  1. Oh, I'm not assuming anything about Green Bay. It just makes no sense that a lot of teams were interested, but none had someone pick up the phone and make a call. Why am I starting to seem like a Bills' PR person? Because I'm questioning a news article that is, in fact, questionable?
  2. He was mine for a while. I've switched, and I'm hoping for Luck now.
  3. Luck > Mallett > Locker.
  4. I have a problem with the first item, but that's about it. I doubt the people in front of you were "covered" in cheese and beer (if they were, they should have talked to an usher), and I know that much more than half of the stadium is not near section 108 (and I don't really care about two girls who were stupid enough to get into a fight, either). And that was not all you were asking; you were asking for the game to be the perfect environment for your nieces. It will not be the perfect environment for your nieces.
  5. Look, I'm not one of the drunken idiots, but I don't understand why people think it's a God-given right to take their children everywhere. Sport is good; so is music. Kids enjoy both. But NFL games and rock concerts are places where grown-ups go to blow off some steam. It's our turf. (By our, I mean grown-up, not drunk.) Take the kids to a Bandits game or a UB game instead, or understand that you are bringing your children into a grown-up environment where they will hear foul language, and unfortunately, encounter drunken idiots. whateverdude, cmmon sense doesn't need to be printed on tickets, and the mission statement comment is just stupid. Look, I agree with your stance on the garbage, but with all the rest of the complaints, it sounds like an NFL game is not the place for you to be; 72,000 people are not going to change their behaviors to suit you. (Or me, which is one reason why I don't go to many games.)
  6. NFL games are not for children. Just because a sport is involved doesn't mean that it has to be a kid-friendly environment.
  7. Not off of the cans, they didn't.
  8. 40,000 cans and bottles? NO way. I'll bet that the most ambitious/creative of them make in the $200 range (that's still 4,000 cans and bottles--over 160 cases--to transport), though.
  9. I doubt it too. Makes no sense at all.
  10. He could be eighteen or twenty. Honestly, who the hell understands/watches football before the age of eight, or nine, or ten, other than kids who play little loop? My first REAL Bills memories are of the 1983 and 1984 teams (so ugly, I know), and I was 11 and 12 then.
  11. Wow. I didn't know that part. But it checks out.
  12. It was Snyder who tried to move the team in the first instance, not Brown (to this day, I try not to spend a dime in Snyder's Hyatt on Main St.), and I believe it was to Florida, not San Diego, to which he first tried to move the team. Interestingly, the Braves played a series of games in Toronto to try to broaden the fan base before moving. Brown then got control and actually ADDED talent (Malone) before giving up. And of course, in effect, he didn't move the existing Braves team to San Diego (and then LA); he moved the Celtics. He swapped the entire Braves team for the entire Celts team before the move. I do not think, though, that this is what Wilson is up to. He may not care if the team stays (personally, I think he would prefer that it does stay), but he definitely doesn't care if it goes--he's not doing anything to try to help a move.
  13. Wasn't the cheats' strategy for a while to avoid first-round picks and to stockpile second-round picks? I seem to remember this. Maybe the memory is flawed.
  14. I don't think so. If anything, he hasn't gone Vikings enough. (Just having some fun. I know the mistake was addressed already.)
  15. Agreed on all points.
  16. "fair value" was a choice. the "sky is the limit" that you wrote about also was a choice. why is that retarded? i went with "fair value," why not. it is obviously rebuilding time, and Lee will be past his prime by the time the team is rebuilt.
  17. Everyone needs to memorize this. It's freaking academic.
  18. Two years ago, the Bills were 3-0, and the Chiefs, 0-3. Because of ownership?
  19. Spiller's first game was pretty awesome, too. So was Troup's. I'll bet that this point was made before this post.
  20. Exactly. You'd have to think that Gronk would be starting.
  21. Always loved that. It was the best TD celebration I ever have seen, and ever will see. Just flip it to the backjudge and jog to the sidelines. That has to piss off the opponent more than any stand-at-midfield/TD dance/Lambeau leap ever would.
  22. There would have been one timeout left. Still, the only move is to kick that field goal, once the refs determined it was fourth down at the end of the first half. You have to bet on your defense to not allow a long drive in 20 seconds. I can't believe that the two posters who think differently are sober/sane.
  23. I thought it was hilarious. And it cost the team nothing in the long run.
