  1. If they really want to stand in solidarity, they'd accuse their gym teacher of molesting them.
  2. It's a function of Manichaeistic political belief. If you cast politics as an ultimate struggle between good and evil, then nothing is prohibited. That - the political struggle between absolute good and absolute evil - is the basic dynamic of the French Revolution, the Russian Revolution, the Khmer Rouge, the Holocaust... They're not good examples for baskin to be following. Trump's twitter idiocy is probably at a saturation point - everyone has an opinion, no one's changing it. But close. It is electoral politics. Democrats are hoping to control the Senate in November, and keep that seat vacant until 2021 for President Warren's nomination. Once this is resolved, however it's resolved, you'll never hear another thing about these women. Because no one cares about the accusations, just the politics.
  3. But you'll oppose him by any means necessary. That is sociopathic behavior.
  4. He who fights with Oompa-Loompas should be careful lest he thereby become an Oompa-Loompa. And if thou gaze long at a Cheetoh Dust Golem, the Cheetoh Dust Golem will also gaze into thee.
  5. Did I say "forgot?" No, I said "doesn't want to." She's doing everything in her power to avoid an investigation. Ask yourself why that is...
  6. And those rules are being used to silence her. As a victim of rape, she has the right to testify on her own terms. I'm not making any of this up. These statements have already been made in some form. Like I've said...this is artfully constructed. If not the ultimate expression of the Cult of Heroic Victimhood, it's certainly a penultimate one.
  7. Exactly. And she doesn't want to file a criminal complaint for a criminal matter, either. She doesn't want an investigation or hearing at all. Ask yourself why that is? (Hint: it's not "because she's lying.")
  8. This is where the Democrats come back and say "She won't testify to independent counsel, only to Senators." As they have already done previously.
  9. Yes...Senate Republicans. Democrats have been stalling as much as they possibly can - "She's anonymous, she won't testify. She will testify, but not until the FBI investigates. She will testify, but she can't fly to DC. Here's her list of demands for testifying. She'll testify, but no senators can ask her questions, but she'll only take questions from senators." Ask yourself why that is?
  10. I've seen the RateMyProfessor reviews. A significant portion of what I saw were made after her accusations went public.
  11. For starters, there was actual gathering of evidence. And testimony. And intent to investigate, no matter how dishonestly.
  12. Well SHE'LL never be a Supreme Court Justice...
  13. CNN headline: Kavanaugh slams 'smears,' says he won't abandon his nomination Note the "it's not really true" single quotes. Honest reporting there...
  14. Want one of mine? I can spare 3rd, he's pretty useless.
  15. Some random nut job who believes he's protecting women by preventing a serial rapist from taking the bench. Avenatti will make millions off the GoFundMe campaign for their defense.
  16. Yeah, that was funny... Do you have minions, like me?
  17. Or using testimony from Iraqi generals to create an intel report on WMDs that becomes the basis for media reports that are quoted in testimony by Iraqi generals... (Which is, in fact, exactly what happened.)
  18. Well, that's really quick turn around, posting an article about a guy being fired before you even find out he's fired.
  19. I would be entirely unsurprised to find out Trump summoned Rosenstein just to troll the media.
  20. That jumped out at me from the New Yorker story: ALL the "corroborating evidence" and "witnesses" were people who heard it from other people. I.e. hearsay. That's like me corroborating Ford's accusation by saying I heard about the accusation from Feinstein.
  21. That, and not coming forward for years, and not telling anyone else, and no one else knowing, are common in sexual assault cases. They're also common in fake accusations. They're basically non-indicators. So's rape, which is why we now convict on accusation alone. Makes sense we should do the same for defamation, libel, and slander.
  22. He'll regress at some point. I mean, he'll have to. He can't look better every week. He has to have a down week at some point. That's not negativity as much as it is pointing out to our overreactive histrionic crowd: it's going to happen, it's normal, don't wet your pants over it when it does.
  23. Let's be honest...who here has ever known anyone who owned a boat that wasn't a ****ty person? They'd have a better chance if they took these accusations and filed CRIMINAL charges based on them. Again, the fact that they're only pursuing administrative solutions is telling.
  24. No, we're not. Baskin is far too certain he's a saint, and the rest of us dregs, for him to melt down over it. You'd have to break that delusion first, and he's too irrational to question it.
