  1. I really think people are grasping for straws on this Schiavo thing by comparing any situation they percieve as similar to hers. She was DEAD. She couldn't think. Her brain was only capable of controlling her heart and most basic of bodily functions. Compare that to this guy, who was quite a bit more higher functioning than that.
  2. She coudln't be offered that opportunity. She had a completely different situation. The only thing left was her cortex, wich controlled the most basic of her lifesigns. He was higher functioning, and had different brain signs. Completely different. I'm all for giving someone a chance, but Schiavo was completely dead.
  3. Umm, there's a huge difference here. Schiavo lost all function with the exception of her cerebral cortex. This guy didn't.
  4. It is his business, though, isn't it?
  5. If you're that into a band's music, why is it nuts to seek something out that makes you happy? That ain't nuts. Maybe you just have your priorities straight.
  6. I don't know why he was cut. Why did we get rid of Parker? Everyone here said he sucked, but then he went on to play pretty darn well as his career progressed.
  7. Leroy is actually much closer to Rochester than Buffalo.
  8. Donahoe gives gifts to the entire WNY community!
  9. You won't hear any confidence from this poster regarding Lindell. None. There's a reason the coaches don't trust him to win games for them. The two positions that are under pressure to win games for a team are QB and Kicker. We've done something about the QB that couldn't carry the team on his shoulders, but not the kicker. This is a concern.
  10. The president's energy policy is pure crap, perhaps with the exception of wanting more nuke power. He can try to polish up his crappy policy by having a press conference, but sh-- will always smell like sh--.
  11. Similar to what Donahoe did with Losman, you mean? Oh yeah. I forgot that Donahoe sucks.
  12. Maybe at face value. But the message he sends to the rest of the NFL by being a jerk hurts his value. He sits and he's screwed. Donahoe knows this, and holds all the cards.
  13. He can't sit. If he sits the year he is still property of the Bills next year, and any team that wants to sign him has to get his rights from the Bills. The Bills hold the cards here, not Henry.
  14. Ah! You stole some songs off my IPOD, eh? Love the housemartins, The Smiths, etc. However, I'm more of a Wilco fan than Uncle Tupelo, but I still like Tupelo.
  15. Stop with the logic, will you? Sheesh.
  16. In the same vein, "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain."
  17. You are backtracking you little wussie! Out of last year's pro bowl roster, only 6 are 4th round and below. Only six! Of those six, two were drafted by donahoe. Do you know what percentage that is? Let me clue you in. ONE THIRD of the pro bowl players on last year's roster who were drafted below the 3rd round were drafted by Tom Donahoe! That means that there is no GM in the entire NFL who was better. So not only is your theory about Donahoe being a poor drafter incorrect, it is actually the opposite. Tom Donahoe is the best GM in the NFL at drafting Pro-Bowl players below the 3rd round. You may admit that you are a fool now. At the very least, a real man would admit that he is wrong. Facts tell me that you are.
  18. Let the B word-slapping continue. So-Cal, you are offically Alaska Darin's B word. You should put that under your avatar.
  19. That's exactly what I'm talking about. Opinions in a vacum. I'm surprised you keep coming back for more, given the royal bitchslap you've been dealt here in the past.
  20. Whatever. It's easy to take a thoughtless opinion that matches your own thoughtless opinion and say "Ouch!"
  21. NO, but opinions based on bullcrap do. You don't realize that in all your criticism you present an obviously lopsided view of reality. Donahoe has made some mistakes - show me a GM who hasn't -- but he's also done some damn smart things. And I think the good outweighs the bad. If you don't take the good with the bad and evaluate it as a whole -- which you and your anti-Donahoe nazis continually do, it's difficult to have a rational discussion. End of story.
  22. That drives me friggin nuts. Because of the lunatic environmentalists and their anti-nuke stance, we've ended up having to build coal-burning power plants, which are friggin FILTHY! The stupidity of some of these idiots is astounding. The argument will end up being wind power, which is incredibly expensive and ineficcient, not to mention how much land it takes up. Ugh. Crazy stuff.
  23. You've been fooled. Do some research regarding just how hydrogen will be produced. You'll be amazed. (hint - by using gobs of fossil fuels). I at first thought hydrogen was the best solution, but until they come up with a way to isolate hydrogen without using fossil fuels, GW's agenda is clear.
  24. XTC - Skylarking
  25. Agreed. The technology is proven, efficient, inexpensive, and clean. Much better for the environment than those damn coal-burning plants that produce acid rain.
