maybe the ump smelled bad and the strike zone was the final "strike" (no pun intended) for the catcher, so he decided to do it on his own. I don't know. I just look at the catcher's actions and reactions and they just don't add up to their story.
  23. I don't know about the pitcher, I can't really tell from his reaction whether he knew what was going on. Maybe the catcher is completely to blame, called the fastball and dropped at the last second. But the catcher's actions scream that it was done purposely to me, because you can see him flashe his glove up for a split second before he drops to his knees. If they truly got crossed up as they claim - he called curveball and the pitcher threw a fastball - the catcher's reaction should be totally different. You would see him stab his glove at the ball as it goes by, not drop to his knees for a ball that is over his head. Then again, considering all the witnesses was talking about how the pitcher and his SS brother were pissing and moaning all game about the ump's strike zone, it isn't a stretch to think that he would be in on it.
  24. My lawyers have instructed me to not respond at this time. /marshawn
