  1. Uhh, hoping that tweet is about anything other than football.  I for one completely agree the edition of Von Miller would do wonders for Mr Hughes.  Let us also not forget his level of play has NOT dropped off that much.  Just last year he was still one of the league leaders in QB pressures.  Maybe the sacks weren't there but I'd love to see him out there opposite Von on 3rd downs next year....I'd bet serious coin his sack numbers increase from last year.

Is it merely a matter of Beane not wanting to pay him what he's asking for for his services?

I was right about these two, really didn’t want either. I’ve been wrong, I liked EJ. It’s one thing for us to get things wrong, but how is that so many professionals can be so wrong?

I think the jury can still be out on Darnold, I don't think I'm ready to call it on him just yet.  The guy has had the complete opposite of Allen in no consistency whatsoever, no line, no real receiving talent, tons of injuries.  I'm not saying I think he's anywhere remotely near Allen's level, but that he could possibly be a serviceable QB if given the chance...Rosen, yeah I was dead wrong on, I'm among those who clamored for us to draft him.

He waited this long to start training again?!?!? That is why he doesn't have a 500 yard passing game yet.

Something tells me he'll be crossing that off his "list" before the seasons over.  Just a matter of time baby....

Not to mention, it's quite a feat to accomplish and not something that happens very often.  Roethlisberger holds the record with 4 total times (3 regular season 1 postseason), and Brees (both regular season) and Brady(once regular season once postseason) both twice.  Norm Van Brocklin's record for the first game with 554 yards all the way back in 1951 still stands to this day.  Count me among the least shocked if/when that record falls this year.

    Big things baby, big things....

Dodson really does make a lot of sense if we can sign a vet corner. Speed with tremendous hands.  Josh’s passes aren’t like the others. Gotta have guys with glue for mitts

Super understated point, Josh throws some serious heat and nothing at all wrong with having oversized mitts to reel them lasers in.  In watching Watsons tape I also noted how naturally catches the majority of passes with his hands, love how he brings the ball in.  In all honesty I would be thrilled if we took him at 25 and don't think it'd be a reach at all.   I literally salivated watching his YouTube video.  IMO he'd look damn good in a Bills uni...

His name is Marquez Stevenson. With the Crowder acquisition, re signing McKenzie and Davis being as good as I believe he is, I think we're good at WR. Also the beauty of having a Stefon Diggs is he'll bring great intensity and leadership to the WR room and bring out the best from the younger guys.

Stevenson was 1st team all ACC in 18 and 19 and has freakish speed. He seemed to gain confidence in the coaching staff with his late season return duties.

Davis takes Sanders role. Crowder takes Beasleys role. McKenzie can play in or out and Stevenson can be what McKenzie was last year.

I could totally see a Diggs , McKenzie and Stevenson 3 WR set. I think he could at least be a Hardman type of WR WR because his pure speed is super elite and will always gain attention for his deep threat ability.

I wouldn't be opposed to drafting a WR in rd 5 or later but we quietly built a really good WR room even with 2 veteran losses. Hodgins is also sitting there as a total wildcard. He might not cut it in the NFL but he's only going on year 3

    What yall think?

    His college tape is insane!

I'm certainly not giving up on him, but I tend to agree with FireChans in that he really didn't do too much last year, outside of a couple of decent punt returns.  I'm down to see what he can do given a chance or two at WR....However, this year's draft just has such sexy prospects it's hard to ignore the fact at least one or two bonafide stars could be there waiting for us when we pick...

Kyle Hamilton is the defensive player McDermott has been wanting since he’s arrived in Buffalo.

As talented as Hamilton is, I can't lie, if Beane were to trade up for him, I'd be disappointed...maybe it's the fact Hyde and Poyer just had unbelievable seasons, or the glaring need at CB, or the glut of uber talented WR's, but that's the one trade up player I'd least want to see.

You're both recognizing the need to add a CB early in the draft, AND celebrating Beane for not leaving a "GAPING hole" at CB heading into the draft.

Let's not overthink this. CB is a HUGE need.

I do acknowledge we need to address the CB spot, I guess I just don't see it as a gaping hole.   I have great faith in Jackson solidifying his spot at CB2, loving Taron Johnson at the nickel spot.  After that, Neal is next man up.....

Okay, CB is a huge need.  I stand corrected....

Still thank Cleveland for taking Mayfield...and that I was never more wrong in wanting "The Other Josh"

My sentiments exactly.  I too wanted "the other Josh".  And have no problem admitting I threw the remote when they announced the pick.  But its never felt so good being so wrong, and that crow was actually delicious... 🙂

  9. I almost feel like it's a no-brainer.  Beane has addressed so many needs its insane, yet absolutely nothing at the CB spot.

And because of that, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he went WR, OL, or somewhere else.  We all know how every year in the 1st round teams make picks noone saw coming, be they reaches, head scratchers, etc, thus causing players to fall.  Nothing is off the table when it comes to our GM, and I love that.  But obviously the safe bet is CB.

Can I just say that it feels really, really good to head into the draft with no GAPING holes, and we have the luxury of actually going after BPA?  I honestly cannot think of an offseason like this one, and haven't been as excited for an upcoming season as I am for this one.  I have no clue whatsoever how I'm going to get through the next 5 months without spontaneously combusting.

  10. While I completely agree w/you regarding Oliver and Groot, this feels like the classic domino effect.  It's very rare when one player comes in and changes things up like the addition of Miller has the potential to do.  Every level, IMO, is gonna benefit, in a major way...and yes I agree Oliver could quite possibly benefit moreso than others.  Like you said, by the end of the season, he was clearly not just our best d lineman, he was becoming practically unblockable from a one on one standpoint.  My goodness the possibilities are endless.

Edmunds is either completely stoked at the Miller signing(plus Settle, Jones, Phillips), or maybe even feeling a bit of pressure, because right now, all the chips have fallen into place for him to play his best ball.  As cablesabres68 said, he should be able to play much more instinctively now.  This has got to be a put up or shut up year for Edmunds, and I believe this move, above all things, will show us what we truly have in our MLB, and will allow Beane and Co make the best decision regarding Edmunds future in Buffalo.

Love this as a TE2.... he couldn't break out with Brady so my expectations are that of a TE2 red zone target that might make some big plays.  Forget his pre-draft hype, he doesn't appear to be that elite player he was eclectic to be.  But this is great for depth.

Agree 100%.  I'm an eternal glass half full guy, but my thinking is, if he couldn't excel playing for Brady, who is the absolute master at running the two TE system, plus the fact he's coming off an Achilles tear, my expectations of him are pretty low.  So if we can get any real production out of him it's all upside.  And like many on here said, perhaps a change of scenery will do him some good, AND I'd like to think Josh can pull something out of him that few other QBs could.

4.39   40.   6’ 1” 217lbs.  A faster and bigger Marshawn Lynch.  Breece can run, catch, and block. He has 2 seasons with over 1,400 yards rushing. Out of all the running backs this year, he is the one I want the most. I really hope we can finally get a star RB to compliment Allen. I would roll with Breece and Singletary.

I'll be honest, I didn't realize that he was 6'1, 217.  And ran a 4.3 40???  That is some serious speed packed into that big ol frame.  Sheesh....

That is a tough call....I am on record (I know everyone is keeping track) as saying that the Dick Jauron years were my least favorite years of Bills football..not necessarily their worst, but I hated Jauron as head coach. Boring, scared football... I knew Rex was an awful hire, and was not happy when they hired him...but I will admit, I fell for the hype just a little that first year... so glad we are past all that!

  15. Guys, hear me out for just a second....

Is CB a situation of dire need, most pressing, urgent as I think the consensus on here feel?  I only ask because like I mentioned in another thread, I am very, very encouraged by Dane Jackson's play last year, and do believe he can be our CB2 opposite Tre.  I have been a huge fan of Taron's for years now, the guy is an absolute dog at the nickel corner spot, IMO isn't just one of our best tacklers on the team, but he simply just loves gettin after it.  I agree with many of you who feel Taron Johnson would perform well on the outside, I just love him so much at the nickel spot I say if it ain't broke don't fix it....I think we go CB at #25, and we surprisingly get one of the top CB's there this year, it wouldn't shock me one bit if we landed McDuffie, Booth, or Elam, and I haven't ruled out the outside shot of Gardner or perhaps Stingley, simply because of the fact there's always four or five jawdropper pics that go completely unexpected that drop guys lower than expected....

  16. I think it's a very valid question, and I will say this...

IMO, if the Bills didn't do a single additional thing this offseason, right now, this roster is EFFING INSANE, and super bowl caliber, hands freakin down.  Even with Tre's uncertainty post ACL tear, not knowing for certain that Dane will be okay as our CB2 and no real depth beyond Taron at the nickel.  As a matter of fact, I think this is the most talented roster that I have EVER seen in my entire lifetime.  Next season, anything, and I do mean anything short of a Lombardi trophy, would HAVE to be considered a disappointment, to put lightly.  So if Buffalo were to lose a game, particularly in the fashion it did in the loss to KC, how can you NOT at some point look at the HC and say, "What's up man?"

  17. Hey guys, sorry to Debbie Down this celebration, but I've got a bit of bad news.

Upon hearing of the Miller signing, I immediately rejoiced, jumping up and down, ran outside, stripped naked and began running down the street.  Unfortunately, I'm not in the best shape, and after about 30 yards or so, my heart gave out on me, and I collapsed right on my street.  I was pronounced dead about 46 minutes ago.  That was the bad news.  The good news is I'm happy to report they have wifi up here In heaven, so I'll be cheering our Bills on LITERALLY in spirit!!

Go Bills!!!  Beane is an effing wizard!!!  Let's get this Lombardi trophy dammit!!

  18. Listen, count me amongst you that is a bit puzzled we let him walk for 4 mil per. And yes, with Tre coming off an ACL tear, CB is most pressing need right now.  But I also would like to say I was absolutely thrilled with the job that Dane Jackson did when thrust into starting duty, and I would be lying if I said I didn't have extremely high expectations for him this year.  Who's to say he can't continue to blossom into our CB2 role, and hello, we have a freakin dog at our nickel corner spot, uhh his name is Taron Johnson....and when we draft at #25, I fully expect one of the blue chip CB's to still be there for the plucking...
