  1. I had the XM "walkman" receiver to listen to baseball (Detroit Tigers on the rise baby!) but the reception was terrible. I had to sit outside on my deck and hold the little antenna up in the air and face a certain direction. In my house there was no reception. I ended up returning it cause it was a pain and it was $300. Hopefully the Sirius one is better, or else they work out the kinks in the next year or so.
  2. Never too early...scroll past the preseason for week 1. I think I also like Denver. Can't wait for this action to start up... http://www.sportsrumble.com/odds/nfl.htm
  3. Still ripe over that loss, as is the whole team. Besides, a little (or a lot) of Drew bashing never hurt anybody. Gotta get it all out of your system before the JP second-guessing can begin! I agree with his points though; I was in San Fran for the Bills second-last game last year, and they were yucking it up on the sidelines at the end of the game. They thought they were a damn good team. Pittsburgh showed them what happens when you walk onto the field and you're flat. If there was one game they should have been over-the-top fired up for, it was the Steelers. So I think the loss put them in their place, and forced a change not only in Drew, but in attitude. Plus, players realize the first four games can break a season.
  4. The suspects were reportedly seen fleeing and hopping a fence into Dolphins training camp.
  5. Willis loves Shelton and talks him up every chance he gets. I believe last year he gave Shelton the ball after his first NFL touchdown. That says something.
  6. The fix is definately in on the trotters. I love when the jockey is cracking the whip and yanking on the reins at the same time! Another good bet is the last day of racing in a month, find the jock who hasn't won yet....needs to pay the bills....the other guys will hit the brakes for him.
  7. I agree with Fake Fat, this guy did a great job- he made a lot of players rich. Of course he was going to take the fall for this debacle, but any hockey player over the last ten years has been banking because of him. He did vastly underestimate the owners' committment to this lockout, though.
  8. Just consider the fans-- When the Bills fans storm the field, they try to tear down the goalposts. When the Dolphins fans storm the field, they try to snort the goalline!!!
  9. D'oh!!! Just read on ESPN that Afleet Alex got injured today and will miss the Travers.
  10. Ahhh, the greatest time of year- sun is shining, teams are in training camp, and the football season is gearing up. But to pass the time until the opener, there is nothing better than heading to the track in Saratoga. I get there at least once a year, and usually four or five times I make the drive from Buffalo. If you've never been, there is not a better place to be in August. You can take your family, your girlfriend, or your crew of degenerate buddies and have an equally good time. The track is a jewel, and the town is sweet- good restaurants and excellent bars. I'm heading there this weekend (the summer meet opened yesterday) and will be back again in early August, and then for the Travers on August 27. Afleet Alex will be running in the Travers and should draw a crowd of around 60K. Like I said, if you've never been there, it is a great weekend trip in the summer...
  11. THAT WAS WORTH IT!!! I love the b.j. he manages to slip the Pats. Thanks for posting, I'm kinda glad I don't have insider. Do you find that it's worth the money?
  12. Scroll down about halfway on the ESPN homepage and there is a closeup pic of JP and a link for the article on the lower righthand side (just below the ESPN poll)
  13. Yeah, I agree...big question mark, blah blah blah...the author ain't original, but I would sure read the article if it was free....just hoping someone could post it. I'm sure it's all the recycled "film everyday with Sam Wyche" stuff.
  14. Just below the poll on the ESPN website (vote Bills) there is an "Insider" article which apparently will go into detail about why people think JP will suck. There will also be another about Carson Palmer going to the Pro Bowl. Could someone be so kind as to post the JP chat wrap?
  15. I thought of that...or maybe they aren't considered a sleeper at all, simply a contender....but c'mon, the Bengals and Ravens!
  16. http://www.espn.com Scroll down to bottom right- Vote Bills baby! They're struggling!
  17. I see some love for Bradford Banta coming in a post in the very near future....
  18. I have no problem with sideline reporters, but it makes no sense if they are not hot (sorry ladies). If we're going to have someone report on injuries or the color of a guy's socks, at least give us a babe to look at. Where did Melissa Stark go? And have you seen Erin Andrews, the blonde on ESPN? She could talk into my microphone.
  19. He should have hung a lifevest around it and told her to blow into the tube
  20. How could we forget the Biscuit, Mr. Cornelius Bennett himself, sodomizing that woman? I'm not sure he was a Bill at the time, but I know his court dates were in Buffalo, because I remember one of the radio stations outside the courthouse roasting foot-long weiners. Apparently there was some testimony on the size of Biscuit's biscuit which was flattering for CB, but not so much for the girl's backside. I don't recall the outcome of the case.
  21. I thought that was Brooke Burke in those commercials. Dang, she is slammin hot.
  22. I bought the tix in Tampa before I knew where they were. I'm going to be in town and I just want to be at the game. This guy obviously bought his tix without knowing if his seats are any good, because he wants to go to the game. So what's the difference. You'll be there and have fun. That's what I told him.
