greer was part of a secondary that let moss and co destroy us. our biggest problem last year was when we went against 4 wide the 3rd and 4th guys were wide open all day and we'd give up conversions on 3rd and long. if we have 4 guys who can cover we can stop that and blitz when WE WANT TO not when we sneak the blitz in.

likes it been said above by some solid posters: NE friggen torched us last year. we have 2 probowlers on our DL now, we've upgraded DT and DE this offseason. we've improved 2/3rds of our LBs from last season. 5 tds in one game. that's what moss did to us. we need guys who can cover because we had some chumps. if we have this now showed up we can challange NE. we can blitz 6 guys putting lbs up the A gaps in brady's face now that we have guys who can cover some. it all counts guys. i'd understand being mad if we didn't go out and sign a ton of big guys in the past 2 offseasons, but we did.

a raw talented sudden guy off the edge is perfect. he will be in our rotation and come in as a spark for our passrush (like hargrove was supposed to). with aaron and co matching up against opponents lines this kid has a chance to come in beside stroud and make an impact on an over matched tired oline.

have you guys seen the names of the wr's leodis has shut down? this kid is a monster cb. with one of our outstanding safeties over top we are going to see qb's stare down a covered guy and then get sacked.

i think this guy can be donte hall good. plays rough and makes plays with a chip on his shoulder, but isn't such a jerk. i was wanting drc, thinking no way does leodis get out of the top 10.

he got over his shoulder well. kid is raw power speed and talent -- exactly what we need. consider him a bigger more explosive less suspended hargrove. we now have 3 DEs, 3DTs, and two guys that can go inside or outside.

bill, you've become a self parody. i honestly suspect you are a chubby chaser. how can you insist on a guard when our O line just gave up the fewest sacks in team history, with jp the disaster and a rook qb no less?!?!?!?! our sack total plummeted with the exact same line once we list 2 LBs and a top corner. we've got those back now (poz, mitchel, mclovin at corner) and just now we added a solid raw talent at DE. we can now cover and get after the qb better. we also grabbed two stud DTs, that will obv help our upfront push and run D. so our D just got a turbo charge, and you want to complain about o line? we still have 4 picks left too.

what i really like is our matchups with new england. they lost some secondary and haven't replaced it at all. our o line is pretty solid against them, we can run IMO with marshawn. now after hardy is on our team we can have him sky out over their little secondary and evans and parrish can just be matchup problems all day with evans getting big pressure on them. also we now have corners who can cover moss and welker.

and if true to form 50% of their guys bust out, they MIGHT end up replacing allen. just being a devil's advocate, but srsly, a lot of these top guys will bust. i think gholston is the first to burst!

clearly you are insane. the best cb on the board at number 11 and you are concerned that we didn't do enough for our pass d (also consider the 2 good DTs we signed and the big upgrade at WLB along with getting healthier). should we draft a kicker to help our run game?

I LOOK AT ALL THE HIGHLIGHTS COMING INTO THE DRAFT!!! bottom line is troy played a tough schede and this kid was expected not to get out of the top 7. hands down best corner (i liked drc, thought leodis would be gone). corners (next to RBs) are the fastest impacting rooks in the nfl.

does anyone here have a problem with him as a player? i'm not talking about people that just don't think corners should get drafted (that's just laughable) but i mean who think he isn't good enough? this guy was a monster all year at corner against some studs. troy is where future probowlers on the D go to learn nfl football. lastly, jauron was a great DB and has an eye for DBs. that's why he let clements walk, got whitner, and that's why he went with leodis. this guy will be our day 1 best corner and we have absolutely no weakness on D. we can cover up to 3 wideouts from base, can blitz if we want, and have a secondary that brings the wood. now that we have some studs in the guts and some real linebackers who get after it, i like our D

the guys here who just think corners aren't football players really must be touched. mcgee can do great against teams' 2nd guy. mckelvin is a friggen stud, number one guy in the draft in the secondary. troy played a monster schedule and mckelvin dominated. 16th game, pats at bills. that game could decide who wins the division, and will be huge for us. we now have a guy who might be able to cover moss. we've got friggen studs all over our D now.

i agree duder. there are 2 or 3 more qbs, 2 more RBs, 3 more O linemen, maybe 3 more CBs who will all go before the 2nd or 3rd wr is gone. imo we played this well and migth have our guy fall to us in the 2nd.
