  1. Sorry VA, but it sounds like a load of BS to me. There's no news of that anywhere other than in this thread.
  2. So you're saying he's a horrible person?
  3. Chidi was always a strange dude.
  4. In my opinion, your job as a manager is to put people in position to succeed. Your job is to make their job easier - not the other way around. Not many people like interviewing. Not many people are good at it. Your job in the interview is to allow the person to convince you that they are good at what they do, qualified for the job, and you should hire them. Amazingly, some very talented people are not good at convincing people of this in an interview. An easy way to get to the meat of what someone can do in an interview is to lead someone down a path to a point where they can articulate the information you want to know. For example, instead of starting with a question like, "Tell me about a situation where you had to deal with a difficult person," you can start by asking them about the types of projects they worked on. When you know about a few projects, you can lead them to that question as you learn about their roles on the project. It's kind of like trying to get a girl to go home with you. You don't ask them to come home and get nekkid immediately, you need to finesse it a bit more.
  5. bills can still sign him off their practice squad if they want.
  6. That would be a good answer as well. I wonder if he was sucking those toads from south america that make you trip out for a while. Maybe that was his problem! Rockpile - you're a genious!
  7. Gameplan isn't installed until Wednesday. But I'm sure they'd find his knowledge of plays interesting.
  8. I hope the answer wasn't that they wanted to go in a "different direction." That's a stock BS answer. It tells us nothing, and at this point with this team we deserve to know a bit more about it. I'd expect him to say something like this: "Bobby is a great guy and a good player. We just felt that his downfield blocking wasn't what we needed in our current scheme. Additionally, we didn't feel that he had a good grasp of the playbook at this point in the season, which caused him to make some mistakes. We're sorry things didn't work out with him, and we're sure he'll find a productive role on another team." Did he say something like that, or was it the same BS "Different direction" thing?
  9. I have to agree here. Not stupid to get rid of him, but stupid to get rid of him without getting anything in return. Of course, we probably don't know the whole story. Unless he did something bad (like missing meetings, screwing Donahoe's daughter, etc), I don't understand the reasoning behind it. Maybe we'll find out more from someone's inside sources.
  10. Absolutely. I hope it's a trade. Even if it's for a kicker or draft pick or something. Hell, even a few cheerleaders would be nice, not that there's anything wrong with our current ones. I'm confused by Shaw. He's made some clutch plays over the past two years, but has done some dumb stuff like run the wrong route or get hit in the back with the ball when he should be catching it. I guess I don't know enough about the pass routes to know if he's doing the right thing. He has good hands and decent speed, so maybe that's what has kept him on the team.
  11. Westside! Man, where the hell have you been? Garbage Plates are calling you, my friend.
  12. You should wash it, then air dry it at Nick Tahous for 48 hours. It will be all better.
  13. We all know Fletcher made a few dumb penalties a few weeks ago. He had a bad game. Many people here said he should be benched. The key thing here is what Fletcher did about it. Fletcher came out and had a monster of a game against the Jets. He was all over the place, even running down Moss from behind. This is an example others need to look at. In particular: 1. Jonas Jennings 2. Pierson Prelaou These guys played very poorly. They need to pull a Fletcher an play out of their heads on Sunday.
  14. Not that I know of, but it looks like I have two buttholes now.
  15. Yeah, right. He'll fire him in the middle of this season. Right. Not gonna happen. Ralph may be pissed, but he isn't a reactionary moron.
  16. I think the 2000 draft was clearly the worst. Clearly. However, MW is starting to play well. Other than that, 2002 ain't looking too good, either. Looking back at drafts and saying "what if" is a useless exersize, anyway. Most teams can do that, even if they had a decent draft.
  17. You gotta spread the blame around. The offense has been very flat for most of the game. I doubt they can get us down in FG range.
  18. I told you. Bills can't stop them on 3rd down. They suck.
