  1. I was on the Mallett situation early. I mean, in September, I wanted the Bills to get this guy in the worst way--I even thought he was better than Luck (I was wrong). The game against Alabama made me doubt him a bit, and the rest of the season didn't help. All said, I wouldn't mind if the Bills took him, but I'd greatly prefer that they take a D-line stud if possible, in the first round. I think there's a pretty good chance that Mallett will last to the early second, and if not, well, there certainly are enough other holes to fill this year. And I won't go apeshit angry if they do take Mallett in the first, either.
  2. Before correction, the entry for Denver was also about Denver, although it was different than the Tebow one that now is there. This was not a transposition. And the moron would be the person who made the error, not the person who noticed it.
  3. Not because they have the Bills at 30--no one thinks they are that bad anymore--but more so because of the explanation: "QB Tim Tebow ran well (78 yards, one TD on eight carries), but struggled passing (8-of-16 for 138 yards) in his first NFL start. Who would have guessed? Key Injuries: C Geoff Hangartner (knee), WR Lee Evans (ankle)." http://www.tsn.ca/fantasy_news/rankings/nfl/ At least they were aware enough to know that Hangartner and Evans play for Buffalo and are injured.
  4. So are the Bills. That game meant everything to a lot of us, and for good reason. Hey, I hope Moats knocks Brady on his ass a few times, but at the end of the day, it's all about the Dolphins, if it's not about a Super Bowl run. And if you think it "hasn't been since perhaps the 70s and 80s," well, I'm betting you're a little young. Remember Jimmy with the Flutie Flakes? Hell, remember last weekend? It was awesome because it was Miami. The week earlier, it was the Browns, and no one cared.
  5. It was in another thread earlier today, wasn't it? Still, it's very cool. I like it.
  6. I think they could. I mean, the Bills had them beaten last year, until ...
  7. Quote from another website: I hope Rex comes out in front of this and doesn't try to run from it. Just say, "Yes, we're a couple of swinging foot fetishists. We love it. There's nothing to be ashamed of. I bust a nut on her feet every night. What are you squares doing?"
  8. Quite possibly, but (1) KD isn't the media, (2) I'm not a pro athlete, and (3) given what happened in the threads on Sunday, I am trying not to run afoul of the mods.
  9. Several threads about this on Sunday. The mods closed down each one. Cablelady, who knows the Johnson family personally, says no way, and I'd trust her. I'll bet this isn't going to last long.
  10. A good stiff-arm would be to the shoulder of the defender. That would make it tough for the defender to maneuver like you suggest. There is nothing illegal about dragging a ball-carrier to the ground using his arm, though, and I think you'll see that a few sacks each year are accomplished that way.
  11. This thread had something to it when PTR started it, and it was an intelligent discussion for a little while. Now, it's a classic TSW clash of idiocy.
  12. What are you agreeing with? And do you mean "presence?" That's what makes him a more attractive trade...Gotta see what the no-names do for the last two first, though.
  13. 1. It is too early to tell whether Lee is missed. 2. Those of you who think that Lee is a bad or lazy receiver are mistaken. I'm calling for a trade (IF the no-names continue to impress), but that's because Evans is GOOD, and can bring much-needed value in return, not because he's bad.
  14. I thought the Fins did sell this game out. At least according to this: http://the506.com/sports/?tag=2010-week-15
  15. I'm not there yet. But if I see the same stuff from the no-names for the next two games, I'll tell you this: The Bills will improve the team by trading Evans for a good draft pick. The improvement won't be next year, it will be 2012 or 2013, when it actually matters because the other pieces will be in place. This team will not be a Super Bowl contender with Evans or without him next year. But with the right moves, 2013 is a different story--and who knows what Evans's abilities will be by then?
  16. I absolutely love the fact that the Bills eliminated Miami from playoff contention. I LOVE it.
  17. It's definitely not a "getting rid of" that I'm proposing, just to be clear. I'm talking about trading him for real value, only if another team would provide real value, as part of the rebuilding process. My concern is that by the time the Bills are good enough for Lee to make a difference, he's almost too old to make a difference. He may be just starting to wane as the Bills just start to get really, really good. And I wouldn't do a thing unless the Bills' nonames absolutely shine these last three weeks.
  18. Assuming for the hell of it that they can get it done, what do you do with respect to Lee? Do you trade him? (I'd strongly consider it if the deal was right--this team is 2-3 years away from being a real contender even if all the right moves are made.)
  19. That's so not the point of what she did. Is there no end to cynicism?
  20. No, they're not. They're agreeing with each other, but saying different things.
  21. Nah, it's complete. It's too complete. The rule might have worked against our guys today, but there's no good alternative, as far as I can tell.
